I mean it's not that it's wrong. I feel he says that more in like an artistic/aesthetic way. Like an amateur painter who has the right idea but could make it better with the proper technique and knowledge to develop their own style. In the end, what you have and feel comfortable is right, but if you want to convey the swagger then here's some aesthetic tips
Frugal aesthetic (s/o Christian, funniest fashion RU-vidr no contest) made a video relating to color theory and people sticking too close to the rules or confines of matching tones (rather than using those “rules” as a reference point). This is very similar but instead it’s relating to the proportions of your outfit. You can bend the rules or straight up not follow them if your outfits still cohesive.
Just reference Japanese fashion brands and how they style baggy clothes if you want to get that wide silhouette look. Most notably Yohji Yamamoto fits are very loose.
you can wear slim shoes with wide pants if the pants fully rest over the shoe in a relaxed sort of slouchy manner. (like the back of the pants is right on the heel) I think having the really wide leg right up ontop of the thin shoe looks really intentional and stylish.
Good tips, thanks. It’s not a baggy jeans in your video, looks like straight or relaxed jeans. Baggy is much wider 😁 And I wear it with sneakers like GG super-star or Adidas Sambo and it looks good 🙌
i feel good looking at your videos because even before i started following your style, i had been doing exactly what you say in your videos, the color choice, the choice of clothes and now this one... i can tell that your style and my style are superimposable...
This is so correct. I see so many guys wear baggy jeans where its slipping off the hips and their butt hangs out when they crouch down. Wear a belt man! How are you supposed to run when the time comes?
I’d love to wear jeans more often but my waist is much more slim than my legs, so when i get a pair that fits my waist they’re too tight around my thighs and when they fit my legs correctly they’re too wide for my waist. Any tips?
I personally don't like baggy jeans + fitted top combo on men, for me it's like antipattern. I think baggy jeans + extra baggy top is the best option. For example long and baggy sweatshirt with loose bottom or oversized plaid flannel shirt. For this look it's better for jeans to be shorter - above the ankle or even higher. In the end, who gives a f about my opinion? Wear whatever you like
@@Tom_Swift It's probably that baggy jeans just aren't your style. Tim gives loads of good advice on a variety of different styles-- but not all styles will agree with you mate.
Those length of those jeans were damn near perfect for those sneakers. I do get his point and he’s right, especially in my case. Never been a skinny jeans guy. Just awful for a bigger dude.
