The star of the highly-anticipated new Spider-Man film swung by for his American talk show debut, and explained the surprising way he found out he'd won the role.
This guys delightful, he's one of those celebrities that seems genuinely grateful that he can do what he loves and get paid loads for it, not too many of them these days.
Like me he came for Tom. And please it has nothing to do with her being gay before someone jumps on their high horse, she's just a very awkward unfunny person who seems very uneasy in her own skin. Always seems nervous and uncomfortable. Look at her clutching that arm rest, does that seem like someone who's relaxed and at ease with the person she's talking to?
septillion2501 some people are awkward my guy. I'm the same way, but I've never had a problem with people in my life. I mean if you don't think she's funny, that's whatever. to each their own. but I don't think she's fake or uncomfortable, just a little odd. nothing wrong with odd
The fact that this guy not only is an amazing actor but as an individual you can see how fresh and pure he is and how energetic his energy is i really really hope he stays the same after fame and loved the movie btw i always thought toby was the best but damn this guy was amazing
Okay firstly.. I am a girl, and second *¿what if I'm gay?* I mean... that is not even an insult. We are in 201fucking7 and I believe that you are better than this (hopefully) so... *stop acting like a ugly person and be kind.* *ps*: you know that the host of this show is ellen degeneres? aka the only sucessfull *gay* (lesbian) who have a talk show right now. so... I don't get you.
Gosh, Tom Holland is adorable. I really like his energy and how humble he is. The dude was perfect in Homecoming and he's my favorite live action Spider-Man. I hope Tom continues to get big roles because he's a talented actor I actually want to see go far in his career.
I feel you friend. While Andrew and Tobey played their versions well and fit the looks of him during his senior year, going into his 1st year of college (by appearance as a lot of people looks older than what they are when they're teens - I was one). I feel that Tom is the pure embodiment of that. He's only 21 but still has the fresh look of someone still going through their first to third year of high school.
I swear Holland has the characteristics of Spiderman. The way he jumped on the bed so comfortable and casual. Marvel knows how to cast perfect people. Every actor in the MCU in my opinion can never be replaced.
A lot of actors actually stick to one particular funny story during press tours. For Tom, it's talking about how he got his role. For Chris Pratt, it's talking about how he used to work at a bad restaurant. It's pretty standard really; you don't want to have to make up funny stories on the go.
The brilliant thing about Tom Holland is, years and massive success later, and he's still so humble and genuine. His parents definitely raised him right.
Liba Nisa I can relate!! I have American internet friends that I FaceTime and they find my accent 'cool' and I really don't understand because it's normal for me😂🤷🏼♀️
THE _BEST 1996 the best was definitely not tobey😂 I like him as an actor but the story line they gave him sucked because they didn't even follow Spider-Man's story in the comics AT ALL.... Especially in the third film
shawnlegend16 To me, he will be the best Spider-Man yet, but won't have the best Spider-Man movie. In my opinion, it's nearly impossible to beat Spider-Man 2.
Nikko M This is true Spider-Man 2 is still the best spidey film only thing is Spider-Man 3 was so bad it messed that series up imo I think Tom can still have a better run of films since it's avengers films and solo films but time will tell.
Being a 90s kid, Tobey McGuire would always be the best spiderman for me no matter what. But in the present time, I'd say Tom Holland would definitely be up there with Tobey (for me).
Uouttooo chill lmao I think it's just repetitive, which is understandable, but to be fair everyone is asked that question about any roll so @R8-TV no matter what, that questions gonna be asked
I genuinely feel Tom is the best Spider-Man ever. All the other movies portrayed him too mature, unrealistically for his age, and they made him seem like he was just naturally a superhero. A lot of movies seemed to forget that Peter is only 15-16, he's very young, at least when he starts. Maybe it's because he's closer to Spidey's actual age than the other actors, but nonetheless Tom perfectly captures Peter's young, awkward personality and teenage characteristics. He made him inexperienced and clumsy, yet still kept the snarky comments and charisma. It was perfect and realistic and fun, it had everything that made Spider-Man the character he was intended to be. Same with the movie itself.
My mom did the same and she’s aiming to make me do the same. We lived with my aunt’s family for years and we moved five minutes away. My mom’s pushing me to move to these apartments within walking distance of my house when I move out (c" ತ,_ತ)
Yeah I hope he stays like that and continue to be his genuine self don't let Hollywood ruin your time stay in London and be with your family and friends
Idk if anyone else noticed this but it doesn't seem like Ellen is very interested in many guests anymore. It's like she's just going through the motions of being a talk show host but doesn't seem to try and have thorough and genuine conversations with her guests and doesn't even really attempt to listen and engage them and in convo. Then just gives them some prize at the end like it's a game show.
see i love andrew garfield but he was just too old to be playing a teen. Tom was like 19/20 playing a teen and andrew is almost 34 now and was ~28 in the first one. love him dearly, he was incredible, but there were flaws
no? not at all shallow? he's older and too old to be playing a teen, simply because he doesnt give off the teenager vibe anymore and they probably wouldnt be able to make more movies with him. It's weird enough in TV shows with people in their early 20's playing freshmen, but with a few years between the movies he just aged out of the part. And by flaws I mean the general casting of someone who was a little too old to play someone whos like sixteen/seventeen in the first movie. the flaw isnt his, there's obviously nothing wrong with aging, it just comes down to poor timing.
yikes ive never seen catch me if you can thats impressive lmao, and yes I don't dispute that he was a good teen, but in a multi-film franchise like marvel where theres at least 2 years between films it was just slightly past his time. I'm not saying he wasnt incredible, but there wasnt much further he could go as peter parker because he has begun to visibly look older- which isnt an issue in any other aspect of his life because it's completely normal and natural, but playing a teen just did not suit him anymore.
Oghosa Amegor this reply is late as hell but I'm sure she meant she had heard about it beforehand and so she got the bedroom,no way for her to get it if she just learned about it haha
Tom: *flops on bed, making a "cool" pose* Me: Can I marry you? We're seven years apart OOF Edit: DANG, 170 LIKES?! HAVE A COOKIE ALL OF YOU! 🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪🍪
