I’m definitely investing in the paperlike screen protector. I find my handwriting STINKS in Goodnotes, but is much more controlled in Procreate. The “streamline” effect in Procreate helps so much with control.
I’m exactly the same - that’s why I’ve decided to start practicing my handwriting! I’ve only been practicing for a short period of time and it’s made a huge difference 🤗
Actually it looked like you had the streamline function in Goodnotes as well (when you draw the bracket after point 3)! Is there a way to enable that on all apps or is it just a procreate thing? Thank you for your very helpful video!
@@sonjag2572 I wish Goodnotes would add streamlining for handwriting and more pens like procreate has. She was using procreate during this whole video.
I think I'm doomed, I had to put it on 2x speed and even then your handwriting took an eternity. I write super fast (and usually not that neatly, as you might guess).
does the lettering also depend on having the correct brush and thickness? I just ordered your sheets, so I am excited to see improvement in my note taking lettering... thank you

did you make a set for goodnotes ?? i like the one time 11 euro cost. i will be buying a ipad in at the end of this month and one thing on my wish list is to improve my hand writing. i'm 46 and have an awful handwriting .. so it's time to work on it haha.. Hiya! So far the pencil cover has been great - not shifting or moving around. The only thing is that it makes it slightly less sticky, so it's easier to fall off the iPad. I don't mind though - the first gen Apple Pencil didn't stick at all 😂
@@iPadLettering the touch screen won’t let me rest my hand on the screen like I do when I wrote on a paper . So I CAnt wrote on my I pad and I have a Paperlike protector but not the original one I have an other brand
Do have an ipad, but not compatible with an Apple Pencil unfortunately (6 year old iPad Air 2). So here I am drooling and dreaming about the day I can finally switch to a new iPad with Apple Pencil 😝
iPad Lettering I have been on hunt for a good writing pen in procreate. It seems like all the brushes/pens that say they write like a pen/pencil don’t, I just want to write a word but it does this weird (how to describe it lol) lagging when making a hump on a letter (like writing the letter m) or writing out letter with an oval (like writing out the B or lowercase q or p). The brush seems like it can’t keep up with what I am doing even, when I am going slow. Man, I don’t know if that makes sense lol, having a hard time putting into words.
haha yes I think I know what you mean - it’s probably the streamline feature you are having trouble with. Are you looking for a monoline brush or do you want it to be pressure sensitive?
Stephanie...click on the brush you want to try and then click it one more time. The brush “properties” page will pop up. Go to “streamline”...I think it’s the second slider down...and lower that slide. The higher the percentage, the less the brush leaves the paper. I usually like my streamline about 60% for hand lettering. This will allow you to complete your letters correctly, yet still make them smooth and not shaky like in GoodNotes! Blush River Design on Etsy makes my favorite brushes! She has a gel glitter pen that is my go-to for practicing lettering!
