ABSOLUTELY DARLING! I have a GIANT roll of brown butcher paper and wooden spools of thread/twine (some are candy cane striped) and I love to wrap gifts using these elements! I am going to try the pleated one! THAT is likely going to be my NEW favorite! (Brown paper packages tied up with string......lalalalalalalalala) happy face!

I just spent most of the morning wrapping gifts today. I wish I had seen this sooner. I had a couple gifts that were too large for the paper to fit around and had never heard to turn it diagonally. I'll be sure to remember that tip. But I do love the pleated wrap the most and then making the bows out of the scrap paper. Sometime I don't have a color of bow that matches my paper. I do remember when I was young that my momma had a bowmaker thing that I wish was still on the market. I was probably younger than 10 and could make bows with it. It had a pushpin or tack in the middle of this plastic stand. You looped the ribbon around, making smaller loops each time. We had is several years and then couldn't find the refill parts for it. But it was fun. Thanks for the tips! HUGS~Donna

I think the one where the diagonals fit relies on the first fold. The paper has to cover all 4 corners, and you bring up the sides at a 90 degree corner. Otherwise, it may not meet, and it looks a bit messy because they don’t meet at the 90 degrees. Thank you fir these awesome ideas. They are beautiful!

the first technique would work well for a wedding gift or any other party gifts where you want your card to stay with your gift, the card could be tucked in, taped and a little greenery added (for future gatherings …).
