Absolutely loving this series. Having just had my Discovery 5 ceramic coated I have gone out and bought all new car equipment. Don't get me wrong I will still take my car to a detailer every couple months but I do enjoy washing it myself. Glad to have found your channel!! 👍

Thanks for the video mate! What I usually do is spray another round of snow foam before my two bucket wash. More lubrication and also the foam acts as a guide for potential areas I might have missed. 😜

I also like the two bucket method because I don't need as much water and soap for my wash bucket. I always measure my liquid soap per directions. Depending on the soap and dilution ratios I reckon that I get at least an extra wash or two from each container of shampoo. I.e. instead of 3 gallons of water for just the wash bucket I use 1 gallon for rinse and only 2 gallons for the wash. So instead of using (for example) 2oz.of soap per gallon x3=6oz. I need only 4oz. of soap. Win-win...a more effective method of cleaning and more economical too.

Hello Dave good video mate :) I use 1 bucket with 2 grit guards in it but pressure wash 1st then foam and rinse again then contact wash. I only use rain water for the car from a 3275lt or 720 imp gallons rain water tank.

I am contemplating using a one bucket method with an empty one by its side. Don’t use a mitt or a pad, but use 10 or so plush microfibres (500 GSM or more ) and as soon as it’s say done a 1/4 of the car put it straight in empty bucket, never put it back in the water bucket, then use a fresh microfibre as so on, this will eliminate any grit touching the car 100% and save on water too
@epicautomotivedetailing

Go for stubby gun and you can easily rinse as you go 👌

I personally use the 2 bucket method, I do a panel, flop the mitt then rinse it under some water and dunk it, I'm going to try to get 2 buckets wkth a grit guard tho

hi i have two questions :) 1) because i clean a few cars a day would i have to empty and refill the shampoo bucket after every car i wash or can i use the same shampoo bucket for the whole day? 2) as a pre wash we dont use shampoo foam we use TFR or traffic film remover. is TFR good to use a pre wash or shampoo foam? Thanks.

Good point provided you done a good prewash before hand I'd say it's not mega important but of you skip pre wash I'd do front first and allow longer for shampoo to dwell and break down bug splat's
