my only real question is, can this stuff be done to by pass the need for a special wire harness needed on a cobalt ss/sc for the stock amp? or really any vehicle that requires that special harness?
Have you figured out how to answer/make calls through the tablet as well as text? I can't figure this aspect out, but everything else is straight forward.
Hi, Thank you for the guide. I am actually going to do this to my car as it's cheaper than buying a double din. Question, what is that antenna adapter, where can you buy it, I been stuck on that. I have found a dab usb reciever but they call come with an antenna so need the adapter to connect to my car.
Have look for your car's audio wiring diagram on google. There are 2 types of steering control, resistive and digital. Resistive has 2 wires and digital has 1. If you have resistive, you can check it by putting a multi metre across the 2 wires and measuring the resistance change as you press buttons on the steering wheel.
***** If you want to use a USB radio receiver like the one I have, you will need to connect it to an antenna. I bought an adaptor to connect it to the existing car aerial.
