you forgot to mentioned another main important data deletion..And that is the remote wireless garage opener. Especially one when u sell the car one usually forgets to delete the garage door opener. I guess it could be due to its location? You dont want the new seller to drive by your house and open the garage door....eeeks PS: to delete the remote garage (if equipped) is to hold 1st and last button together for good couple of seconds. (atleast thats how it is on lexus and volvos i havw owned)
great video, thanks, are insurance OBD2 port trackers worth the savings for safe drivers who's data is already compromised due to EquidFax data. breach, and all the other major data breach we hear kn the news?
I bought a used 2016 Honda Civic a few months ago and the previous owner left his home and work destinations along with a few of his other points of interest in his navigation system.
I bought a used Toyota minivan and the previous owner didn't take his sd card from the infotainment screen, it has his families pictures and some japanese songs (cause it's a JDM it came straight from japan).
I also set my home location on the GPS not to my actual house. But to a location a block or so from my actual house. So that way, if a thief steals your car, the thief won't know your address and come back for a second helping. And besides, if you're a few miles from your house, chances are, you'll know how to get back home. But then again, if a thief looks hard enough, they probably could find your insurance ID card.
Hmm. Am I the only one to have thought of this? Lots of cars have self-driving tech _and_ hardwired network connections now. Could there be a more perfect assassination device? This is why I will never get in a car with self-driving if the US government is even slightly annoyed with me.
I don’t know if that would be true. In my state, insurance companies are heavily regulated and don’t get to make their own rates arbitrarily. However, your state or experiences may vary.
@@TheBlueDogMan Yes. by and large they have to get approval to raise most rates.' But we have seen what happens if they dont' get their way - they pick up their ball and leave.
Anywhere there's a magnet, they can hear you, you'll never get away from the audible stalking, but you CAN eliminate their controlling features from your life by simply living old school (90'back vehicle, land line phones instead of smart phones,Nintendo instead of Playstation). I understand their security side of it but I refuse to trade my security for their insecurities, I'm also a person who's rear brakes locked like a momentary keyboard button push randomly one time in 5 years at a famous intersection known for beaching cars like whales on concrete center divider, I believe newer cars can receive remote commands from lord knows who accessing driving controls, I could spend the rest of my life pursuing proof that driving controls on servo operated vehicles are remotely hackable or I can keep it simple and stick to old cars, I'll keep it simple...also "he died on impact, case closed" good luck on getting a real investigation...ask them for schematics lol
LOL! I know, in this Dystopian Nightmare on planet earth, yes they are spying on us while watching you Tube. You Tube spies on everyone. If you have a smart television, same thing, it is spying on you. Your smart refrigerator is spying on you. It is called Revelation Bible prophesy being fulfilled in your life time. Get Jesus, read the Bible.
my car is a car , i drive it , I dont require these bs distractions that i believe are in fact illegal anyway . Using your phone whilst driving is illegal? isnt it? so vehicle manufacturers and design rule engineers are technichally selling you an illegal product!
Do you own a smart television? A smart refrigerator? A SMART house? LOL you can't run or hide, they are everywhere. It is called The Beast system prophesied in Revelations in the Bible. Only those in Jesus Christ will escape and live in heaven forever. Get Jesus. Get a Bible. Not a woke Bible either.
seriously aside from the garage door opener and having your home address in the nav history anyone seriously that concerned with the data their car is collecting likely needs either to visit a psychiatrist or lead a more lawful life.
I mean if my car knew I was about to wreck why tf didn’t it alert me ? Otherwise how else did it know to suddenly start recording 5 sec in advance?? 🤔
my car has a disclosure right in front of owner's manual saying it constantly tracks how you are driving speed brakes and steering and sends that info back to Toyota for analysis and will provide it to the police on request.
