Why did you hardcode the name in the stored procedure? in real life I would never hard code a name in a stored procedure that I wanted to change.

I think you are refering to the filter criteria (WHERE Firstname = 'KTTPRO'). This is different from the parameter @Firstname. It's just by chance that both are the same in this demo, but they are two different things. Store procedure parameters should not be hardcoded, that is correct and I think that's what you mean. But filter criteria could be specified based on requirements and therefore could include literals. Does this clearify it?
