Your hair is so long!!! I am 13 months post relaxer and I have no length Lol. I'm still gonna force myself to big chop hopefully in the next week or so. You have gorgeous hair!! Love it!
I swear you're my inspiration im transitioning and it's hard sometimes I be wanting to give up but I watch yours videos & I take all of your advice so it really helps me ..thanks so much
+JourneyTo WaistLength is it bad if I brought curly hair products and I'm transitioning.... I'm 4 months post.. I didn't know if it hurts my permed hair if I applied it or not
Great video as usual. The time and dedication you put into caring for your transitioning hair only shows how well you will care for your natural hair. You are going to have a glorious head of healthy long natural hair I can see it now. Your natural hair is so think and beautiful. Keep up the good work.
Murielle Butchuen heyyy! Conditioner doesn't do anything for my hair. I don't like applying DC to wet hair. My hair doesn't absorb it when i do. I like to let my shampoo sit on my scalp.
It looks so simple! I feel like having the longer ends attached makes it a little easier to section off hair. If we have similar length of natural hair, you might notice a difference when just natural. In any case, Im excited for my hair to be longer for these stretched braid out looks!
I automatically fell in love with this video. I'm about to start my transitioning journey (18 wks post last relaxer) and this video was exactly what I needed to hear.
Your braid out is beautiful!!! I've never thought about letting the deep shampoo sit on the scalp while deep conditioning! Great video! Thanks for sharing!
I really don't know how I haven't come across this video in the last few years, this would have saved me a whole lot of tangling stress and balls of lost hair strands. It's 2:40am and I have been detailing my hair out of 6 cornrows I had under a wig for 3wks SINCE 8PM!!!!.. serious dreading wash day. Thank you for sharing, it has kinda eased my stress for washing. I am just 13 wks post relaxer!!... this hair journey is something!
I really love your Wash day routine. It's simple clear and u give to your hair everything it needs. I like it. I am 8 month post and I still dont know how to style my hair I think that I will probably rob your hair style idea it's so cute 😱😍 thank you so much !
I don't use shampoo anymore. I started using aztec bentonite clay(Apple cider vinegar, olive oil, and a conditioner leave on 30 mins and deep condition with ORS hair mayonnaise after. Bentonite clay sold at whole foods or amazon.com. My braidout on transitioning hair was awesome. New growth was soft and detangled easier. I encourage everyone to try. Might use twice a month.
I transitioned for 16 months and then I made the decision to let go of those relaxed ends. I was at a comfortable length and then I big chopped. It was a release for me. Girlfriend when you are ready, let them ends go, when you are ready, of course.
this is the best yet! (even though this is 2 years old lol) i stopped relaxing over 5 years ago (mamybe more-i dont remember) but i continued going to the dominican salon...i want my natural curls back but it's been rough for me. I have to try this method.......
Your hair is so healthy to be transitioning!! I haven't fully got the hang of finger detangling. Do you have a video on that? I think I pull more hair out when I finger detangle then when using a wide tooth comb, it seems to get tangled on my fingers and takes forever.
I transitioned for a few years, my hair grew down to my tailbone. After awhile my permed ends tangled so bad it caused a huge set back. If I could go back I would've just done the big chop in the beginning.
were you trimming your hair at least every 6 weeks? I'm asking because I just started transitioning (4 months now) and I don't know if I should just do the big chop or not.
+urockit2011 No I didn't do any trimming at all🙈 i didn't have any problems, until I hit the 24th month. But I also wore wigs and didn't have to manipulate my hair everyday. Cutting it in the beginning is easier down the road, however it really depends on how you feel! If you're attached to your hair, just cut a little bit at a time. Scalp massages, vitamins, coconut oil, and a good wash routine will work wonders either way😘
hey girl! Your hair really reminds me of mine! except I big chopped two years ago but did the same long transition/big chopped earlier than i wanted to (it was super annoying and i was excited lol) and had super long relaxed hair too. Just wanted to say good luck on your journey!
Thanks for sharing this video!!! But baby girl your killing me over here I'm so ready to see you cut those relaxed ends off hopefully it would be your next video u upload 💇🏽🙌🏾
Loved it 😀😄 And your makeup was on point. Lol. How long do your braid outs or twist outs usually last? Does your hair get frizzy when it's humid or does the hair style look the same at the end of the day as it does when you first take it down?
DARKPurpleNailPolish this braid out unfortunately didn't last at all lol. like a day but all my other braid outs last about 4 days. My hair doesn't change with humidity, since i have low porosity hair= stubborn hair
Is there a particular reason why you don't use conditioner? And why do you deep condition with the shampoo still on your head. it's really interesting I never saw anyone do this before.
I heart your your videos.!!!!! You look beautiful ,your curls very pretty and, healthy. Love the makeup can you do a tutorial? Do you know if the mega growth deep treatment have mineral oil? What made you decided to go natural? I'm natural for 4yrs it's being a challenge. After watching your channel on braids it really help me a lot.. Did the braids really help in your hair growth?
How often did you wash your hair? The method works extremely well with my hair. I just want to know how often I should wash my hair. I love your channel btw😍❤️
Yoir hair looks great and u look awesome....your vids really help me out...am one yr no lye...its such a long process on a wash day but these videos help make life easy.
Ok, I have been following along with you. You are way ahead of me lol. I believe I am 6 or 7 months post relaxer. To this day, I still experience breakage. Did you experience alot of breakage during these months? What did you do to reduce breakage? I kind of have a slight feeling that my natural hair isn't growing anymore lol...what do I do?
Reana LeBlanc yea the early months are the hardest but I installed box braids doing those months and kept my hair in a stretched state. Check out my video transitioning tips
Yabome Kanu Hi, I've heard apple cider vinegar works.(1 part vinegar 2 parts water) put everything into a spray bottle and spray your scalp daily. Also head and shoulder shampoo, but you have to be consistent
Try using Apple cider vinegar as a shampoo. You can dilute it with water in a spray bottle, spray it directly onto your scalp, then massage it into your scalp. I've had a dry, itchy, and flaky (dandruff) scalp for years, and after a few weeks of using Apple cider vinegar, its helped tremendously.
can I wash my hair like the way u directed in the other video when u was showing the product u use in your hair ? I'm am kind of confuse, idk which video will help me better either this video or the other one. which one do u think that u have given more steps to washing your hair that will help me ?
You make it look so easy lol. I would become so frustrated and everything would be a tangled mess. Do your new growth become tangled and knotted? I'm relaxed and mine becomes tangled and matted around 12 weeks
Kim D. no.. when i was 3-5 months post yes. Once i passed that mark things were a breeze. Those are the hardest month for most people. The hair is dry and rough, its referred to as the scab hair. If you are transitioning or want to stretch your relaxer further, Try installing box braids during that time, it will make things easier for you. Also deep conditioning with every wash will help
I thought you couldn't transition and still use heat on your hair? In the videos on transitioning I have watched so far, I haven't seen someone dry their hair then twist/braid it. and it looks like you started with a fully blown head - so the heat didn't disrupt your natural hair coil/curl integrity from coming back?
How many months post relaxer are you? Because I hair is similar to yours except when I wash it goes into mini tight curls, which is annoying to DETANGLE so I wanna know the length my hair would be like in some months so I can big chop!
My last relaxer was 1st Aug 2013, want to big chop at 2 years of transition, but i think i'll wait until u big chop first lol. I'll get the strength to do it wen u do. 🙈
Beautiful hair :) in the info you say you wash your hair twice a week, do you blow dry twice a week too? (unless doing a f.rod set) Do you feel your hair takes heat well?
FuzzBuzz♡ yes, that was also mentioned in the description. I have low porosity hair so yes it does :) I have a video on porosity in the description as well
Couple questions... If heat is so detrimental, why apply it to your hair by flat ironing, especially on your wash day? I'm a little confused. Also, keeping the relaxed ends of your hair are doing no good when it comes to wearing your hair natural so why not just cut it off?
Janae Quinones heat will cause damage if you over use it and don't use the right Techniques. If you are experiencing severe breakage then yes cutting off the relaxed hair is the best choice but if you're not then why cut your hair? If you're ready to cut then cut. Im walking proof that transitioning long term is possible and thst you can have a positive out turn
Thanks for sharing this video, I have to use the LCO Method also the LOC doesn't work for my thick hair. I was wondering how often do you blow dry your hair?
JourneyTo WaistLength my hair has been creamed r relaxed for 3weeks and I wanna go back natural do u think I can try this and it will get back natural?
hey, I don't know if you already big chopped but k was wondering f you could make a video of night time care for transitioning hair, for example if I did a twist out on my 4 month transitioning hair, at night how would I wrap or take care of it ? and if you already big chopped could you give me some advise on some night time care? thank you!
Hi I have just started transitioning and I’m finding the hardest part is keeping my hair from tangling after I’ve done the shampoo, and deep conditioning because of the two textures any suggestions on how to cut down on tangling?
Ughhh I always end up putting a relaxer in my head because I don't know how to do hair and I am "tender headed" lol I just took out some havana twist (so right now I am trasitioning) and I'm trying not to put a relaxer in my head, so I'm going to the salon because I can't comb this stuff.
I did a big chop on my hair in August and haven't put heat on my hair from the end of August till last Saturday. I wanted to know if it's okay to apply heat (straightening) to your hair while transitioning and how would you do it.
I shampooed and deep conditioned at the same time using the creme of nature with argan oil intensive conditioning treatment and the creme of nature detangling and conditioning shampoo and left that in for an hour.... My ? Is if i did that at the same time does one don't take away from the other or is it better depending on your hair type
Hi! Great video. Um I know everyone's hair is diffent, but I think I have a problem I'm almost a year into transitioning, and after I wash my hair and I'm styling like one side of my hair I get to the other side and my hair is just DRY. Like my new growth .. Its like I have to soak it in water again, and I always DC. I don't know what wrong :( lol
New subbie here♥♥LoveLoveLove you videos. I'm am transitioning, but in the back all my relaxed hear has fallen of and I dont know how to style my hair, what do I do??
