It's an understandable instinct but in a game like this who would attack me? We've already taken out the two closest Civs to us and all of my units are in the cities closest to the next person who could attack us, may as well keep my whole army on the front line so to speak. This would obviously be a different calculation though if somebody to the East could attack us, or I couldn't just easily buy an archer or build walls to deal with barbarians if they continue to spawn. That's why I'm not doing it in this game, but it's a good thing to remember if the game were going differently for us!
Heathen conversion - Underrated promotion. I’ll often select this even in the mid-late game. Chaplain also underrated. Having Medics in the ancient era when you’re at war or fighting barbs
Watch out PotatoMcWhiskey! VanBradly is the George Patton of Civ 6 Domination! VanBradley is without question the best Civ 6 Domination player in America! The game is so easy for VanBradley that he was laughing at the A.I. several times while playing the game! I already took down three pages of notes of everything he said during the video!
Is it worth buying the Rise and Fall and Gathering Storm expansion packs.? I play dom only. I wonder if the game is better or worse now. Lots of the stuff you say I cannot do as I am pre dlc...eg governors and vampires.
my strategy usually consists of: 1. get archers out asap (3 archers 2 melee) 2. attack the nearest civ before they build walls (in Prince difficulty even late game they might not get walls in every city) 3. repeat until you have the entire landmass for yourself 3.5 ALWAYS rush planes. AI sux at defending against air strikes 4. Switch from land troops to naval 5. Find the closest coastal enemy city and take it. (dont forget to bring some land troops too to expand fast in enemy territory) 5.5 try to keep the new cities from flipping back to enemy hands 6. Nuke the sht out of whoever is left And ofcourse if im playing with Babylon i just beeline Machinery and wipe everyone out before they can even say "Hello world"
Thanks for uploading this video. I was looking for this kind of video but everyone is uploading the deity difficulty video and not one is adding anything for new players now a days. you should add "Prince" difficulty in the title so people will find this easily
Hi I am enjoying your video, I would like to ask however at 24:55 , you say you want to queue up the commercial hub to lock in the production it needs, could you explain to me this mechanic? I didn't quite understand if u had reduced production cost that turn or if it's gonna be increased later for some reason
When you place down a district, the game locks in the production cost of it. This is useful if you plan on building the district later on. The production cost of districts goes up as you research technologies and civics.
16:45 that campus has zero adjacency bonus and is worth 43 science to pillage and only take like 3 - 5 turns to repair pillaging that district would have been the better play.
IMO, the game is trash base but gets decent with mods. An essential mod I use is +2 moves for all units. So, the slowest unit is 4 moves. 100% fair because the AI gets it too. It just makes it so it doesn't take 15 turns to get to your neighbor's city. I honestly don't know what they were thinking with 2 move speed.
Monopoly and Corp game mode = Culture victory without even trying on Prince difficulty. 13:50 Easier to declare friends with the AI players you don't plan on killing for 30 turns.
I turn off all game modes and just play dom. Sure, it is simplified but heck, I love it. I play on prince but once you get to a certain point in your cities ( eg more than opponent) invariably you know you can win the game.
it's one of the dlc's, either Gathering Storm or Rise and Fall. Comes w/ governors, secret societies, and hero units that impact gameplay like crazy. I used to play vanilla, but I recommend getting the dlc's b/c it makes gameplay fun.
Governors were added in the Rise and Fall DLC, though their abilities were changed slightly in the Gathering Storm DLC. Secret Societies and Monopolies/Corporations are in the New Frontier Pass DLC.
@xSuperSoldier54 depends where you’re from, or at least where the Spanish that you’ve heard is mostly from. In Argentina, people say the ‘ll’ like a j, whereas most of the time you’d be right and its a y sound. could really be either tho
Pangala is a bad choice, Armani has that extra 2 envoys in a city state, now i know its not that useful on its own but hear me out, as long as you meet at least 1 city state first you can put her into that state and see what they revealed on the map, if you are first to meet 2 you can throw her immediately into the next city once you are suizerian, it takes like 3 turns for them to trade towns but the map stays revealed also you get era score each time make them your friends, Pangala does nothing in comparison like at 4:26 you could immediately send your dudes south, you will reveal around that city state you opened up and yeah, worth the trade off for half a point of science imo
