I'm planning to audition for some companies this summer and for a part of the audition I have to choreograph my own dance routine but I didn't know how to keep notes. Very helpful video. Thank you!
Thank you so much. You are such an Inspiration! I choreograph for my church. Your patient teaching style has helped my dancers and me so much. I have dancers from age 6 to 78 and you have helped me teach every one better. I was even brave enough to make videos to help my dancers learn a difficult choreography quickly. Thanks again!
Thank you 🙏 this has been my biggest fear about choreographing and once I released this fear, i randomly found your channel and you’ve been so helpful. When I blow up in the world, just know that your videos have REALLY been a huge piece of mind for me. IVE LEARNED SO MUCH! 💝💝💝 THANK YOU
This is helping me so much thanks! I have 3 performance shows in June/July and we started learning it today. I’m doing a ballet dance and I need to try and remember it so I’m taking notes after each lesson to learn it at home x
That was helpful, thanks! I have always improvised my fire dancing and this is my first attempt at choreography and it's exciting but also a bit confusing. I was kind of expecting more advice but I guess it is just that difficult to translate movement into written word. Makes me appreciate the work of choreographers even more! Cheers
Thanks for sharing, I'm learning to dance neoswing [just for the fun of it], and would like to come up with a routine. Then it dawned on me, I have no idea how to actually write it down in an effective way...thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much for this video, it is really helpful. You are a great inspiration. I had a question. You mentioned about counts and how to note them above the coreo/lyric. But can you also explain how to break down the counts. I never understood the counting part and I am already in an advance class. I survived because I heavily depend on lyrics in my dance class. 😁 I get confused especially when there is an 'and' between the counts. Like 1 'and' 2 'and' 3 'and' 4. And sometimes the step starts with eight 'and'. I know this is very basic but can you make a youtube tutorial on how you break down the lyrics on counts.
I have a dance channel too (@Lily Dance) and this is a great idea for a video. I can link the video in this comment if you'd like (or you can just subscribe if you can find it)
how do i *make* moves? i am making a dance to play with fire pulling inspiration from the cover dance from Hyunjin who used the same song. same style different moves

Hey Auti, I know this is an old video, but this helped a lot, bc I'm currently working on a few numbers for my adult company. Hope you're doing well! Trent
Okay, so I wanna be a dancer. I don’t know how to dance. So I’m working on my dancing abilities and my flexibility. Though, I can never remember anything. I’m pretty young so I thought this was a good time to start. I think I have a lot of energy, and I’m pretty darn confident. Do you think I could do it?
or you can get really "profesh" and learn Labanotation or Benesh notation. Others who know those systems can read and can dance what you've notated. Imagine!
All I do is tiktok dances and the only ones I know are "We like the cars that go boom" and "jump up super star" so I don't really know what I'm doing here
Hi. I think you are wonderfully helpful, creative, talented and likable. This video was excellent. But having said that, I'm going to add a criticism regarding the quality of the video. Try to respect that videography is also a serious profession .... so hire a pro to do your videos. A pro would never record you in a room with such horrible acoustics. The echo is overpowering and makes it hard to focus on what you're saying. It makes you both look unprofessional, makes it looked like you cheaped out. I could offer lots of tips, but, basically - Hire a pro! 😎. Or at least have your guy watch a video on how to make a video! 😀. Best Wishes. You're very good.
