I think a mandolin slicer would do the job of the 1st and 3rd items here, but better. Get consistent cuts, sharper, and keep your fingers away from the blade with the separate grip piece that most mandolins come with.
I have a similar pan organizer works real well mounted inside a deep cabinet, wouldn't work in a shallow cabinet. Also good for storing multiple chop block.
That jar opener is supposed to help you grip better but it doesn't help add to your strength. I can't open any jar with my small hands. I agree he needed to use his weaker hand.
Great video! When we clicked on it it said 36 seconds ago,we were looking at ur channel,my partner and I,we’ve been checking like everyday, and we were so excited to see u posted!!
Personally , I would never open a jar with mostly fingertips , I would put it round horizontally and grip it that way, I know it won't go all the way around , but it should provide enough grip to open it
4:07 I'm surprised that they can use name MiniGrip and even have TM after that when there has already been product named MiniGrip many many years.
Cut Strips of the "Rubbery" shelf liner, the one with tiny holes, WORKS GREAT. I have these strips all over house, work, in car, suitcase, and my purse. I have had issues opening lids for over 25 years, before items like you shared were available. These strips work great for me because of pain and lack of ability to grip. The little gadget you demonstrated would be great for a key chain and I agree small lids. I can even use my left hand to open lids with this. Thank you. RKH
Instead of using the jar opener by putting it over the lid, try wrapping it around the edge of the lid instead. When I have trouble gripping a lid, I just put a wide elastic band around the lid and that gives me all the extra grip I need, so I figure this could work the same way. Instead of the SafeGrate, just use a cut glove instead. Those are much more useful and do not get in the way. They are also much safer and easier to clean. The pan organizer is OK, but I just hang my skillets on my kitchen wall or on the inside of my under counter cupboard doors. That way I keep the rest of my space for pots and other larger items.
best & cheapest jar and bottle opener: Plain ol' rubber band. Cost next to nothing, takes zero space, has multiple uses & reuses, no need for another "specialty" item to clog up the junk drawer. You're welcome.
The reason crinkle cuts have that shape is because of the invention of serrated mandolins. To make it back into a knife is to defeat the purpose lmao. "Lets give it the appearance of being efficient, without it actually being efficient!" "....my god, Derrick, this is your most devious sham yet."
I like the pan organizer for my few nonstick pans so the bottoms don’t scratch the next pan down. It definitely doesn’t save space, though. It’s good if you have a large set of pans and need one in the middle or bottom of the stack.
Why not use a fork to hold things while you slice or grate them? Would save money and space since you're already storing forks. I have a similar pan holder, but mine has very wide openings for holding pots. I have barely any storage in my kitchen and this was a total game changer! I can store 4 pots neatly and don't have to take all of them out every time to get the right pot. Also IDK if I'm using the word pot right... I call everything a pan 😅 But I'm talking about something you would cook soup in.
Hey James, As dumb as this sounds when gripping a knife you should pinch the top (dull) side of the blade with your index finger and thumb and the rest of your hand should grip the handle like normal (I would google what it looks like) . It will feel weird at first but it is more natural and will give you more leverage when cutting. The reason I bring this up is because I think the crinkle knife would work a lot better being held like that because you would get more leverage. Just a thought
Unless you're plan on putting the jar opener on a keychain, I'd just leave it off. Personally, I use those stretchy silicone bowl covers to open jars it works just fine and has a duel purpose.
The design of the crinkle cutter is wrong. It is a chopper not a knife. The handle (as you proved) should be more central. That said , if you use your other hand to push down on the other end to give even force it should work better.
The major problem with the mini jar opener is that you require 2 good hands . there is a much better solution and that is an under the counter award wining opener called Magic Twist.
The hardest container to open is a nacho cheese container, after you eat some and put the jar in the fridge. I have debated throwing it out but Nachos are gross without the cheese
you should do a video of As Seen on TV items Vs. TicTok/Viral Hacks. (I.E. Jar Opener Vs. Where you squeeze the lid with both palms to let air in... love the vids
SO instead of an handle, or using common sense.... you get metal shavings with your cheese? No thank you. And anybody who bought it is a likely candidate for the Darwin awards.
