I WILL and CAN get a realistic budget and stay on it! I WILL NOT be broke much longer because my mentality is not broke!!! YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE!!! No exceptions
@@joeemmanuel5208 I started trading in bitcoin months ago my first profits I withdrew was $21,580. My trader Mr Johnson really changed my life and my thinking.
Yes, let's change our mindset from surviving to thriving. The bible says "As a man thinketh, so is he."-Proverbs 23:7 God wants us to live a life, and live it abundantly! But first thing's first YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE that ALL things are possible with God! Thanks for sharing this Anthony!
People see the 300 dollar rent and freak out like it's impossible. We're uncomfortable admitting that we're too proud to live on less than we make. In other words, if you're income is that low, you have to be willing to rent a room in someone else's house. That will save you if utilities are included. It's an uncomfortable situation but that will definitely motivate you to pick up a trade or find additional income to build your way out of the rented room and into your own apartment or house.
Good Advice. However I want caution doing deliveries. I worked for shipt & it wasn't all that it was cracked up to be. I was hustling over county lines & drove my 3yr old car into the ground. My emergency fund was depleted on repairs. Although I was grateful to have the resources but the cost of gas, maintenance exceeded the benefits. This is just my story but hopefully you will have a better experience.
Facts same thing happened to me! I actually got my car repaired costing me almost $2000 and then it broke down again within 2 weeks, so I had to end up investing in a new car. So I definitely agree don't let those jobs that require you to use your car be your main source of income because the money do look good but the amount of miles and pressure you're putting on your car isn't worth it.
Budgeting is one of my favorite things to do. I spent an hour on it last night figuring out the most I could invest of my stimulus check. Even been starting to apply budgeting to calories to lose some weight. Best thing for low income budgeting, go get more money. Food delivery in most cities earns between $20 and $30 an hour (I got $33/hr yesterday). Walmart usually pays $15 an hour. Doing a side hustle can help you make a few extra hundred a year.
A budget is going to give you an action plan and a clear picture of where your money is ending up each month. Budgeting will help you achieve the goals you’re working toward-whether that’s getting out of debt, saving for retirement, or just trying to keep your grocery bill from getting out of hand.
Create a realistic budget. Be careful with credit 💳 card debts. Live with in your means. Live in home 🏡 you can truly afford. Try to avoid a monthly car 🚗 payment. Good luck.
New to the Channel. Love your energy! "win with your money and take control of your life." This is such GREAT advice, especially during these times. We were furloughed causing us to dive deep into our finances and win with the money we had saved. Loved hearing your perspective.
Right! Like this guy, it's a year going forward... how are you doing? Are you invested in crypto? Take a look at Shiba inu... or study other new projects... serious ability to make money if you get it new or on the dip..
I've never understood why phone bills are so expensive in the US. In England, you can get unlimited texts, calls, and around 10-15GB of data for around the equivalent of 15-20 dollars a month.
everything is more expensive in the US. the world really want folks to struggle and rely on governmental benefits and handouts. They will tax you and raise cost to put into the poor house
Yes, when Americans speak about mobile phone bills in the 100s a part of me dies. Even here (uk) when somebody says they pay more than £30 for a contract I'm so confused.
@@preciousx2459 I honestly don't understand what people are paying for rspecially during lockdown when you used home wifi so you didn't need that much data
Here's a tip. If they pay their car insurance premium in full for 6 months, they get a decent discount. That's what I did. Also, someone with low income shouldn't be buying clothes every month. You can only wear one outfit at a time.
In AZ a 1 bedroom apartment is about 1300-1600 a month. Its insane. Apartments were supposed to be a cheaper option. Not anymore. They make it impossible to live sometimes.
@@NerdyGal_https there are trailers and there are TRAILERS. I've worked many years as a technician and you can't pay me enough to live in the conditions I've seen people do, on the other hand if you woke up in some trailers you'd be looking around for the celebrity who owns this.
Hi Anthony. I'm 28 years old and just left a job of four years that had no work life balance at all. I took a pay cut, but this new job that I have now actually allows me to work to live rather than live to work. What are your thoughts on work life balance and money?
One of my favorite videos Anthony! It’s so important for people to understand that most millionaires don’t start off as millionaires! You don’t have to live debt.
I love the idea...but if you are making $1200 a month you absolutely cannot afford to give 10% of your income. Give your time instead, or donate some items, go work in a soup kitchen for the weekend, give some time to the pet shelter, volunteer, give blood, etc. $120 at that income level is needed for bills and putting food on the table. I wish these guys would encourage donating time, which is often much more valuable of an experience than just writing a check to donate. Give/donate your time and get an experience that will teach you some lessons. Also a tip on Roth IRA they never mention. You can put in $100 a month but you won't be able to get into most funds until you have a lump sum of anywhere from $1000-5000+. Something to consider before you plan your portfolio. A bit easier to get into long term ETFs to build your portfolio at the start.
For those of you who think 300 dollars per month is unrealistic for rent, I want you to know it is possible if you are single without kids. I have lived in a small basement suite with three other people before and paid less than that. You may have to make some sacrifices and sell a lot of your things, but renting a single room in a house or sharing a room with a friend can cut down on rent significantly. I lived on $800 per month before and did not go into debt. It can absolutely be done.
I was following everything until he said give more money than I will put in my savings. I agree to give, but if you are already struggling why would you give more than you will “Save” for your own survival 🤔🤔🤔
He's speaking based on bible principles. 10% tithe/offering, you can still pay yourself 9 or 10%. I'm a believer that those principles work. I've always given my tithe and offering and NEVER been without. Food, water, shelter, clothing, have 3 children, bought a brand new home, new car(mistake!, should have never bought!).. I'm testifying that God will give you above and beyond Anything your savings can ever do for you. Periodttt! God bless 😘
I'm so with you on that, some of those numbers are abit bogus.... predominantly 300 on rent, 15 on subscriptions(cable & gym would be double or triple that as an example)
@@kevinu6004 Unless you live out in the middle of nowhere no one NEEDS cable. There are also plenty of free and low-cost work out options (local parks & recreation, YMCA/YWCA, RU-vid has TONS of different options, some parks have built in exercise equipment, local libraries have DVD and Blu-ray options, work out with a friend that has equipment, buy your own equipment, etc.)
@@TheTiayahi I hear you, some great suggested options there.... but its usually a small percentage of the population who are as creative, wholesome & scrimpy with their health & fitness. Internet is a NEED for the most part wherever you live; no RU-vid for instance
@@diamonddx95 this all depends on the type of social security you are receiving. SSI has asset rules, if you aren't at full retirement age to get social security benefits then you are facing income rules. but you may want to look into investing for dividend income if you have enough disposable income to invest enough to receive decent dividends and maybe do it in a taxable individual investment acct. And yes the income from the dividends and selling of stocks is taxable in the year its received/done
Subscriptions are funny. Dawned on me a year ago that I can only watch one at a time! So I just chop and change them constantly. There’s no charge for changing them every month and sometimes you get a good deal.
Thank you for stressing out the "rental/mortgage percentage rate"... 25% or less than your take-home pay, and the fact that landlords and real estate agents be trying to rid us off our money, but we've got to allocate smarter! I really appreciate this key insight... you would never hear this elsewhere. Thanks once again!
We (hubby & I) were very blessed to find a home rental...single family home....at 750/mo (mostly bc the house we wanted wasnt ready so they had to give this one in our budget) BUT now 6years later the rent is 945/mo. STILL Thank you Jesus!! Folks paying way higher than that for apartments.
time to buy a home if you haven't already. The rent prices are insanely increasing. Just make sure you can place 1.25% of home value in a saving acct to help pay for any repairs necessary. example: 180k home, you need to be able to put 188 dollars a month in a savings acct to pay for repairs needed. good luck
Mr Anthony Oneal, how should I approach the baby steps?, I live in Bolivia where the average annual income is 7000$. I am currently on baby step 3, baby step 4 seems very confusing as i have to pay lots and lots of commissions to invest in the stock market from here. I must admit I am a bit discourage by the speed I'm doing this, however Im also 100% sure i will change my family tree forever and be able to give significantly. I will live like no one else so later i can live and GIVE like no one else. Intentionality is key.
I like the fact you did this segment on budgeting on a low income. I would like for you to do a budget for single parents on a low income and who receive assistance. Because single parents cannot always work a part time job or going back to school at the moment is not suitable because the parent will need chilcare to attend school and the parent already probably have chilcare or school just go to work. I know people making about 1600 hundred a month and paying more then 300 a month for rent because that is not possible unless you have a roommate or unless someone going to allow you to live with them for 300 a month. Other then that I like this segment very much. Thanks for the info. I would love for you to have single parents on the show talking about how they budget and saving.
I would love to hear his thoughts on how to approach this on a tip based income...as a bartender I rely on tips for my income but tips/gratuity is not guaranteed at my job... I am looking for a second job but in the meantime I am living off of $30-$40 a week...
what is the minimum that you have recieved in tips (above zero obviously). basically count on that amount coming and do a budget based on the lowest amount. any amount over that you can send to debt payoff. example: count in 120 from tips and add to your regular paycheck for the month and create a budget on that. (word of caution, if you want to really succeed, dont say thats not enough to pay for everything. On paper make it enough because if you can do that then you will instantly have extra money the moment you have more money than whats on paper, which is what you are trying to accomplish). hope this helps and good luck
Consistency and determination dnt accept your lower income educate yourself take up a trade start a side job say yes to that over time and invest that extra money also stop blowing money on stupid things like cars and clothes.
I could tell you were a pastor. The way you speak with such confidence and conviction, I have only really seen one other place. Great combination, financial literacy as well as trustworthy wisdom I am grateful to have found your channel!! Keep it up & God Bless.
17:10 - After running the numbers through a TI-83 TVM Solver, 30 years of $100 monthly savings at 8% is $149035.9449 (little under 150k), and 40 years of $100 monthly savings at 12% is $1176477.251 (under 1.2M). Neither case comes close to $2000000. (533 months at 12%, or 737.5 months at 8%) While neither sum is particularly small (the point?), the claim is greatly exaggerated. (hyperbole?)
@@JourneyToAUnknownPlace I believe the numbers ARE with compound interest. With 8% return per annum, you will get only about $150k with $100 savings per mth. To get close to $2mil, you will need a returns of close to 20% per annum. That's not going to be easy to achieve.
In Canada right now house prices are at an all time high, just recently a house sold 620k over asking price. In vancouver you cant even get a shack for under a million dollars, its tough makes me wanna move to states sometimes ahah
You will never achieve more than your highest aspirations. If you don't have the mindset that you will be unstoppable in pursuit of your goal, you've already lost. Keep hustling!
Again, thanks for everything! As I'm sitting up late tonight writing out my budget, it just hit me one thing you didn't mention earlier today....how was the date?! See, I really look at all your videos, so I catch & remember everything! Prayerfully, all went well brother! Cheering for ya in every area just like I'm cheering for myself! Blessings
Love you man 💕 you make me laugh on serious topics with the way you dramatise your message (can’t think of the right word but you are very expressive and great to watch/listen to) and your message adds a LOT of value to my life! God bless you x
Rent 25% of take home WHOOOO that would nICE! I'm in Beautiful British Columbia as a low income currently at 60% of my income living in a 2 BDRM basement ! I am desperately looking for more income + how to move to somewhere more affordable! When I budget well I can cover all my things (2 daughters and myself) and able to save $100/month (give or take). Is HARD!
@Minimalist Mom In Progress yea I tried it. I don’t like it. I can’t use that at the moment. There is also shaving /waxing, that is apart of my monthly expenses. I HAVE to do it! It is a bill! Lol
Might have to be resourceful and find some other alternatives. I'm "feminine", all woman, and hygienic, but I can't relate to that monthly cost :/ If that's not an area you want to cut back in, disregard message lol.
I agree to what you are saying. In the mind we create our personal realities. In this pandemic, the environment has accelerated our growth and progress of self development and to show us that we need to chase or passions more and serve. Have a clear vision on what you want and know that money follows vision and good mgt.
This is good stuff. I’ve increased my income greatly but I have so much debt and sometimes it feels like it’ll never get better. But you’re so right it’s my mindset and I need a BUDGET!! 😩😩
I've been there but let me tell you, you CAN pay off your debt! Even if you start off with as little as $1, (which is what I did and immediately got a raise at my job that same week), just start! I started out with 44k of student loan debt in February of 2020 and I've gotten it down to 21k!!! as of today!😀 It can be done! You CAN do it! God is for us! Just start. God bless you.
I work for Postmates...Give great service. Even bought a food warmer and have ice chest. They tip $0,01 !nd $0.10 some times and zero 30% of the times. I'd live getting $5 just to cover cost of gas to drive to restaurant.(that is not covered at all).
Tithing: the church should be giving to who this who need it, not the other way around. I'm not against tithing/donations (esp since a lot of churches in black communities at the very least provide one free home cooked meal on Sundays), but it should be proportional to your income instead of 10% for everyone.
Love 💓 this episode/podcast and your unique way of saying things 💪🙏 I saw you in Mandissa videos talking about relationships and you sounded like Black Dave Ramsey 😃😂😍
I like how you acknowledge that $300 for rent is impossible. And you also acknowledge that $1200 is a realistic amount that people bring home a month. This exposes the fact that the average person can NOT do the budget you guys recommend. It’s Impossible. And I know what your gonna say. Side job/ Side huddle right? Well that means the take home pay isn’t $1200. Which we already said it is.
