How to Wrap Interior Trim // EASY DIY!

Today I'll be showing you the second part of wrapping your interior trim; the actual wrapping part. This is an easy DIY project that almost anyone can do with little to no tools! I highly recommend doing this if you don't like your interior and you want to make it stand out from the others. Thanks for watching and please subscribe!

For everyone doing this, make sure you keep the carbon fiber pattern going in the same direction for the different panels. Otherwise, it might look a little strange.

The OEM carbon pattern is from left bottom to right upper. I did all the trim this way. You need to be aware that the roll of wrap is large enough to be able wrap everything with this proper and same pattern orientation.

Started on my E90 last weekend and it's looking great. One small issue I became aware of and is evident in this video and others is the direction of the lines on the wrap. It would be more visually pleasing if they all went in the same direction. Compare the direction on the dash and the central console. It's easy to overlook. I almost did

I just did my E39 Motorsport to change it from Wood to the same Semi Matt Carbon Fiber that you did and it came out awesome...one thing that you may want to mention is that it is very important to get the direction of the grain in this particular wrap going the same way...I had to redo one piece because of that...I am just about to put a new cover on the steering wheel and will wrap the lower part of the wheel at the same time...Nice videos, well spoken and very easy to follow...

Yeah maybe a 328 or 330. I don't really want the xDrive so that might make it a bit difficult to find especially in Mass.

I was the same way! To be honest xDrive really isn't necessary, even here in New England. All you need is a good set of snow tires and common sense. Also xDrive is more expensive to maintain and there is more power loss through the drivetrain.

im pretty new to this stuff and it took me a couple of hours to do the actual wrapping, after you do the first one it goes by pretty quick, also i went to a junk yard to take off the trim parts and it helped and sped up doing it on my actual car, all in all probably a days work, and the wrap i got on ebay, you can even buy a small sample size before u commit

Thanks man! Go for it! Just go slow, take your time, and only apply heat when you need to. The material is quite forgiving.

Could you do a video just like that but instead of doing time-lapse when you get to the corners show us how you do it slowly because I think a lot of people especially me have problems with those 90-degree three-sided type corners that you get on the dashboards a lot of times, great video

i currently have the brushed aluminum trim that I am thinking of wrapping. if there are any nicks or imperfections in the trim would they have to be filled in prior to wrapping or would the wrap mask those imperfections.

Great video as always! BTW, I am noticing that the GA6165 is sticking out a lot. It did the same on mine, but I found out that if you file down two metal piceses that is between the player and AC unit you get it a little better in. Don't have a picture to show you what I mean.

It doesn't work well on the Hexagon style aluminium trim, it still shows the hexagon shape beneath the vinyl.

mine was slightly cracked, i ended up gettin a used trim from a junk yard and it helped me gained the experience to take off the trim without fear of breaking something more important and also wrap the trim without time pressure
