Here’s what I usually do. Before I set the date… first, I will set the time to be outside of the “danger zone” and then I will proceed to set the date, probably change it to one day before. Finally I will go back to wind the crown to set the time accordingly, with the date changed to today’s date.
As far as I know, it is not possible to overwind the watch, as there is a mechanism to stop winding the mainspring once it is fully winded up… if your watch crown feels kinda stuck or blocked… I strongly suggest you to bring your hublot back to your AD for checking 😊
