Right on the money man, and hilarious as always. They really keep missing the point with those meta changes and it is getting frustrating. Not even mentioning the massive visual downgrade that came with U9. Personally, I went from playing almost daily to maybe once a week for half a match until I drop out. Not very optimistic about where this is headed.

It was suffering to watch this because of how on point you are but I'm also happy because it was very entertaining

Haven't played HLL since Valheim got released, so thanks for giving me an update on update 9! It would be great if you could terraform grass or build epic bases, just like in valheim. I mean, who doesn't like building sims? Love to see your quality content again!

This was never a problem with the original meta from the KS. With multiple live caps and troops more disperced accross a larger map. The OP or squad spawn was the go to place to spawn. And, that meant that the wave spawn timer meant you only ever spawned in with your squad mates. Generally you only had one cetrally placed garrison, and if you spawned on that it would be as something had gone wrong, and you'd have to return to another area where you'd just lost a battle, rather than fighting close in to that garrison. But, black mata have continually moved away from anything remotely tactical.

Been saying this since update 7. The maps are just obsolete now. They need to desperately update the maps to fit the new garrison rules, but according to Johnno, this isn't something that is feasible, yet they did it to Southern Edge in Update 9, so I am confusion. Dev team at this point is just trying to get to the end of the roadmap as quick as possible and pump out the Russians for all of the "We want content" casuals who only play for a few weeks after every update and disappear for 5 months until the next update(Which I don't blame them to be honest). Leaving us die hards with more problems the devs make after each update. Nodes are a shit show now too. Take first objective, gets nodes, and have your way with the enemy team for 1hr and 20 min until they run out of Tanks and munitions for bombing runs. At least in pubs, it's not as bad because you have the off chance the other team won't build nodes and can keep it semi-close and slog it out over the center objective. I can't imagine how detrimental this is in competitive play.

As sombody who still plays Darkest Hour Europ 44-45 (Red Orchestra mod): Just make garrisons squad-specific and/ or limit its spawn tickets to 2x the squad size is was build by. And next to that have team-wide Bases where everybody can spawn. Also, they need to create more tutorials, even the infamous PDF Project Reality players are recommended to read would help to figure all this out. I think also the resource system is too much of a self-reliant or self-strengthening system as the team that is doing well, will do even better and buttfuck even more. I am thinking of offensive/defensive setups that change dynamically, like P47 bombing run for the worse team but only 50cal gun run for the winning team.

With all the new players coming in now (only 1% of all players has reached level 100…) its actually becoming fun again! Shredding 200 noobs with arty on Utah or making them ragequit on Kursk after fucking their Panther four times in a row. Who cares about the meta or garrissons… It‘s sad on the one hand but I try to make the best of it, you know. Much love from Germany, Bill! 🌝

I met a bunch of people playing this game but now we've started playing other stuff, all it takes is a similar game with a better meta and we'd probably all ditch HLL and the server we have.

100% facts, I stopped playing this game because of the meta. It's like wtf are this dudes thinking lol

Its pretty easy to win, you just join the allied team then you have an almost guaranteed chance of steam rolling the enemy. If I join a server and there is no slots in allied which there pretty much never is because everyone else knows how unbalanced this game is, I don't even bother. I am a masochist when it come to complex and unforgiving games but even this is too much, staring at a 40 second count down timer only to get spawn killed and lose just makes me feel like whats even the point.

Why not the devs make restriction not allowing both sides of the team not to build garrision within 200m of the cap point? Theyll just add some balance to the maps for more cover to place or hide garrisons.

i actually stopped playing this game for like 4 months bec of the stress i get from this game. the FPS hiccups and shit. even if i get decent KD i dont find the gameplay satisfying at all
