An absolute baller was Ramires. Deserves to be spoken about a lot more than he is for sure. Interesting to think how much he would be worth in today's market.
At that point Ramirez was on fire. He also scored in the FA cup final, but for the Champions League final he was suspended due to yellow card accumulation. I am happy that Chelsea won the Champions League that year, but I always feel a tiny bit bad that Ramirez was not able to play. With his form at the moment, he could have also been a key player.
I remember seeing him play when I was younger as a utd fan but I always though why he wasn’t being praised more. He was such a machine and he could do anything… defend, score, dribble, etc… he was like a mini version of viera
Bro I literally say the same! And I'm also a United and Brazil fan! Hence I'm going to Name my next son Ramires💯 I pray he be resilient like him. Full of fight and passion. Even when he's underrated 🙏💯🇯🇲
Definitely a club great but top 5 is maybe a bit of a push considering we've had the likes of Lampard, Ballack, Kante, Makalele, Fabregas, Essien, John Obi Mikel etc.....they were all great in their prime and an argument can be made for all of them, others may even mention Ruud Gullit, who was way past his prime by the time he came to Chelsea......but he's still a midfield great who also played for the club at some point.
He was a slightly quicker/more deceptive and skillful Kante, but was played more of an 8 to Kante's 6. But the work rate was the same. Not a Chelsea fan, but Ramires was an animal. Ran so much and would always seem to pop up with huge goals or assists in big games for them. I remember him being very press resistant because of his underapprecaied skill on the ball and ability to accelerate by his man. Would be perfect for the even faster pace of the PL in the 2020's.
Definitely most underrated. My favorite Chelsea player, he was exciting because his goals were always unexpected and important in big games. It’s a shame some fans only remember him for his barca goal, not his skills and overall contribution as a player for the club
long gone are the days where even players like ramires struggled to get time at chelsea, now trash like gallagher, rubem loftus cheek, mount, and a lot more constantly fucking start, what a fucking decline, how the mighty have fallen, ramires today would be more talented than most players in the current chelsea squad
Thanks a lot! Yeah, I am going to post many videos about former Chelsea players over the next weeks so please stay tuned and always tell me your feedback 😊
El motor Ramires, era una locura como se movia, el prototipo de los medicampistas que vemos hoy en día junto con Pogba, no entiendo como Brasil no apostaba por él y si en bultos como Fred o Paulinho
Who said he was underrated? He wasn’t just a workhorse; he was technically gifted, could dribble, and scored amazing goals. That chip against Barcelona at Camp Nou-pure brilliance. A modern, tweaked box-to-box midfielder at his best.
