I'm new to hobby grade r/c stuff and I gotta say that this was the best and simplest explanation to these settings and what they do that I have found. Thank you very much!
If you fasten a pair of thin steel rulers to your setup board at the front/back of tire position, you can actually adjust toe the correct way - by track width at front/rear of tire.
The description of toe effects seem to be backwards. Front Toe-in causes more understeer, front toe-out causes oversteer. Also, flip your calipers around to measure the length of the steering link much more accurately.
this seems like a great video. i have one question. im running a 1/12 4wd offroad carpet car, its a lc12b1, and the car likes to over rototate in turns. not so much oversteer because this happens when coasting or off throttle. what do i need to change?
The oils we use are actually silicone-based. This vehicle comes with 5,000cst installed, we usually run between 3,000 and 30,000cst, depending on the grip and Surface. www.tlracing.com/Search/Default.aspx?SearchTerm=diff+fluid
