Matt Walner not really. It helps establish credibility, but without a highlight video, they can’t be sure how good you are. It matters more how good you are as opposed to the level. Obviously level is important, but in any level you need to be able to stand out.

Ben Medrek great question! You should send an email to the head coach as well. However, in bigger universities, the assistants are typically the ones going through emails and doing a lot of recruiting. Often times the head coach is very busy with bigger picture stuff that they leave recruiting emails to assistants.

Start now but don’t expect replies until June 25 got sophomore year, the earlier you start the better, it Defientely won’t hurt you starting ealry

Depends on your playing ability 99 times out of 100 I’d say college so you have a back-up if soccer fails, you know there is a high-chance even if you’re pro u won’t make enough money to sustain yourself for the rest of your life so it’s always good to have a degree to fall abck on after soccer isn’t an option. On top of this, what happens if you get injured and you have neglected your education?? You’re in a bad position, so I’d say college soccer is the better option, however, I have no idea on your playing ability to you would need to get a second, third, fourth opinion

Depends whether your standing out on your team or not, you gain credibility from what level you play at but you need to be standing at to gain the attention of these coaches regardless of what level your playing at.

Yes of course!! Here are some steps you need to take first 1. (Not compulsory) but I recommend reaching out to a college recruitment agency such as NCSA and take advantage of their free consultation as they will have way more information than me and will make sure you are on the right path 2. If not you must research NCAA guidlines on eligibility for Qatar and check your eligibility 3. If you are eligible go ahead and email NCAA institutions, if not start emailing NCJAA or NAIA institutions as they are more lenient but also make sure you are eligible to play in those divisions as well as there are a lot of tricky rules and regulations for international students wishing to play college soccer 4. Research, researxh, research!! Learn as much about the process as you can as it is very tricky, know what level you should be playing at and email those divisions only don’t waste your time with D1 schools if your not up to that standard as your only wasting your own valuable time There’s way more too it to this but I thought I’d get you started Feel free to ask me any questions in your journey
