"The average voter isn't stupid, but they vote stupid because politics are boring, infuriating, boring and disappointing. And boring." Holy shit, no truer words were spoken.
Politics are the most interesting shit there is, like sports but actually useful. They are competetive, they have you use your brain and train critical thinking. All these feel great if you are a civilised human that longs for enlightentment and deeper understanding.
@@yokelengleng Of course not! Everyone that is interested, invested and maybe even active in politics is not a weirdo, but a blood cell of democracy. No matter your ideology (as long as it doesn't oppose democracy), the world has to thank you for your work. And people will actually thank you! If you are not in one already, please consider joining a party!
Don't even have to be obsessed, just need some working parts of your brain, a bit of internet, and have alittle care for things other than yourself. Easy recipe to becoming a good voter. But cheering for your fave football team in Qatar while slave-workers are suffering behind the curtain, is obviously far more important. I'm a disgusting cultural-marxists for even politicizing sports like this! Bah. Somebody arrest me.
@@pihlajafoxI don't even think it's about brains right now, we live in very Chaotic, insecure times. There just too much out there to focus on the distant yet important matters.
Opens with 'sponsored by CCP' and nicely wraps it all up with CCP - and the intonation on 'all is...well' at the end is pure genius. Every video is a joy to behold, thank you.
Politics have always been this bad and even worse. It’s used to be a lot worse and now we just know about how bad things are because of the internet. Before that if you weren’t constantly studying politics and travailing the world. You simply wouldn’t be able to understand how shit everything is.
I find it funny and ironic that he talked about how boring politics are, while I had been ignoring this video since I saw the thumbnail. I can say with confidence that it was worth a watch lol.
@@asbestosfibers1325 You're the fool. Anyone who doesn't indulge in the shitshow that is politics have better things to do with their time and lives. No matter who is on office, they won't do what they promised, all they want is to get power and keep it. They don't work for us, they don't give a fuck about us so why bother?
@@MezzoForte4 Yes of course, It will never be a problem for you, that is until the day it becomes. As the saying goes "when they went for the others I didn't spoke up since it wasn't me, when they went for me there was nobody left to speak up for me." An educated population that participate in politics actively is a free population, thus, if you ever find yourself running an authoritarian regime, your first objective is to undertail the education, purge the intellectuals and make the people more apathethic.
as an italian the fact that when you showed Berlusconi i felt kinda proud even after all the questionable things he did as a politican really speaks a lot about his political propaganda
Democracy is great, but what happens when people don't vote the way you want them to? You could just "fortify" the results so the correct candidate wins. Easy, no one will suspect a thing.
@@Jim-so3zm what? It’s young people taking an invested interest in who’s running their country that’ll keep democracy alive. If Luluthe wants to stay informed in their countries political climate, i dunno why you’d want them to stop.
@@Jim-so3zm You're seriously a scary chicken. We need more young people in politics not all old hags. That's why Singapore became singapore, young people is where it at.
12:58 Chris Morris! I KNEW you had to have seen him! Your humor is just like his, and that's an AMAZING compliment, no one is doing that right now. Not sure how Ordinary Things isn't everywhere. You need a talk show each night.
And everyone watched this video, wised up and started casting well thought out, informed votes. We immediately descended into a hellish utopia that we could never escape. The end.
FIne, after rewatching some of your videos I've finally been worn down and will support you with moneythings. Reparations for the London Blitz, don't spend it all in one pub. And stop changing your hair colo(u)r, change scares me!
@@OrdinaryThings Change your hair to this (i.pinimg.com/originals/6e/e8/07/6ee807e0752bb7ade33f98e8cdb311f9.jpg) as long as you're still blond. You'll make everyone you meet smile, I can guarantee you that.
1:06 What's ironic about Margret Thatcher's 'Labour isn't working' campaign is that Theresa May (the conservative pm before Boris Johnson) helped start the 2008 Global Financial Crisis, and when the Conservatives got in power in 2010, the UK had the slowest recovery rate in the world.
IDK, your government seems to be taking all the right steps these days. There's still a lot of progress that needs to be made, but they're making a good go of it.
one of the hardest things of maturing is realizing most people don't. I'm so disillusioned by human nature at this point I'm not even hoping for a better future, just to find some peace for myself and whatever happens happens. the only glimpse of hope I have is for A.I to become humanitys overlord, but I'm not sure I'll be around for that
Docacis If I’m saying that right the guy who is against the death penalty with modern day problems of prison and people starting to realize the extreme Human rights violation of people who are still people I think he would probably win the ads against him would actually be more of a promotion
That’s the best thing about being centrist. I vote for I I like and think will do good. And if there isn’t I vote third party, maybe one day they’ll win, but at least it’s secure and can’t be stolen.
To be honest I am some what surprised that he made an entire video about fallace election winning techniques and not mention Bashar Al-Assad in any way (given that he's been president of Syria for 22 years now)
What are you talking about? He was always political. Did you really think when he came back he'd just go wondering around the country side to spread his word? No, he's gonna adapt to modern times and spread his message as far as he can. I for one embrace Ordinary Things-Jesus
@@chronovore7234 As if Bush didnt start useless wars just so Obama had no choice but to continue them. Then Trump came along and landed more bombs in Afghanistan than any other POS had in their first term. And how can we forget about him drone striking the most popular figure in Iran(which has Nukes btw)possibly sending us into a war during Biden's term.
Trippie Pinkk More bombs, far less troops. Not to mention the Koreas, and making good (ish) on Chinese relations despite starting a trade war with them. Trump was the only outsider we have had in a while- the establishment literally committed treason to reduce his influence and power. (See military generals lying to him about the number of troops brought out of Afghanistan) Other than him, every modern president since Clinton has been on one or the other side of the same, corrupt, elite, anti American, coin. Stop pretending that one side is good but the other is bad. They are in bed with each other.
@@orppranator5230 Both parties are obviously shit, at the end of the day Trump is GOP's latest facade, exactly like Obama was for Ds. Trump's no Independent, has to follow party lines and him being perceived as different does not mean he's not part of the establishment.
Arms companies get federal contracts to make more arms. In return the arms manufacturer donates huge amounts of money into the political funds. And everyone is happy. Dems and Reps both love daddy Warbucks
