Wet Sifting! How to turn 40 buckets of diamond bearing material into 1 bucket of highly concentrated material. I show in this video, a two step process for wet sifting with both a set of box screens and with a saruca. This method allows you to reduce the amount of material that you need to sort through to find your diamonds to a much smaller amount! The Crater of Diamonds State Park will only allow you to carry out a single 5 gallon bucket of WASHED gravel, so make it worth the effort!

Hey guys, within the video descriptions I have included links to the tools and equipment that I use, along with many other items you see in the videos. Check them out!

Hey Solomon, thanks for sharing more great info. I like the idea of searching the larger (1\4" screen) for larger diamonds while it is still nested on the lower and finer screen. So the finer screen can catch ALL the material that falls out of the 1\4" screen.

Solomon, you were REALLY WASHING FAST there for a little bit. Sometime you'll have to show me how to do that. I'm always looking for ways to speed up my diamond washing process. Seriously, though, this is a good video. Thank you for posting it. I'm going to share it on the COD and my Diamonds in Arkansas Facebook pages.

The top screen is 1/4" - what is the screen size for the bottom screen?, and the saruca? Thanks! This was really informative.
@TheArkansasDiamondMiner
@TheArkansasDiamondMiner Год назад
Usually the screen on the bottom and the saruca are either 16 or 20 mesh. I prefer the 16 since it makes the process go faster and I am not overly worried in the smallest diamonds getting through the 16.

Saw an online article about you finding a big chocolate colored diamond. This link was somewhere in that article so I came to see. I had no idea anyone could even look for diamonds in the US. :-) I have heard the west has some parks to look for gold. Sound like a great family activity for vacations. Any costs associated with finding diamonds in a park? People look for wild mushrooms in Oregon, maybe Washington and California, don't know. They charge for the right to do so. I suppose you have to pay something. :-)
@TheArkansasDiamondMiner
@TheArkansasDiamondMiner 2 года назад
The costs of entry are around $10 per day, and some equipment rental fees if you choose to go that route. There is great camping here near the park too. The diamond was found by another miner, they only linked my video for an example of the method he used (which is the most productive method). Thanks for watching!!
@work2gather

@@TheArkansasDiamondMiner Sorry about that. :-) Nice video though. Thanks for the info on the park. Have you ever read "ACRES OF DIAMONDS" ?? It has a description of where to find diamonds, and I didn't think we (USA) had any places like that, so I was very surprised to hear we do.

How much did the screens cost that you got in town and where in town did you get them?
@TheArkansasDiamondMiner
@TheArkansasDiamondMiner 4 года назад
thomas westerfield i bought these sets for $28 at the house on the left about a mile before the entrance to the park. There is a sign on the left of the road. He has been selling them for years, they are very good quality.

I’m going there today and it’s planning to rain. Will that effect anything?
@TheArkansasDiamondMiner
@TheArkansasDiamondMiner 4 года назад
Bella Owen rain can uncover diamonds and will concentrate gravel. It will also make it very muddy, be sure to wear boots.

Quarter inch on the top screen - what size is the bottom screen? And is the saruca the same size mesh as the bottom screen?
@TheArkansasDiamondMiner
@TheArkansasDiamondMiner 3 года назад
Bottom screen is usually 14, 16, or 20 mesh. The screens here are 1/4 and 16 mesh, and the saruca is 16 as well.

What is the difference between a screen and a saruca
@TheArkansasDiamondMiner
@TheArkansasDiamondMiner 3 года назад
A saruca is usually a single screen that is circular. Screen sets are usually more than a single size, cascading from larger to smaller to help classify the sizes as material falls through them. Both can be used to center heavies. Hope this clears it up for you!

Shirley Burns these are from Mr Graves. He sells them from his home, it is on the left when you drive from the town square to the park. Great quality. I have had these for a long while.

Hey Solomon, we're headed that way tomorrow and had a question about box sifters! Is it better to buy them outside the park or rent them inside? I wasn't sure of the quality of the one's inside!

Craig Bynog at the moment, they cannot be rented at the park. They will need to be purchased prior to entry. There are a few places in town that sell them.
