very nice video man im just in the learning process im getting better and better but i think with a couple of your tipps i will wheelie like a god in a couple of weeks :D
The scariest part is going too far up and being afraid to flip all the way over, but if you have that back bar on there you should be good,as long as you're going slow ,

whenever i wheelie sitting down and the quad comes all the way up i just hold on and push the brake all the way and it usually comes down of i’ll just end straight up still on it till it stops lol
depends, if you pull the bike towards you as you fall itll def. fall on you but if you give it the slightest push be4 you fall( within that split second ) itll land on its 4 wheels ( out of experience ). Have a Safe Wheelie Wensday!
i wheelie my blaster all the time now my dad he has 1986 lt250r and he just sits on back and the danm thing comes up he doesn’t have to lean back he just sits there and i’m like it took a week to get it down and you just fly past me......wth
I'm not trying to sound like a smartass, I know people have different ways of doing things, but is standing on the back rack really necessary for a Yamaha banshee? I mean, those have so much power.
+Peepaw Chance It makes it alot easier to balance and you just feel more stable standing rather than hanging off the handlebars. And the banshee is powerful, but compared to modern ATVs it's alot weaker, it's just a riders preference. I prefer standing, just feels better, I can see over the front to see ahead of me better, etc.
what size tires you run i have a 22x11-9 rear & a 22x8-10 front.. are they to big to wheelie? because its hard everyone on youtube banshee have small tires when they wheelie
no it cant, but like jlsparky said your landing on all 4 instead of pushing down on 2 on all 4 wheels the weight is being distributed...and jumping isnt that good either unless you have someone who will keep rebuilding your shocks or your sponsored by a shock manufacturer with aftermarket shock's... if your gonna jump do it right and i think JLSPARKY7 should make a video of how to do some killer jumps. i have a faint heart and i pusy out be4 jumping i have never been higher than 3-4 feet
I used to be decent at it back in the day, had a raptor 700 with a twist throttle , now I've got a yfz450 ,I've been practicing the last couple of days , and i rode a dew decent wheelies out, some standing up some sitting down, some people say it's easier standing up ,think it's easier for me sitting down, but i put it on the wheelie bar a few times
i mean wheelie a 4 stroke seem easier cause the lift off is easy cause direct power but a banshee i struggle i do power wheelies from moving and giving it powerwhen the power band hits... i wanna learn to do normal wheelies, i did get my 4 stroke honda 300 up but like i still end up doing power wheelies but i can get it up from a stop but i cant find my balance...
best video tutorial on the tube man i feel more comfortable now to attempt it after owning my quad for around 4months and really not kowning where i should actually start. im not the best rider but definitely not the worst however wheelies ive just never been any good at i guess after trying them abit on my 2 wheeler and coming off i decided to give it up and try 4 wheels with the hope it would be easier.. wish me luck. ... oh i have a HondaTRX 450ER.
they should just make a rear grab bar that comes bent upward like that we are just gonna end up bendin it up anyhow and it makes it easier to stand on lol. My YFZ450 has a piece of plastic that sticks out right there and I am always worried about getting my boot stuck in it, I like how the Banshee and Warriors didnt have that.. considering a hack job lol
Just saw this in my video in my feed , subscribed because it's a great video and your on a Banshee!!! Just wanted to add one thing, Don't forget to breathe when you're doing/practicing wheelies!!! Lol.
my honda 400 ex ... is built a tad but it is a wheelie monster, sit back on the seat a tad blip the throttle and hang the front wheels in the air. Much easier to wheelie it than my 250r .... 2 strokes are more work by far.
Glad the vid helped. If you put a little "bounce" on the grab bar as you release the clutch that will help a ton too. I can do a more in depth video if needed.
Oh I do, I wheelie with Yamaha Warrior but the tires are different air levels so it turns to a certain side. and back break dosent work so I use clutch to go down
+Kid Prepper If that is your first ATV I suggest to go for something not too powerful like a 150cc or 200cc and learn how to drive them first... after you have some experience then you get something more like a 450cc ATV or over that, is up to you. Hondas are really nice ATV's. Easy to fix, not expensive and you can find tons of aftermarket parts. TRX450 2006+ are really good ones and also you have the YFZ450's... also good ones. Drive safe.. cheers..
Thank you soooooo much! This makes total sense to me... As a Female rider of my bike crew, Ive faced alot of presurre from my guys saying "just do it'! lol And never wanna let the boys show me up too bad so I dare not admit that logically I couldnt understand how. This video cleared that very well. I have a Yfz 450 and I kick alot of butt on it! This is gonna take me to the next level Thanks again
Hello, I have a 95' Warrior 350 and I can barely get the front end up. I weigh like 90 pounds and the clutch pop doesn't really work. I've been searching RU-vid but there are no good videos on how to wheelie. If you can help, thanks
Just like you take off normally only more throttle and release the clutch faster. If you're going straight to a slow wheelie when you'll give it lots of gas let off the clutch fast then let off the throttle fast.
I just got my 450 and have experience riding never tried any tricks or anything always rode safe but now i want to learn how to wheelie i weigh about 193 pounds i was wondering will that make it easy to wheelie and i think i will start in the grass first just incase i fall
One more thing that makes a 4-stroke a little bit easier to wheelie on is a 4-stroke has excellent engine braking so you're almost don't even need to touch the brake but I do recommend leaving your foot on rear brake so that way if you do start to go over you can stop it by applying rear brake. Really a 4-stroke is the one you wants to learn on. 👍
Hey can u pleas help me my yamaha blaster has a serious smoke problem it makes A LOT of white smoke and when the tank is full of gas i can ride max 15-30 minutes and than its emty can u pleas help me sir
A while back I was do about a 50mph wheel on my my trx 450 and and let it don't and both tie rods snapped and got hurt pretty bad, don't matter how good you are something can still happen.
You are for sure right on the fact it sounds odd , but as you have said if you have a fear of falling backwards this is a great tip to use for those who can't do a wheelie all like they want to , that's what I love to do on my 2002 350 Yamaha Warrior 2 wheels on the ground 2 in the air best feeling besides going fast as hell
thankyou i tried doing that find the balace point thing i dont now if if its becuase im 12 or my atv is super heavy its a 110 cc chienese tho but i alos have a yamaha but it dose like 70 75 so i wanted to practice on a slower bike we only have it so when friends come over but yea i poped my first real wheelie and my friend was amazed and i showed him what you showed me so we kept practicing it
Excellent tips, I started doing wheelies a day ago thanks to your video it was very helpful to me, I like when you talk about safety first of all for the rider and I love when you say about the damage that you can cause to a 4 stroke quad, I have a 450R and I had no idea about the lubrication if you wheelie for so long, thank you.
i agree with you they do hold up well but it's just a matter of time until you sit on your bike and ull realize you have 10-15 inchs of clearance from the ground... no matter what type of suspensions you have the more the jumps the closer you get to having them rebuilt oor re-tuned whichever comes first that's why theres always that one guy or team that tune's or rebuilds your suspension before and after a race ( pro-local races and national races ) hope this clears things for you
You do not need to use the clutch IF your banshee has enough power. However I would recommend using it. It will wear your clutch but not nearly as fast as racing does.
No prob man. You can always look up a gear calculator on google too. I wanna say a 2 inch increase in the rear tire is equal to 1 front tooth or three rear teeth. Pretty close to that.
Jumping isn't easy on your bearings either. However jumping is only for a split second, as well as usually landing on 4 wheels instead of staying on 2.
The weight of the rider + the weight of the bike, some people have snapped there axle's and bent them.... its not really recommended to wheelie i wheelie my bike for 30 seconds and i do it occasionally.
I have a 03 Yamaha Blaster its all stock ( except the oil injector has been removed ) and i weigh about 149 pounds how easy would it be to wheelie on it? and BTW your drawing looks like a riding mower lol. oh at almost forgot to add at the end of the video what looked to be a 99 blaster. diesel?? what ??
***** Anyone can wheelie, it is a matter of the right amount of throttle and releasing the clutch at the proper speed. The Diesel comment was because he doesn't maintain his quad and because of that is sounds very bad. Rattling, popping, nasty smell. Like diesels used to do.
ok Thanks man i just blew out my gasket between the top end and bottom end so i wont get to try it till i get the hole head and jug removed to replace a gasket.................... and ok now i know what diesel ment because i have herd it before Thanks on both!
Blaster are really easy to wheelie short wheel base light and snappy power not much power but at low gears its pretty snappy. If you want your blaster easier to wheelie I have the stock tires on my sisters and it is nicely jetted advanced the timing by like 3 degrees which makes a huge difference but it is really really easy in first and second also it is much easier to wheelie up a slight hill so if can find one rip it up practice makes perfect
i can pop up my banshee but the rear tires arte bigger than normal so when im at the balance point i get scared and dont give it any more throttle and it comes down :(
Good video. I think the front brakes do have a small effect when they are in the air. I use the brakes to to flatten out my quad if the front end is too high or it’s off level left to right. P.s nice banshee.
i am 13 and im not very heavy and i also i have 20-11x9 tires on my raptor 250 and it makes my gearing alot higher. do you have any tips or tricks for me?
