He’s still doing controlled stunts with the best safety measures in place that money can buy. An actor who does their own stunts does have courage, but it’s the “Of the highest admiration” that I was disagreeing with” lol. And I’m not even claiming that Tom doesn’t have more courage than me, I’m only courageous in video games lol.

Me too but not as young as 8 yrs old, I worked at 10yrs old because I wanted to be able to buy the extras that I wanted besides my limited allowance. I totally see where Tom Cruise is coming from, you have to focus on the health, mental and physical factor and hit all the notes in order to succeed whether it be in healing or acting or any goals, it is like a check list that you have to check off to reach the goal. I admire his tenacity.

Tom Cruise is better skilled than much stunt men, even stunt men acknowledge this. The fact that it Tom who’s actually doing the stunts is what makes him and his moving so amazing to watch and this was the only one big unhurt he got and he fully recovered.

if i had hundreds of millions, i also could train ten hours a day and take care of my health. but i have to get up at 4am and work 8 hours, sometimes 12 hours a day. there is not much left of the day.

I realise I'm in the minority in saying this, but Tom Cruise's mindset doesn't seem entirely healthy to me. I know that the mantra of the day is "Work hard and then work even harder" to achieve whoever knows what, but, seriously, aren't physical injuries, if nothing else, your body's way of telling you to take it easy, at least for a while? I know that in our culture determined goal-oriented back-breaking work makes for a pretty success story, but more often than not it drains you of your health, both physically and mentally.

@@wowkir didn't mention the word selfish at all. I was implying that there are many other actors whom dedicate their lives to their work. Sometimes sequels become Repetetive. There's only so many stunts that one can do. Jackie chan never had the same acclaim and his stunts are amazing.
