Nathan Watt I was a Mormon my whole life, and it was extremely hard to just give up everything I ever knew to become a Christian. I refused to believe that my whole perception, and knowledge of God was false. I was torn apart with my beliefs. It took my later wife and the teachings of pastor chuck, actually reading the Bible to see and hear that I was wrong. It hurt so bad, but in turn I found God! I have faith your family will see they are wrong. If I could make the switch so can your family. Baptism for the Dead is taught in the bible! (Apostle Paul) amongst others. Jesus told us to "obey the commandments" and it would be "well with them" that did (So I guess it depends how you define works). Even the devils know who Jesus is (but they do not)! Works are just doing what Jesus asked us to do (your best efforts). His atonement handles all the rest! (but it doesnt give everyone a free ride, like some people think). We have to use our "agency" (otherwise Gods mercy and justice would be robbed).

@@themotorcycleguy5980 Your scriptures are distorted. Yes it is true that there will be a partial judgement when we die. But, the finale judgment does not come until after the 1000 year reign. This is made pretty clear in Revelations chapter 20. Also Peter makes it pretty clear that the gospel is preached unto those that are dead. I Peter 4:6 John 5:25 The bible can not say it more plain and yet so many people that call themselves Christian are so determined to want to undermine the true loving and merciful nature of our Father in Heaven.

The act of polygamy was discontinued long ago, but if your wife dies and you get remarried, you can also be sealed to that wife as well.

(Preexistence + A Spirit created by the Father of Spirits. How else would he be in Heaven?). It should be noted that Satan had to be cast out of Heaven before Adam & Eve could have sinned which means that Satan fell sometime after the Earth was created. I've recently been meeting up with Missionaries and I've been really surprised that they don't have much knowledge on the bible and said they hadn't been exposed much to the bible. @@SamTipton You have to take that verse in context. Jesus is explaining to Nicodemus that you have to be born of the spirit to enter the kingdom of heaven. So when he says the quote you mentioned, Jesus is answering the question Nicodemus asked, "How can a man be born again when he is old? He cannot enter his mother's womb a second time and be born, can he?" So Jesus clarifies... it makes sense when you emphasize the word AND in Jesus' answer... "unless one is born of water AND spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. Jesus was emphasizing a spiritual birth in addition to physical birth. Jesus was not talking about baptism.

@@BeachBumZero I've heard this line of thinking before unfortunately I think you're trying too hard to remove water baptism from Jesus' teachings. He is clarifying his statement that "You must be born again". By showing what is involved. In Romans 6, Paul reveals baptism as a spiritual death, burial, and resurrection to a new life (a birth) makes this line of reasoning in John 3 congruent.

Although it is part of the ritual that a husband will pull the wife through the veil this does not mean that the husband has the power to prevent a woman from getting through into God's kingdom. God will be the one that ultimately decides where the woman goes as for all of us. And it will be based on her choices not the husbands. God is not going to hold back one of his precious daughters just because the husband didn't want to pull her through. The only men that will even be assigned to this task anyway would be the ones that are completely made perfect in Christ. And no righteous man would ever go against Christ's will anyway. 2nd The secret temple rituals. Jesus said give not that which is holy unto the dogs neither cast your pearls before swine. If you are disgusted with us for shutting people out of our temples than you must also be disgusted with Ezekiel as well. 3rd You get your own planet It is true that we do believe we will be kings over our own kingdom and even create spiritual children of our own. But, the details of how that all works has never been revealed and it never actually says that it will be our own planet. Some LDS leaders have speculated that it would be our own planet but it has never been stated in scripture cannon. Jesus himself said that he that overcometh will he grant to sit with him in his throne even as he Christ overcame and is set down with his Father in his throne. Rev 3:21 And he even specifically stated to his apostles that he would appoint a kingdom unto them even as his Father appointed a kingdom unto him. Luke 22:29 However it has never been stated exactly what the scope of that kingdom will be. A city on the same planet that Christ will live on or a planet or an entire universe. Much of that is left open for speculation. 4th There is no hell Actually we do believe hell. Both the BoM and the Doctrine and Covenants speak of hell. We just have a different and much more loving and merciful view of what hell is. The real absurdity however is people who actually believe that hell is God literally torturing people for eternity. Such a doctrine just undermines Gods true loving nature. 5th Living Prophets Okay to be fair you did get this one right. We do believe this one. But than again why shouldn't we? Amos 3:7 Surely the lord God will do nothing but reveal his secrets unto his servants the prophets. Christ church was built upon a foundation of Apostles and Prophets Ephesians 2:20 And will continue to do so UNTIL WE ALL come to the unity of the faith. Ephesians 4:11-13 God never did away with Prophets and apostles. Only man did. 6th Jesus and Satin our brothers. I would like to know where in our cannon it actually says this. The bible says God walked with Adam in the cool of the day..which means hell wont have any coolness..it will be very hot. The bible calls it a lake of fire. Its been said that "the gates of hell..are locked on the inside". Think about that. John 14:6~ “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me". Notice He said nothing about Joseph Smith. Mormonism is a nice way of life..period..but never confuse that nice way of life with the WAY to heaven. The cross ✝ is offensive to those perishing. There's nothing "nice" about the cross. Trust in Jesus alone..and tell Joe Smith goodbye. If you can't or won't do that then separation from God is imminent. Our discussion is over. Take care.

ME: In case you didn't realize my purpose of the comment was to simply point out your falsehoods about what we believe. I can't help but think that this was just an attempt to turn the attention away from the fact that you just told a lot of false hoods. In fact that is the first thing I will thank him for when I say my prayers. And it is not true to say Mormonism doesn't speak of the grace of Christ and what he did. In fact the very last commandment in the Book of Mormon speaks of the grace of Christ. However the word grace is nowhere to be found in either one of the first two gospels written by Mathew and Mark. And I am pretty sure there are a lot more than 602 words in those books. Luke makes mention of the word grace only once. But that was speaking of the grace of God being on Jesus not pertaining to the grace of the cross. John does a good job in the first chapter but never makes a single mention of the word after that. And two out of the 3 epistles that he wrote he never mentions the word grace. And when it comes to the 4 Gospels their entire books was written about the life of Jesus Christ. Are you going to shame them with your silly logic as well? Also I would like to mention that the name JESUS CHRIST is written on every single one of our churches. However whenever I see churches of other Christian faiths I only seldom see the name Jesus on their church buildings. So I guess if I decided to use your logic I could say this makes us more Christian than them. YOU: Hell is not some kind of divine torture chamber. All lost people get hung up on what "Hell" is; Hell is separation from God. Period. I totally agree with this. That is exactly what I was trying to say. But than again by this definition we do believe in hell because we do believe that people will be separated from God forever if they don't choose to worship him. But, Jesus also said that we should listen to and accept his prophets. And God has already told be that Joseph Smith is his prophet of the restoration. So it would be a violation to Jesus's commandment if I did tell him goodbye.

Historical evidence has didn't ring to me but I was wanting to place Jesus God and the Holy Spirit above the church whom they taught about. The only motivation I ever got from the spirit was listen to him the would-be prophet. I never got confirmation from the spirit 2 go to the temple and do Temple work. I only got convictions about talking to people about Jesus and how we should follow his examples and sayings

@@fayelewis5476 Put that in context. The Pharisees were false religious teachers. To rightly divide ( rightly interpret) Scripture always use the proper context. It's called hermeneutics. The "Jesus" of Mormonism isn't the same Jesus as found in Scripture. You use some of the same words as Christians do......but the meaning is very different.
