The funny thing about discontinued products is that, years later, we still think we miss them, when we probably already found something better, because formulas are always improving. What we used to think of as 'super natural full coverage', 5 years ago, probably looked cakey, by today's standards and, likely, today's version of that will look bad next to the next generation of products; and so on

I love hearing you talk ‘absolute nonsense’. 😉 You know, the first makeup tutorial I ever watched was one of yours, called ‘Me Applying Makeup Badly’, or something like that…many more years ago than I care to remember! I’d only clicked on it because I thought it was a joke video - I was only 14 and not really allowed to wear makeup, but I soon would. You were doing a tutorial but it kinda went wrong. You just carried on anyway, piling makeup onto one eye, with such brilliant artistry and abandon, and you talked about whatever issues were on your mind. As a child, I loved the idea of makeup, but I had been given the impression that it was for shallow people. (Crazy, I know!) That video was the first time I’d seen someone who was deeply intelligent obsessed with makeup. Pixiwoo became my beauty school and I’ve loved you and Nic ever since 😊 xXx (Also, I’m sooo happy you’re back on RU-vid - don’t really use Instagram.)

I agree about all the blending and perfection. Plus it’s not really attainable for most of us. I’m 63 and wear what colours I like and how I like them! I adapt them for the situation. Make up is meant to be fun.

A recreation of your bridal look that you wore would be cool. Always look so effortless and chic I'm just obsessed with everything you create. Bought contrast eyeshadow because of your Kristen Stewart w magazine look years ago and wore it for my school prom. Going to pull out coppering and rock this look for a family party I have coming up! I still watch RU-vid video's on my laptop when I'm getting ready or sometimes on my TV while doing some work. So I definitely prefer the landscape. Especially with things like makeup tutorials I like to see properly how the product applies and what it looks like on. Thanks for doing both :)

Thank you for doing landscape as well! This looks very cool, but I don't think you could get away with it. The older I get, the less makeup I wear. It just doesn't look good anymore (not that I am a big makeup person to begin with). But I do love seeing makeup tutorials, it is very relaxing. 😁

Really like that you’re back like this more lowkey! For a lot of us your channel taught us how to do makeup and in a realistic way and I still use Mac Patina after learning of it from one of your vids. Sadly I find that eye makeup doesnt look as good anymore as I’m 40 and have droopy eyelids, one more than the other and I used to love doing eyeliner but now it just looks bad. Not a fan of the weird eyeliner tricks that just look odd when you close your eyes :( is there any other ways of doing it that you could share?
