Props for titling your video normally. The amount of "DO THIS NOW, CHANGE THIS, YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG, MY WHOLE LIFE IS A LIE" clickbait Sparking Zero video titles are doing my head in.
Thank you for explaining and showing the moves. The game is early and a lot of creators do not do a good job of explaining the moves. I've seen videos where people literally just put up text to tell you the name of what they are doing while showing you a demo of the move. Not the kind of thing that is very helpful when your looking for someone to explain a move you may not understand from tutorial.
@@bryceanthonie1288 Uuuuh you'll have to look that up sadly I'd love to tell you but I don't remember off the top of my head cause there's 50 fucking menus
@@nicye I genuinely do not know if this is a glitch or just a PC issue but if you do Training the commands WILL work but I think that's because they decided to turn off assist for it since it isn't needed. But I know outside of it, that shit never let me do revenge counters or dashes.
If you have at least 2 on the skill bar and you hold the perception button you can also deflect beam attacks (like kamehameha, crusher ball, etc). It’s only briefly mentioned in the explanation of super perception.
The only use I’ve seen for the long range vanish (Square + X) is to avoid super attacks. I mainly only use it the second I recover after getting knocked back if the enemy follows up with a super. In most cases guarding is just better for ki conservation.
during the Goku black fight i realized how bad i was at the teleport. I really don't get why it would randomly stop working. dam 3 min in you answered my question. My spirit gauge been to low.
Great vid, A lot of people these days skip anything that sounds like a tutorial but the budikai series has always done a great job at giving you the tips up front.
During combat I would say if you aren’t the best at timing a teleport with the dodge/Gaurd button your best bet is to vanish attack to get out of a tight corner( at the risk of ki tho)
I have been trying to figure out what the name of the teleportation to avoid hits is. Thank you so much! I tried the super training, and couldn't find it. I appreciate you so much for showing how the high speed evasion works, and what it's called.
What do you recommend someone who is absolutly new to Arena Fighters. Where to start? Training mode? Is there a tutorial? Hopp right into Story? Is the Story kinda like a tutorial? I was in training mode and there are soooo many mechanics, with short dash, dragon dash, counters, teleporting and so much more. How do you start and memorize all that? For someone who is only familiar with games like tekken, street fighter and so on, where I learn my frames and punishes and combos and so on, this Game is extremly overwhelming
@@Vyo1983 one thing to note as someone else who plays traditional fighters and arena fighters, you gotta keep in mind that these play differently even when It comes to training. It's like speaking different languages. If you come into German with your English brain then it's gonna be harder to learn. Don't let the tekken or mk experience trip you up here
Super counter is INCREDIBLY useful because you can use it even if you're caught mid combo. The timing is just strict. My cheat sheet is to use - high speed evasion - slow predicable attacks. Will not work on rush attacks -perception - rush attacks and super attacks. Will not work if you're caught mid combo - super counter - use only if you're caught mid combo. The timing is difficult - revenge counter - emergency only, especially good when you're enemy is hitting you from behind as you can't counter them.
Does anyone know how to block attacks from behind if they step dash or teleport off the perfect smash? Or do u just have to Z counter and pray u time it right?
It's not that important at least not yet while the game is new but it is incredibly stylish, if you read the opponent and time a perception right, you can counter the opponents revenge counter. Doing so even gives a little cinematic usually with some trash talk
This is why the tenkaichi games and even raging blast played better than xenoverse. If you get so good at the game too. You can clash fists with perfect timing and a white flash will come out. At least it did in the old games. Countless pvp's with 2 gogeta ssj4's back in the day. God bless to anyone caught in the recent storms 🙏
@@GREEDYBOII hold block. At the end of a rush attack where they step in is the window to block. You can guess up or down. Or, you can vanish out by pressing block at the right time during the end of the rush. You might be able to super counter from the back but im not sure.
You have to really time it right to get a smooth combo or counter in this game, which is really hard to do i probably have to play a lot of hours to get use to the timing in this game but the game is really fun tho🔥
Ngl, i want to advocate for them easing up on the precision of the inputs. Not because I dont think we should have to get better, but online net codes are all over the place and it makes it even more difficult to hit something "perfect".
@@saint5514 i Press triangle again and again and again After the First hit that sends the enemy fly, also if you Press circle at the end of those teleport attacks you can do another kind of teleport attacks that ends the combo while doing a Little bit of extra damage overall

It's crazy how you gotta make a video about defending yourself when players are rewarded for doing battle training. I spent 10 minutes in Battle Training and became a vanishing beast with R1 timing.
Ki Blasts, Teleports, and Vanish Attacks. Holding perception drains ki, and every successful use of it drains more ki. You can bait them with key blasts. You can do a vanish attack with x+square which will teleport you behind them and send them flying. Look up a video of how to fight against Whis, and that pretty much explains how to fight against people who guard and do perception too much.
Bro how do I teleport dash? I was doing it in training mode then hoped into pvp and couldn't, then back into training and couldn't, but like my when when I was pressing X to dash I was able to do the teleport dash, you know when you teleport behind the opponent but instead I was able to dash teleport
Does anyone know how to counter an enemy when they're attacking your back? Every time im hit from behind, i can't dodge, counter, or anything, but if i do it when they're facing me, it's easy to dodge. Is there a different way that training mode isn't teaching us?
@@enriizle mid combo just press R1 (and up i think) and you will teleport behind. Just remember that when you do that the enemy (especially cpu) will do the same, so be careful and teleport until you can actually attack him. Otherwise use square + cross to do a vanishing attack, but only if you are close to the enemy.
Does anyone know how to get around perception. I got into a match with this one guy, and all he did was hold the perception down the whole game and won
people already spamming the same shit over and over in ranks. Shits embarrassing's. Noobs needing the latest characters with the most health to win. AND THEN they will actually try and clown when they almost lost using end of series characters.
I would almost get this game but I feel like I played it 20 years ago watching the gameplay and just like with pokemon I'm done paying for the same game 17 times over 30 years.
@@souloftherain7530 yup thats what I'm trying to understand lol. I get cooked EVERY game because I can't z counter or vanish ever lol but every1 I play does it every attack I do
