How to win Magic Shot/I-Cube/Cash Cube! Arcade Machine Tips & Tricks!

A while back I figured out a trick for winning the prize machine Magic Shot (or I-Cube as it is also known), and for the past couple of years I have used it to win some pretty cool things. In this video I share the tips and tricks I use to win Magic Shot/I-Cube and hopefully it helps you guys win some pretty awesome stuff too!! I know this same machine comes in other names so keep in mind that these same tricks & tips will apply on these machines no matter what the name.

I won a 400 dollar check at concord mills. It was a key master and now I try every other day. That is the biggest amount of anything that I have won in my life. Not to mention it happened right before Christmas.

Funny enough, it was a Nintendo Switch Console. I did end up getting the console, but it was around the time where consoles were just extremely difficult to obtain.

Welp, just won an Xbox controller on my 3rd try. Did terribly on my 1st shot. On the 2nd one I was within an 1/8th or an inch and it didn't fuck with me so it seems like you were right. 3rd try I nailed it and the victory music played which was... pretty sweet. For the machine at the mall I go to, I’ve been trying to get this prize by calculating the time it takes to get to the 5th prize slot to know exactly when to release the button. Knowing that the machine may tamper by an 1/8 of an inch is really helpful, but I ask if you would be able to provide the exact distance from the start to the 5th prize slot so I can have a better time getting that prize?

Do you know how much it takes to trigger the A-B? My friends and I saw this video and used your advice to get it in the win spot every time but didn't win after $92. We did get $15 dollars free for getting a card through the machine instead if at the counter, does that effect anything?

Just dropped $60 trying to get a $250 gift card. Had no idea these were rigged. Rigging these should be considered fraud. Fucking thieves. At least now I know to watch for that 1/8th inch marker.

@jj: that's what I figured. And of course it has to have an "advantage", or people like "you/us" would just clean out the machine with $9-lol Anywho; so the bottom line: each day u go back to the machine; feed it a buck or two, and see if it's " auto-pushing" ? If not; it's on you....?

This definitely applies to "I-Cube" and "Smart Cube", but supposedly "Magic Shot" is the 100% skill version of the game, similar to how "Prize Locker" is the 100% skill version of Key Master. At least that's how it is marketed on websites selling these games. I think it is just a lot harder. I've played Magic Shot several times and have won only once, but I've never seen it skip like I-Cube. I've also noticed that Magic Shot games tend to have much cheaper prizes in them as opposed to I-Cubes.

Thanks for watching. This is an extremely good question and I am really glad you asked it because you have a really good point. This may be a bit long but I have been hoping someone would mention this. lol. I was under the same impression for a while about it being a 100% skill only machine. I am sure that they can be set to skill ONLY in some settings though like daily monitored arcades and stuff like that. The ones I have had the chance to work with and focus on for the video are the ones that get left alone at store fronts for weeks at a time. I tested them to death to see if they were rigged and I could never see it "slip" "jump" or interfere in anyway but I also realized that I could never get the "S" in that narrow window I describe in the video. I tried several of them and they were all the same. I had lots of people try and it was the same but the hand full of times we did manage to get the "S" in that window, we would win a try or two afterwards. It turns out that it is just extremely slick about how it pushes forward. On Key Master It is really hard to miss it once you have spotted it but with Magic Shot it is so fast about it that it almost does not register that it pushed it forward at all. In time I figured it out and I went about it a little differently then I would normally. On Key Master and the others I would always watch for the key to push up or for the machine to interfere with it and if it did I would stop playing. On magic Shot it became clear that I was not going to spot it as easily so I started simply watching to see if I could get the "S" in that "gap" I described in the video and once I started doing this I started figuring out when I could and couldn't win. Before the video, just to be safe/double check that I was on the right track about it being rigged, I managed to get a hold of the guy that operates the Magic Shot near me. He told me that he would never own/stock a machine that he could not be sure to, at the very least, make his money back on the prizes he puts in it BUT he also told me that anything can be set to not interfere if need be. Magic shot is just a very well done and HARD game I think, and I had to re program what I look for in a rigged machine in order to win it. You are right though the others are easier to spot. Sorry for the book I wrote here. lol Let me know your experiences with these things because they are tough for me lol. Thanks again for watching, man.

Jason Byrd Thanks! And yes these games especially are some of the most difficult to tell whether they are ready to pay or not. It's pretty easy to tell on Key Master like you said but these are a lot harder. By the way, have you played any Barber Cut Lites? Those are my favorite rigged games lol

Honestly they just put one about an hour from me and I have not tried it yet. I live in the boonies and every prize machine is a road trip for me to get to but I am going to go try it out later this week. Any tips for me? I am 100% green on those. I can only learn to win what they decide to stick in a Walmart near by and it looks like that one is next on my list so any tips would be great lol.

Jason Byrd So they're actually rigged by "zone." There are 3 different zones, each containing two prizes (one in front and one in back). Whenever a zone is ready to pay out, you can go for either prize in that zone, so always go for whatever is more expensive. If the prize falls and you hear a loud winning sound effect play, the zone has been reset. However, the prize sensors on these things can be crappy sometimes and if you don't hear any noise that means the machine didn't register a win and it is possible to win the other prize as well! As far as lining up the blade, there is a black belt above it and if you line it up with the bolt above the string you'll be good as far as side to side. After that it just takes some good hand eye coordination to line it up with the string. Barber Cut is very noticeable like Key Master when it's not ready to pay out: it will move past the string after you release the button. Also, another tip: Try to go for heavier prizes. Light prizes take much longer to win even if they're ready to pay because it takes several cuts to the string, whereas a larger prize may only take one or two cuts. This really depends on how weak the blade is. If it's an old machine and the owner hasn't replaced the blade, it may take many, many tries to win even if the prize is relatively heavy. I just won a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses after my 4th try. It was the #1 slot. I almost got it on my 3rd try & I counted the seconds. I did 3 seconds so since I was so close I held it for 4 seconds & actually won. So I suggest counting. Too far, let go sooner, too soon, let go quicker. It didn’t dispense & started flashing & showing error codes where the tries & time display was. Called the 24hr # and it was CLOSED🤦🏽‍♀️ left a vm, called back today & emailed them the video showing the “S” in the #1 slot etc. A few hours later they called after having someone open it & leave my prize at the grocery store.

rigging of machines like this should be illegal, and in fact, i'm pretty sure that some states consider this gambling, and is regulated under the gambling commission, so find out if its considered gambling in your state and turn them bastards in to the commission, they will audit and verify if the machine is rigged, and if it is, they will make it a BIG profit loss for them owners.

Those machines can actually be a scam because even if you win the prize the arcade owner will ask you to hand over the prizes and get out because they won't let you have the prizes so yeah definitely a scam

In a 5 month span I've won a nintendo 2ds 3ds and an amazing fire tablet in the same machine, 2ds took me 3 tries 3ds took me 6 and the tablet took 8 as well. It's at the mohegan sun casino arcade so I'm sure it gets played tons and prizes seem to change often, not sure if it's from wins or just changing them. Also won a gamestop gift card from the giant stacker machine there. Credit wise I didn't spend more credits then the prizes are worth. So games do payout but it's just good timing and luck.
