It was a privilege to be asked by Steinberg to create a demo track for their latest instrument X-Stream. Here's a breakdown of how I created that track.

Love your style. It's given me some inspiration. Steinberg really scored bonus points for me with this too. If anyone is looking for this but poly (this is mono), use the Halion 7.1 spectral synth. It's the same thing as this, plus some, but without the easy gui.

I just learned about X-Stream from Chris and S1ngs of L1fe and this video popped up with it! I love your composition here... some of these presets are so perfect for ambient meditation music. I JUST downloaded it and will be playing with it later today! Cheers, Tom!!

Yo Tom, I got Blackhole in the summer sale (watched your video previously), and now this Spectral synth is f**king mental....you know that.....

I just downloaded it and although I'm very impressed with it, I find that it's LOUD! So loud in fact that a lot of the sounds are making digital distortion. Crackly noises. I wish there was a way to turn down the volume on a global level. Turning down the channel fader doesn't do it so I'm actually turning down the level using the "amp" knob on the synth.
