Hey Simon, thank you very much. I came back to professional writing from being an advertising copywriter after 3 years. And This video of yours really helped me to write and edit my own blog as a content writer. Love from India!
I’ve just had a website made and I’ve had some training with it, but I forget,, this was brilliant especially for me .... thanks,, I’ve subbed as well,,😊
@Loving life mallorca happy to hear. When I make these videos and write blogs, I put myself in the shoes of others. It must be daunting to have hired someone to build a website and then try to edit it yourself. Glad it helps
Hey friend, I just learned how to make a website Can I ask you a question Flatsome vs Elementor who is easier to manipulate and more professional Thank you and look forward to hearing from you.
Yes. You can design a template in your page builder or your theme builder. Then when you publish your blog it will display nicely in your stylized pre-built template.
Hi, an admin can create login details for each member of the enterprise. The admin can also manage each members access rights (post, edit, delete etc).
Hello, good question. First off thanks for watching and commenting! The term which might help is 'stock photo'. Try Pixabay or Pexels. Still can't find your photo? Try FreePik, Unsplash, Vecteezy (I have not used these). Please make sure you read the websites and individual photo T&C's. Some times they display premium photos but the vast majority are free. Sometimes they ask you to credit the photographer some say its optional. Their T&C's will explain. You can use schema to credit the photographer but that's abit advanced. Hope that helps!!!
Ah, good question. Each platform should have a similar process but I couldn't comment without knowing more. Your best bet is searching 'how to write a blog post [name of your website builder]'. If you need help moving to WordPress I might be able to help .
@@powerpluspr1545 Elementor Pro have a 'post widget' where you can change the skin, columns, amount of posts etc and achieve what you are after. Unfortunately, it is not available in the free version. There are plugins out there that say they provide this functionality but I haven't used them before so can't recommend them. If you search something like 'free Elementor widget/ plugin' to display posts' Hope that helps
Hi, I think keyword density and counting how many keywords is a bit of an old school train of thought. The best way forward is to write what you know and be concise. In terms of a %, there are no hard and fast rules for keyword density - just don't stuff keywords in there for the sake of it.
hmm, interesting. Hard to say without seeing. I think it's purely down to the fact you are using the classic editor. I would deactivate it and you'll see my options. However, I don't know your setup. I would always suggest a staging website, or create a dummy site and I'm unsure if you have the confidence in de-activating plugins etc. but the first place I would start is deactivating the classic editor.
Thanks for your video. Nice, Details . I have a question please will be that perfect for me if I would make a Books Translation website through WordPress. If not, what is the other option you can advise me with thank you much.
In general - WordPress is very flexible and can allow for a lot of customisation. In regards to your specific question - I have never created a book translation website and so unfortunately cannot give you an answer.
I am having trouble adding a post under a menu option. For example I have a menu option that says “design” and I have a post titled, “shelving 101”, how would I place it so that if you click “design” you see the post “shelving 101”. Do you have a video on how to do that?
Hi, I do not have a video. But here are the steps: Step 1. Login to WordPress 2. Click Appearance 3. Click Menus 4. Under 'Add Menu Items' Click 'Posts' 5. Tick your desired post i.e. 'shelving 101' 6. Press Add to Menu 7. Drag it under the menu item 'design' 8. Press Save
Hi, I use Wordpress and have elementor enable. When I publish a post it appears in the whole page, how do I make it that it looks centralized with space in the left and right?. Ty
Hello, there are a few questions to ask. You might be using Elementor to have designed your website but are you publishing posts in Gutenburg? What theme are you using? Within your theme settings (or if you're hoping to change one post do this inside the 'edit post' option for individual posts) you need to look for 'content layout' and for terms such as 'boxed, content boxed, full width/ contained, full width/ stretched'. Click on each content layout style, preview the post (making sure you're cache is clear) and have a look. Did that work?
Thanks, I’m stressing out because of I’m new to macbook, I think I’m gonna use a windows for this one. I can’t add title nor the body of my article because it just don’t pop up on my macbook
Sorry to hear that. I don't use Apple products so I'm unsure what the solution is. I do know WordPress is compatible with Mac's. Maybe try zooming out?
Hi, each blog post is it's own page. You add the name of the slug (permalink/ URL) yourself before publishing the post. If you wanted to include the post on a specific page you would either need to use a plugin with that feature (now sure why you would want to do this unless it was an archive page) or simply utilise internal linking.
Good question! A site vistor will be able to find your blog be numerous ways. 1. search engines when the user searches a specific term. 2. by internal linking. for example if they are already reading one blog, you should link to another. 3. your blog archive page. on my website blog is in the header. when you click it, it takes you to my blog archive where all blogs are stored. Hope that helps. If i haven't answered please let me know.
@@itssimondigital aah I think # 3 is the part I’m looking to create. An obvious link somewhere on my page for folks to go and access all of my blogs. Do you have a vid on how to do that at all??
Creating engaging blog posts in WordPress is essential for attracting and retaining readers. BlogHandy streamlines the writing process with its intuitive interface, making it easier to craft compelling content that resonates with your audience.
Bro you are doing a great job, one request don't put background music or reduce its volume .. that way we can hear your voice clearly .. Thanks a lot for sharing this beautiful content .
Wowwww this was such a fantastic video. Thank you so much for this video. I got a lot of value out of it. The best video on WordPress I've seen so far .
Hey Simon, thank you very much. This video really helped me to write and edit my own blog as a content writer. It would be better if no background sound. Thank you.
Hi, I haven't got any videos for SEO yet but here are my blog posts for just SEO tips: www.focusedallday.co.uk/seo-tips/ Hope that helps and thanks for writing in.
Hi Simon. Thank you so much for this informative video. I've just started blogging for my business membership area. I learn by watching (not reading manuals) and your video was extremely helpful. Thank you
Glad it was helpful! I too find videos incredibly helpful. I made 'how to write a blog post' fluff free and informative as that's exactly what Iook for.
Thanks, I hope it goes well. I wrote 2 blogs yesterday. Just make sure what you write is of high quality, relevant and helps answers someone's question.
Hi, yes there is. WordPress itself started as a blogging platform so you can use that and a free theme. If you want to style it and use a page builder Elementor works well. Elementor Pro allows for more widgets to customise your blog further.
Hey Simon, A quick question. When I add my featured image in the blog, the images go up to the top and the title below. What should I do to make my title at the top and the image below it?
Hello, it is possible i have done this. Last time was 1-2 weeks ago. It depends on your theme or page builder. It might depend if you're using the free or pro version. option 1 - theme - Some themes allow you to change the position within the customise pannel. There might be a 'single blog archive' click in there and rearrange the order of the featured image. option 2 - page builder - create a blog template and style it exactly how you want. option 3 - child theme - its possible to change this using code. the above two are easier. what theme/ page builder are you using?
Thank you, I'm glad to have helped you post a blog on WordPress. May I please ask what topic and subject your blog post was on? If you need any more help, I have more WordPress videos or feel free to contact me directly. I'm always working on a WordPress project and will be more than happy to help. Thanks again. Simon
Hi, thanks for the comment. I don't promote affiliate products. However once you become an affiliate with a company all you need to do is link out to them using your code. This can be achieved with any hosting provider.
@@dileepbanks Hi, there are many ranking factors. If two sites are identical on all other factors speed will be used as a tie-breaker. Although speed starts with good hosting you can optimise your website for page speed by reducing image size, fewer sections etc.
Hello, if a user on your website clicks on your blog page, they should see all your blog posts. Have you accidentally published your post as a 'draft' or published it as 'private'? If you have no worries, just go back into the WordPress editor (if that's where you wrote it), and press publish 'public'. The blog posts which do show are they all from a specific category or tag? I wonder if your blog page has been set up to show only certain types of posts or if it has been created to hide 'uncategorised' posts. Unlikely, but worth checking.
The music in the background is my favorite series of notes, and I get to hear that series many times. Once again, those who dispute the utility of background music in instruction videos are proven wrong.
I guess it is a matter of taste, I find it distracting and that it does not add anything of value to the video. The instructions are very good and it does not need anything added to it.
