My American husband went to Dhaka for the first time and he was blown away by the flavor of the food! Even Burger King was amazing…he went there twice! I tell people that Bangladesh has the best food, from cheap street food to gourmet expensive restaurants. We have high quality taste buds. There is no bad food there. There is not even average food. Every food is amazing!
Americans can tolerate spices much more than Europeans, thanks to Mexican food. So Bangladeshi food is pretty much tolerable for them. But Europeans struggle a bit with Bangladeshi foods, they like some foods and don't like other foods.
@@funsky40oh here you go again! Nobody goes to eat food holding hands in Bangladesh. Not a straight couple. Have some respect for the culture and religion. If you can’t, go somewhere you can go to eat food holding your boyfriend’s hand. If you are in Rome, be like the Romans.
@@tonuahmed4227 I wanna see a Bangladesh 🇧🇩 where straight / gay / trans and everyone else can kiss their loved ones in public without repercussions ! 🥹👨❤️👨🏳️🌈🇧🇩❤️
Brother Jason, one thing I would say the majority of the Indian restaurant that caters British people in the UK are owned by the British Bangladeshis. UK’s current national dish Chicken Tikka Masala was invented by Bangladeshis. The labelled as Indian restaurant in UK for catering the pan Indian subcontinent dishes (not for India as the country). One thing Bangladeshi do the best out of the whole South Asia is cook all kind of foods, from meat, seafood vegetarian and fish dishes (Bangladesh having these huge networks of river deltas).
Bangladeshi food is very unique and delicious to eat. You should try the traditional food of Bangladesh.you should try Chittagonian mezban . Almost each and every foreign RU-vidrs tried it. Respect from Chittagong.
So nice to see your travels in Bangladesh. I’ve also been about 7 times to Dhaka and looking to go again this December. It’s been nice to see the places you’ve visited that I can add to my list of sites to visit. Very cool to see your experience as well and visiting places I’ve been as well, including some of the restaurants like Star Hotel & Kabab. 😊
Bangladeshi cuisine is far far better than Indian cuisine. It’s NOT Indian cuisine that is famous in the West, it’s Bangladeshi cuisines,, cooked by Bangladeshi chefs. When many people came over to the UK 🇬🇧 in the 60’s and early 70’s, Bangladesh did not exist in the 60’s and in the 70’s, people in the West, referred to Bangladeshi’s as Indians or did not even know of a country called Bangladesh 🇧🇩. Thats why, it was easier for the Bangladeshi communities in the UK, who opened up shop, found it easier to say Indian restaurant or Indian food, as the English only knew of India back then. Bangladeshi cuisine is not only has a variety of vegetarian dishes, but also chicken, meat (cow, mutton, sheep etc) and also a variety of fish dishes. Indian food mainly consist of vegetarian dishes and they don’t have that many options in meat, as they themselves don’t eat meat. Bangladesh 🇧🇩 is famous for its kachi biriyani. Out of all of the Indian Subcontinent, Bangladeshi 🇧🇩 cuisine is the BEST! So much flavour and so many spices, cooked in so many different ways. You can’t beat Bangladeshi cuisine.
That breakfast in the beginning of this video took my apetite away immediately! Nasty stuff that early in the morning?? mutton brain, mutton liver, mutton ass, mutton everything..gross 😢🤢🤮
Correction : 90% of so called Indian restaurants in the western world are Bangladeshi restaurants! Most of the Indians don’t even eat meat or fish , they are vegetarians. No rethink !! I don’t know which planet you are from mate !!
I really advice foreign travellers to not to travel solo in Dhaka and Bangladesh, because they miss so many interesting things which only locals know. Thank you so much Mitul vai for hosting Jason in this food tour.
Bangladeshi cuisine is better than indian cuisine many indian might get offended by seeing this comment And might say that we also have bengali food in west bengal but i have to say the food of west bengal and Bangladesh is much different we are so diverse even if we are thousands time smaller than india Like chicken tikka was invented by a Bangladeshi so its a Bangladeshi dish but people know this as indian because Bangladesh is underrated
Thanks for sharing, I personally would have a difficult time eating with my hands. 😊 guess you can get use to it, but I would be caring lots of wipes. Lol
Actually if you eat with your hands you will find food more delicious. Fingertips when it comes in contact with a food stimulate appetite centre in our brain. We use the right hand for eating food. Left hand for other purposes🤣 Spoon eating is pretty modern tradition in human history.
Wiping doesn't remove the smell of food and spices from your hand, you gotta wash your hand with soap. Speaking of smell and wiping, I remember something gross that you wipe but don't wash with water, and that smells too 😂
Hey Jason, in video after video we see you eating great food, yet you seem to always be in great shape. What's your workout routine? How do you stay fit while traveling so much?
Another dish you will only and only find it in banderban district, actually the way they make this is unique .The locals heat fish and meat inside a bamboo with different ingredients and saucedge. They serves you the dish by separating the bamboo while the dish comes out of it and the smells man 😊.You should definitely try it. Oh man couldn't speak less. So delicious to try 🤤.
There is some clarification required about Khichuri. It is not always a one pot dish. IMO the Bhuna version is the best accompanied separately by beef curry and fried aubergine
Boy, that was a proper Bangladeshi buffet. Not enough of them around except in someone's home. You tried Hilsha and the Duck! You have the same taste as me.
If you are planing to visit rajshahi in couple of days my advise is to not go there now. Because the admission test of rajshahi university and RUET will held in the first weak of march. In that time more than 300k people will go to rajshaihi. They will make realy mess and the campus area will be more more chaos. Also all hotels of rajshahi will booked in this time. There will be a huge mess in trains, buses. so try to visit rajshahi in the second weak of march . I hope everything will normal in that time. Otherwise if yoou go in this time you may not find the actual beauty of rajshahi. And face many problems.... Probably the exam will start at 4 or 5 of the march. And ther will be 3 exams on 5,6,7 of the month. So try to visit before 3 march or after 10 march..
When you eat “Indian Foods” in Europe and in the UK, it’s actually Bangladeshi foods in most cases! Although they usually don’t have the same menu in Bangladesh. I am surprised about the breakfast, I have to say 🤣🤣
@@absarius1216 Exactly! Sometimes these restaurants even call it “English dishes”, in the Uk, because it is not how they would cook it In Bangladesh. Modified to suit British taste. But it’s not Indian cooking! It is Bangladeshi!
@@travel_and_explore_with_BIP You misunderstood my point. If a Bangladeshi chef today adapts Chinese cuisine for Saudi palate, it wouldn't become Bangladeshi cuisine. There were no equivalent of dishes like tikka Masala and Butter chicken that were being cooked in average households in Bangladesh before these dishes were adapted by these Bengali chefs for Britain. So these dishes cannot pass as Bangladeshi cuisine.
@@absarius1216Didn’t we have the same point? I meant that the dishes are now English dishes, cooked by Bangladeshi chefs, not Indian dishes cooked by Indian chefs. Maybe I didn’t expressed this properly. Thank you for clarifying the issue though! It is very misleading calling this Indian foods!
When people say Indian food is great in western countries...they don't even know they just ate Bangladeshi cuisine. India is more well known, so, even when Bangladeshi chefs open restaurants, they name it something indian.
Indian foods r more spicy, use of more cream and masala type ingredients whereas Bangladeshi food has always unique test, less use od masala and cream or milk ingredients, just raw authentic test of food
I will say you should not go dhanmondi you should go old dhaka star kebab at rasa bazar.at that place there r so many 50yar plus restro and very cheep bt test smell world wives best challenge
I think you missed the biryanis, kebabs, khichuri, naan, paratha, kala bhuna, hilsha and all the desserts, which were actually more in number than "sauces and soups" :)
I like your vedios....You also should visit our Panchagarh city in Bangladesh and explor our village area. I thing it will give you much pleasure. So, come to our area and you also can contact with me I will try to show you around ❤
