I am Italian, and a lot of my dear Georgian friends always told me that their alphabet was like the Italian one: you pronounce every letter as it is. But the sounds themselves are pretty difficult, I still got an hard time with the R's ahahah love to all my Georgian fellows! 🇮🇹💙🇬🇪

Lucía Monzón No, there are no similarities. Although, there are some historical sources saying that the person who created the Armenian alphabet - Mesrop Mashtots - also created the Georgian letters. (He had equally created the neighboring Caucasian Albania’s/Aghuan’s alphabet.) But Georgians sources do not support this, so we don’t really know. He may have helped to create it, but it is unlikely that he was *the* one who created it. The only similarity I can think of is that both Armenians and Georgians might have based the *order* of their letters on the Greek alphabet ordering... A B G... instead of A B C. 🙂 Apart from that, us and our neighbors both have amazingly beautiful and unique scripts 🇦🇲🇬🇪
This is trully amazing!!! Your hand writting is beautiful !!! Highly appreciate your interest in Georgian and respect your diligence in learning Georgian writting!!! ❤
Thank you so much, this is really helpfull! I am learning Georgian alphabet and couldn't figure out how to write some letters. This is great :) thank you again!
We have 3 tipes of Georgian alphabet Mkhedruli, Nuskhuri and Asomtavruli. They are Georgian scripts but they are absolutely difference each other. for example: This is Mkhedruli მხედრული (nowadays we use this) This is asomtavruli- ႠႱႭႫႧႠႥႰႳႪႨ This is Nuskhuri- ⴌⴓⴑⴞⴓⴐⴈ
we have three types of alphabet this is modern one that is used now.Georgia is little country with big history.Georgians invented three types of alphabet that was used in different centuries.
I recall there was an attempt to consolidate two of them and adopt a more Western syntax, so that you’d have capital and diminutive forms to break up sentences and emphasize proper nouns. That never gained any traction, did it?
I hope you eventually get to Khmer or that Ethiopian script. There is also a script that was used in the anime called "Crest of the Stars". Would be nice to see a video on... everything. :)

And also some people write ჭ and ჯ a little different from how they're supposed to be.... There's also ჟ which looked a little weird and ტ as well.. though lets be honest he did better than most foreigners would do. Georgian is confusing... How do i even know georgian..
@@NoOne-qi4tb i write შ and უ with heads like ~, i don't write it as 3 downwards and i just do a slight squiggle for ბ and do a similar thing with the head of ჭ, and sometimes i connect ი with ა, რ with ა and ს with ა even though you are bot supposed to do that and i don't connect letters where I'm meant to.
Excellent work!!! შ should be the mirror symmetric version of წ; your ტ is a bit strange looking ; Georgian ჯ is actually a bit lower than yours, look at these two with respect to each other : ხ ჯ (your ჯ looks more like ჭ) Top-notch, what can I say?!
Thank you for this demo. Your writing is beautiful! I am from the UK and have been learning to write and romanize the Mkhedruli Georgian script during second lockdown. I found several of the letters quite difficult to write neatly to begin with! I am also trying to learn some Georgian words and phrases but parts of the pronunciation are truly hellish - I shall persevere though! UK❤GE
Would you like a tip? Don't write too slow and don't press too hard on the paper. If you can't get the proportions right, try printing out the first grade notebooks grids, they are easier to write in and can help beginners a lot with that problem. Don't trust google translate, unless you do each word one by one. It doesn't translate grammatically correctly. If you are actively trying to learn, try finding online versions of the first grade books. First learn to write and read letters and try copying some text. Only learn grammar afterwards and make sure you have a decent dictionary beforehand, because it is neither easy or small. If you already know how to read and write, i would suggest akaki shanidze's grammar books and there's a book called "qartuli enis gramatika zarmacebisatvis" i don't remember the author, but if i can find them, i will send a pdf. It helped me a ton and explains a vast part of complicated grammar in an easier but still correct way. If you have any questions i am more than happy to answer.
