can you make the dropdown keyboard entry? searchable?

I purchased this product today and its great! However, I noticed that once the data pre-fills after selecting from the drop-down menu, the data is locked in all subsequent form fields and cannot be altered. Is there a way that the auto-fill data can be customized after all the information pre-fills directly in the form?

If I understand you correctly it is because you have put calculation scripts in the fields you are populating from the dropdown. Calculation field values can't be changed manually because they will always revert back to the calculation. Hi. I do not have the PDF Automation Station and other options under the "Help" Tab. How do I add those and more? I only have 9 options under the "Help" Tab.

Absolutely. It doesn't matter what page in the document fields are located.

I have a problem. I copied the columns from Excel but could not paste them onto the "Paste excel column" box. I don't know why.

If anyone else has this problem, paste from excel into a blank notepad file. Then Copy from there into the box

This seems to be the solution I need but I am wondering if I would be able to allow users to "Add Company" if they aren't on the dropdown list.

That can be scripted in a separate button to "push" the information into the dropdown.

So, once I create the PDF and I use your AWESOME tool to insert all the Excel data I can save the PDF. and with this PDF I want to send this PDF to a coworker. Will they need to purchase this tool as well? Or will all that data I imported using your tool stay in that one PDF and ANYBODY can open the PDF and they will be able to see all that Excel data WITHOUT having to install your tool as well?

The tool automates the form creation process. You only need it to create the form, not for functionality once the form is created.

Hi David i bought your tool and it works. But you need to make the dropdown searchable. Because without search funtion all this is useless. Nobody will scroll through 500 entries.

Dropdowns are now searchable with the latest versions of Acrobat Pro DC and Acrobat Reader DC. Make sure you have a blank as the first entry in the list. Make sure "allow user to enter custom text" is checked in the options tab of the field. Click the down arrow, start typing and the list will narrow by the letters you type.

@@binhbui415 Try pasting to Notepad first. If that doesn't work then it is a problem with either your Excel or your system.

I purchased the PDF Filler and followed the calculations from the video but can't seem to get the address and other information to populate correctly. My dropdown menus is called CompanyName instead of name. Not sure that makes a difference as I assume it it just referencing the name of the drop down menu. This is the formula for the address portion event.value=this.getfield("Customer Name").value.split("--")[0]; Hoping there is a solution

You said your dropdown is called CompanyName, but your script has "Customer Name".

You are correct I stated that wrong in my initial explanation. I have made sure the name matches the list in PDF Filler. However I am still not sure why it won't populate the Customer information. This is the script event.value=this.getfield("CustomerName").value.split("--")[0]; I changed it to match the name on the drop down menu from above. But still no change. @@PDFAutomationStation

I figured it out I have getfield and it needed to be getField. the F needed to be capitalized.
