"the strength of all Yaks are great top speed, great turn rate, great climb rate, great energy retetion, excellent acceleration" - I knew they were fucking soviet UFOs, since fighting them in P-51/P-47 is a nightmare.
If you see a Yak above you in a P-47, don’t try to climb up to meet it head on or you’re going to be a fat sitting duck. Instead, pitch your nose 0° to -15°. If the Yak dives on you, dive towards the ground & turn on WEP. That way you will gain energy and the Yak would either have to break off the attack or try to follow you & risk ripping the wings. Never fight a yak that has more Energy than you.
The Yaks absolutely clobber under 4000 meters I’ve found. If you’re flying USA or GER, just stay above them. Their engines (not the VK-107) usually choke up at higher altitudes, and it limits their performance
@@HeyImKatyusha Oh, for sure. After flying the Yak-3 for a bit and coming right out of the gate with a 5 K/D, it’s got some addressable issues like the rip speed and the high speed compression that can get you killed if you go into a scissors with an enemy that bleeds speed faster than you. Who would have thought that a plane that performs best at lower altitudes plays well in a game that features small maps with airfields close together? (Jokes)
The Yak-3 never had any 64mm glass windshield but instead had the glass on the rear behind the pilot’s headrest. The Yak-9 series always had the bulletproof windshield
This is just everything I was looking for and wanted. You are amazing. I really did not expect to be in any of your videos. It is incredible. I would like to play some games with you one day. I really like these planes now that I had a chance to play them, you made a great tutorial🍞👍
my in-game name is the same like here so you can always add me. im always open to play air matches when im online, you just need to write me. i noticed that playing alone i have to kill way more cause my team is never able to achive anything. this video is the best example. all the games you saw where first or second take. balanced games is a thing for the past sadly
Can confirm, the yak7b pulls worse than a brick. It was my introduction into the yak family and left a bad taste in my mouth, thinking all of them were like that. After playing the yak3, my opinion changed drastically.
@@HeyImKatyushaI fully agree. I remember realising how horrible the turnrate was in a dogfight. I think it has its place in 2.7 USSR ground RB, though, because: It still has enough agility It gets 2 x 50 kg drops The berezins help massively in destroying tanks. But for air RB, the only reason it's higher BR than the Yak-1 is because of a little bit of "J-21 syndrome" - the average War Thunder player just finds the first red dot and sends it for them, not taking advantage of their flight performance. And when a player plays like that, they're bound to do better in planes with good guns regardless of the flight performance it has. And that pushes the stats high enough for the Yak-7 to stay at 2.7
With mec, the yak 3 goes about 570 at the deck. Yak 9u, 585 at the deck. You can use full wep for the entire match and never overheats. Both yaks, can out run the bf109g10-g14 and completely out turn them with 0 issues. You also can keep up with the fw190 d9,d13 and ta152 at the deck.
in case of the yak1b it isn't. the B version is a slightly upgraded yak1 but nothing too crazy. the yak9 is in my opionion still superior cause of the better engine power
@@HeyImKatyusha yeah the yak-1B was an upgraded yak-1 most notably flown by Lydia Lytvyak, I prefer the Yak-1B bc I’ve never flown a base model yak-9 lol
That's cause yaks fly like bf109 but didn't forget that they are fighters and not a jack of all trade. The only thing they cared about is less weight and more engine. Protection like glass sealf sealing fuel tanks weren't important
i forgor to add the songs used in the video im sorry. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8u_m4R4jomk.html the first 3 songs are the one i used in this video
a p51 video is worth thinking about cause i see super passive player doing nothing until they think you can do nothing against them. its annoying and slowing down the whole game. thats a goo idea
@@HeyImKatyusha Yea half the time flying the mustang or corsairs I just lose cause I have american teammates who never climb or try to use their speed they just fly into the furball and get decimated by a yak, a zero, a spitfire, or bnz'd by a 109. After they all die I am just left in a 1v8 scenario where the other team can just hunt me down even if my top speed is better. Very fun experience
Do french Yak-3s have better performances than the Soviet ones? Cuz when there's a french Yak-3 user in my match, they tend to single handedly obliterate the other team more often than not
When you're shooting it, basically treat the main cannon like it is semi auto, 1 or 2, MAYBE 3 round burst tops. When fighting planes try and energy trap/out turn them and wait until you get close or have a really good shot. Against ground speed up to about 500-540 flying past your target, then pull straight up and kill the engine, wait until you're shooting straight into the top, then pull up and hit WEP. Otherwise, lighter tanks, you can kill or take out tracks from the side, so your teammates don't have to fight all the spawning people at once. I routinely kill F80s with my yak 9t it's so good
It is indeed. The video is from my old bf109k4 ace battles. The most skill full video on my channel if you ask me. You can find it when you open my channel page
Hey, what the hell… this isn’t a guide for saving your friend from alcohol poisoning by making them vomit… I need to know how to make him yak right now, or we’re going to lose him 😭😭😭
It is. Especially the whole Yak-Series is totally broken. They have fantasy stats which are far from realistic, they have literally no weakness. Except a little bit of bad performance at high altitudes but that doesnt matter anyway because no soviet pilot is going that high, there is simply no need for them to do that.
