Comeback to this video whenever you want to follow my formula for writing a blog. Did you find some tips you might have been forgetting when writing? If so what were they?
"When you link up to other people, it flatters them. People love getting back-links, because when you link out to someone, it drives in more traffic" So true, you linked to one of my sites in one of your posts and it totally made my day. :) I was flattered and I bragged about it on social media. I'm sure you got a few hundred visitors from me bragging.
Hi Neil. These tips are great. They make for a fantastic checklist before actually publishing. With that said, I would not necessarily follow them in the order you presented them. I usually start with a working title. Tip 1: I don't do a deep dive for a title until after the content is near final form. Tips 2 & 5: I write my introduction and conclusion after my first draft of the content. As an instructional writer, I use the formula "tell them what you're going to tell them; tell them; tell them what you told them." Once I know what I am going to "tell them," I write the intro (what I'm going to tell them) and conclusion (what I told them.) I love ending the conclusion with a question. It is a great way to help people step into action. Tip 3: Exactly! Tips 4 & 6: Fantastic idea. Will definitely incorporate. Thank you mkw
2:30 This is just too accurate af I got hooked by your thumbnail + title, I searched about "How to make a blog" i got your vids on the top but i could still scroll and click other vids that looks more interesting ngl
Neil, I'm blinded by the brilliance of simply labeling my CONCLUSION. You outed me, I always scroll to the conclusion before deciding to commit to reading the whole post. It never occurred to me that I'm not the only one doing that. So, just like making site navigation easy so visitors can find what they're interested in quickly---make the content structure work to induce a reader by highlighting the content's value in my conclusion and letting their FOMO propel them back into the rest of the post. I've also found that writing a solid conclusion automatically points out any weak areas of a post. Thanks Neil!
That moment you realize you've learned more from 7 RU-vid videos about marketing than you did in about 40% of your college classes... Dedicated to marketing...
@@neilpatel & @jtasgl88 - that is great, it is also sad when you realize you wasted all that time and money in classes studying things you are not using.
I am about to write my first blog and have and been scouring around to find specific tips. Thank you for breaking down in such a way that any beginner can understand. I am a bit nervous about putting it together. Do you have any other videos that relate to this topic that you feel would give me a little more confidence?

Dear Neil, Your video gave me a clear path towards writing blog. I generally write in form of emails to my colleagues and they asked me to start writing a blog and I didn't know how to start. I got a fair idea and will start now. The best tips which I received from your video are importance of 'title' and 'conclusion'. Thank you,
Thank you so much neil you've convinced me to start a blog, you make it sound so easy, i've wanted to start one for a long time now but i did not know how to start. Thank you so much
I had a blog years ago. It was soley about Coney Island (Kinetic Carnival). Won some awards for hyperbole reporting. Loved it. And I miss those blogging days in Brooklyn.

Hey Neil, thanks for this video. Can you recommend where I can look to find good, credible sources to find for my blog content? Where should I look for studies etc.? Thank you
Hello Neil Patel, I'm new to blogging, writing is a passion of mine and I love giving words of encouragement, little snippets is what I call them, to boost ppls emotions, and get their life pumping. I would like your advice. looking forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you, Cassie
I enjoyed your informative video. I have been told I'm a excellent writer, and I know how to express myself, but yet I'm scared of failure. I was recently told from a friend to think I'm writing to a audience of one instead of thinking about the massive of readers I would love to gain.
Thank you soo much for these great tips. I've been running my blog for almost 3years now and didn't have much guide and direction. Seeing this, I'm going to apply them.
I am trying to start off with Affiliate Marketing journey but thanks very much Neil, I think I am starting to collect one piece at a time of my very important tools to work with, starting from your great formula....Thank you Sir.
This is excellent. Simple and to the point. I know it will work too, based on past experience. I just needed a fresh simple kick in the pants! Thanks, Neil!

Hi Neil, just starting to create everything that needs doing for socials etc but is there a min or a max amount of words a blog should be from your experience? Thanks also for all your videos. Very engaging and appreciated !
Hello!Neil Patel, thank you for your teachings that add knowledge to my thinking ability on writing my blog. I am almost halfway to finish writing my blog, but still wondering how to type the content on the site. How can one type the content, is it like normal typing. Please help on how to type the article to form the blog. Thanks I'm ALIYU.
Thank you so much for this video! it is really helpful. I have a question, I would be very happy if you answer🙏🏻 I searched on the internet but could not find a satisfactory answer. Are blog content and blog post the same thing? Thank you!
Neil, I'm a fan! Thanks for the insight. I'm opening a new business in the medical billing field. I have no experience in blogging. Any tips as to how I write in a way that comes off as an intelligent, experienced blogger? Thanks so much!
Hey Neil, How are you? I hope you and your family are doing well. I am a DJ and I was thinking of making my first post on my website. So Billboard puts out charts of the top songs. I was wondering if asking a question (something like "what do you think of these songs") would be a good post? Thank you for your time and for making these videos. Have a great day.
I've never written a blog post before, and if you have any tips on how I can do a blog post to generate enough readers to be interested in my book I would be so grateful, please and thank you
Brilliant! I'm thinking about starting a book/movie reviews blog but confidence eludes me, I really wish to do well. Do you have any particular or outstanding tips that might help me as a beginner?
It's always scary to start something new. However, if you're passionate about your work then it will show through your content :) I do have free SEO and content courses here as well neilpatel.com/training/
My question is that I am having trouble with is: where can I input my blog writing ? I wrote the post in Microsoft Word however I do not know where to place this writing and place my photos beside it to look like a typical blog post. I appreciate the video and will let you know when I finish my website so you can check out what I created. Thank you
@@neilpatel Cool, Thanks! I am looking right now on Google Docs, which template would you recommend? I do not see 1 in particular that specifies Blogs.
Be cool to update this with the use of AI tools to help blog writing. I think headline / Topic is where you start....both for what Neil stated here and because it can also be used for SEO and traffic. Doesn't matter how good your content is if no one finds you.
