Not a single voice in the entire Arab or Muslim world called for an end to Egyptian and Jordanian occupation or for the establishment of a Palestinian state.
may i suggest that anytime a large population decides to immigrate to a land to create their own state that is exclusive to everything but their own religion, law, culture and traditions, and that people already live on that land that are not part of that group... then this is what happens. its hypocritical to live in a liberal democracy where it is illegal to discriminate based on religion, denounce states like Iran that sanction discrimination on those who do not adhere to state defined belief systems... but support Israel for doing the exact same thing!

The incoming Jews simply added to the Jewish population that had lived in the area for milennia, just as a minority for almost two thousand years. 2. The vast majority of Jews that emigrated to the region of palestine did not do so with the intentions you describe. They simply wanted a home where they could be safe - Some of them were even against the creation of the state of Israel. 3. Much to the dismay of some, Israel is, formally, a secular state. And contrary to the idea of it being exclusive, its founder's recognized that it would have a large number non-jewish citizens. Israel doesn't discriminate based on religion - you are conflating religion with ethnicity.
