Even as someone who’s been selling a few years, these videos are good reminders to make sure we’re continuing to do what works. I love your videos so much, thank you so much!
Great points about the product descriptions. I am particularly keen to read them when I buy something as everything costs more when you are buying from Australia (There is no Australian TPT yet :(. I implemented some of your strategies on my products and this has helped me to get some more views on my blog. Then I am creating descriptions I have 2 TPT windows open so I can just copy and paste things like my social media links to the new product. The good thing with this is that there is no need to create all the links every time!
Thanks for the insight! I also use the same description! If you go to Product listings > quick edit > create a similar listing and it will copy the description and categories and everything.
Can thumbnails function as preview effectively if they include the relevant detail? Or is it really important to create a pdf to upload? I've been putting the same info in my thumbnails that I had in the previews for other products.
Totally depends on the product! If there are less pages and you can put enough detail into the thumbnails, that's fine. But the more info you have, the better it will sell. Just depends on the product!
Wouldn’t so many links AWAY from the listing be potentially dangerous (ie. distracting to the customers and lead them away from that listing/sale)? I want to make sure they’re not distracted and lead away from clicking BUY.
That's a great point! I try to only link to things that will bring future sales (email list, instagram, etc). But being streamlined can help reduce confusion!
Hey Becca! I was wondering If I could use your thumbnails as an example for my products. If you want I can give you credit, lik go your store and website. Im willing to that if needed I just love the design! Thanks
Hi Aron, It is great to see that you like Becca's content so much. Please be careful not to copy her thumbnails exactly as this is part of her branding and it would be an infringement of copyright. Look at several different sellers on TPT and try to make your own design that is unique to you and your store. I am still quite a new seller but I would be happy to look at your store and give you some feedback. Here is one of Becca's tutorials on Canva ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-e7dvrHmdoBQ.html This is how I learnt to use canva! All the best with your store
Hi Aron! You can use elements of my thumbnails, but copying them is not in your best interest. If you like the block, use that but change the color. Or use the color but change the shape. Looking at your store, I'd suggest that you focus on making your covers cohesive. Some look very similar to mine and some are very different. Pick a style you like and run with it-- just don't make it look like other people's .
TpT's own data team has said that the first three lines don't impact your products' priority in search results. I'll link the video if I can find it. Maybe they're just trying to throw us for a loop. 🤔😕
@@RapOperaCentral @BeccaDavis - Did they say what DOES impact products' priority in search results then? I feel like the only ones that pop up on the first pages are the sellers who have literally thousands of products and followers already - how do you compete with that?
