Thank you for video. A question now. How do you ensure your motor runs the same direction in delta as it did in star,assuming you have no motor winding wire markings. I know how to separate each individual winding using a multi-meter but this doesn't guarantee the same direction of rotation when changeover from Star to delta happens

Good job, could do without the music though.Well done with the transition from Star to delta: to reduce the spike on the transition (and there is one) the phase connected to the red phase has to end up in delta connected to the blue phase. (Reference Sprecher and Schuh technical data so long ago).

Fantastic video. Presentation is just too good. But there is an issue I guess at 1:37. Are we not supposed to connect the NC terminals of ONE contactor in series with the A1 of the OTHER contactor through timer contacts. Here NC of K2 is connected back to A1 of K2. Same with K3. May be I'm wrong. But please check.

thank you you for this video but I have a question , at contactor k3 or k2 the current reach the coil A1 and A2 through NC of the contactor and when the coil energized the points NC become open. how is the coil of the contactor still work? from where the current flows to the coil? I appreciate your effort

(It doesn't... It's a bad video) The control out of the NC on K2 is supposed to go to the NC on T1 then to A1 (coil) on K3 and same with the other control.

What is the timer setting? Some people say it takes about ten seconds But the principle is to let the motor speed get closer to the rated speed and set timer on this . I have a 160 kW motor that drives a compressor and never gets close to rated speed in the star at ten seconds, and the current reach to 450 amps and it burns 315 amps fuses( fuses are specific for motor) what should I do?

This will be a challenge because there will be a lot of wiring and the drawing might be a bit messy but I will think about it.

No, it wouldn't. K1 connect U1,V1, W1 windings to the power supply in booth star or delta arrangement.

K3 and K2 can be in at the same time. if 1 of the 2 wears and stiks the othes cant sens it and blow stuff up. the 22 on K2 needs to feed T1.1 instead of T1.3 and vise versa. also a fisical lock out /exluder may save your bacon to.

hi its great and useful. but i think their is two mistake on the control circuit(how we can keep the K2 running until the timer finishing time we need some latching otherwise the timer it Should be have Source of voltage

K2 is only energized in delta connection. When T1 finish counting it close contact 3 and 4 energizing K2 (delta).

ayad taha it has 1 x NO and 1 x NC.1,2 it is just terminal numbers for NC contact.

Great effort, but you have done a wrong. interchange the coil activation wire of K2 & K3 NC.

Nothing will happen if motor is already running in delta. When starting and the time switching between star and delta is too short it wil cause motor protection switch (overload ) to trip.

I would use DILM40 for K1,K2,K3 when power supply is 3x400V.

Kees Ben k3 is only for star connection.It does not need any latching because it is feed via NC contact of T1.When T1 finish counting it will open contact and K3 will be deenergized because we do not need star connection any more.

isah ibrahim contactor K1 provides power to the circuit, K2 connect motor winding in to delta, K3 connect motor winding into star.

3 Phase motors don't use the Neutral/Common blue wire. Blue Wire is "return" wire of sorts. You only need L1 = Brown L2 = Black L3 = Gray, Earth = Yellow/Green! To make it do turn in reverse, change and of the L1-L3 like L1-L2-L3 = Left, L1-L3-L2 = Right Hope that did help you some

the first circuit is control circuit used to turn on and off the contractors, the second circuit is main load circuit. you can see lines in the first circuit map on the dots of white panel, and lines in the second circuit map on the dots of gray panel. you have to see two circuits as a whole. control and the controlled

The source of K3 was came from itself NC connection. if the K3 was activated itsgoing to kill itself.. how os that possible?? same as K2.. THE WIRING IS REALLY WIERD

The relays, On/Off switch, control circuit, and motor windings are incomplete. No way these circuit diagrams can control the STAR - DELTA starter control of the motor.

@@AboutElectricity The control circuit is missing. The relays and the motor windings connection are incomplete. The STAR-DELTA windings connection with the relays are incomplete. This video does not show a functionable STAR-DELTA motor windings configuration. Furthermore, the relays and the control system can be replaced by a single STAR-DELTA control circuit already selling in the motor control circuit. This is a common 3 phases motor start and run control system with the STAR-DELTA control of the motor windings.
