Thanks... still helpful five years later. I'm just getting in to fivefingers and paranoid about rubber degradation after ruining a pair of Blundstone's ten years ago: I'd been storing them next to a baseboard heater in my then-new house, and several months later the soles dissolved in my hand suddenly one morning. A few calls to (very helpful) Blundstone customer service determined that the heat had killed the rubber...
Been a while since I washed them. Forgot if I needed to put in dryer. Thank you for the reminder. I like to put clothes soap on the inside. Both wet and powder. Cover the entire inside. I let that dry and sit a few days. That's because the inside turns black in my pair. My own fault for not washing them enough. Plus I still ad wash soap to the load of clothes. Will do pillow case. It's an old pair. Want to keep them as good as possible. Got them in 2016. Still in great shape. Stay happy. 😊
Thanks for the video dude - I am about to wash mine for the first time and I wanted to know if they are washing machine safe so this is really handy. Another Tip I have for everyone is RE: Drying... you can hang them from a coat hanger with two clothes pegs in a window on a hot day..that works well.. or in a shower room.
Raisa Dianne Bernardo Yes as +StephenDeadToLife says you can buy special socks with them. I sometimes wear socks with them, but sometimes just go barefoot - depends how I feel :-)
What if I wanted to shrink my pair a size or two down? Have you ever tried that? Would 90C hot water just melt the shoes? Could you try with an old pair and post the results?
