No joke a girl at our school mentioned a book in her personal statement but didn't read it and her interviewer turned out to be the author of that book! Busted!

Applying to uni in the UK sounds stressful... Here in the Netherlands you just have to pass your exams and can study what you want, wherever you want as long as you took the right classes.
@ibzmo I know right! I live in the Netherlands too, and the environment for high school students is very low-stress compared to other countries. On the other hand, I'd love to go to Oxbridge and I find it very hard to do the research about the uni and also what they expect from me to get in, as my school can't help me at all and I have no understanding of the ucas system. Your videos really help me with that, so thank you!!
In my cambridge interview they literally asked me to define a word in a specific paragraph of a chapter in the middle of one of my books like maaate I wasn't paying attention by that far into the book 💁🏻💁🏻

IBZZZ you's looking fiyah! the pink flannel and that TRIM thooo 🔥 super helpful video! whenever i watch you i always feel so inspired and motivated, and i definitely needed that today especially as i've been so lost in the seasoning recently since it's finally summer and it's becoming harder to keep the work ethic up. i have so much prep work i intend to do this holiday as i really want to apply to Cambridge for Economics but the pre-interview assessment and the university itself got a bitch shook! i really have to practise way more and up my game in general, as well as do a ton of reading around my subject and I hope and know that in the end, it'll all pay off. i just really want to thank you so much because you're like my favourite person ever and it makes my day whenever you post a video, but also because you remind me that anything's attainable through hard work and dedication. also being an ethnic minority and coming from difficult beginnings like you, you really are such an inspiration and someone i really look up to and relate to. thank you so much for all the positivity and sauce you radiate, you really are such an amazing, beautiful person and i appreciate it so much... now i guess it's time to get cracking on that personal statement 😩😂

I think another add on to tip #8 is to know when to stop. I went to quite a few different teachers and they all said different things and I remember the second to last teacher telling me that I need to know when I am happy with my own personal statement. As there is not just one way to create an amazing personal statement, each time you show someone your ps they are going to always continue to offer new suggestion and it can be a never ending cycle. This made me really fed up and stressed out until I took another look at my ps and decided that this is it. Anything more or anything less and it wouldn't be me. So yes there needs to be a point where you decide that you are happy with your personal statement.

Be careful when you do because chances are someone has written what he just said and it may plagiarise your personal statement. Just change the wording 👍

Thank you SO much for this. I applied through UCAS on my own last year but all my options failed. Looking back at the personal statement I wrote at that time, I feel like I found the reason why the universities rejected me xD I had done literally everything you mentioned not to do! :( As an international student, the whole application process is a bit too competitive but I'd really love it if I could study there in the UK. So, I'm applying this year too. I can't thank you enough for these amazing tips and for inspiring me to not give up and keep trying.
