@@ianthesecond Hey! So I actually ended up finding that I had more of a passion for Computer Science rather than Mechanical Engineering. I'd like to create some stability for myself first with a software job, then pursue my riskier dream of game development. Best of luck with ME tho man!

I know you said you're not going to focus on the "introduction and conclusion" part but I would really love to know briefly if the introduction can be personal (like the 1st thing that sparked your passion) or just a professional introduction (as in name, what I am doing right now etc.)

This weekend I am applying for masters at the ETH. So you, as an ETH graduate, could give an ETH specific advice, when it comes to writing such a letter? e.g. focus more on the goals, rather than on the achievements, etc. Thank you for the video, it came at a *very* opportune time :D

A personal statement shows that you are more business oriented or more academia oriented, that is you are driven to apply to a university to get knowledge and leave for a company to make money or you can stay in academia to do groundbreaking researches. You went to ETH Zurich, right? What is ETH Zurich more oriented by? How would it be different from American educational system where it gave me an impression to be more business oriented?

Just a general comment that can be true or false for the person that reads it, but Its probably not suggestible to write why the university can help you achieve your goals as it only establishes that they are helping you and that they could do a good job rather then what you can contribute.
