How Usopp Casually SPOILED The End of One Piece 

I’d love at the end of the series Usopp goes back to syrup village all excited to tell Kaya all the stories from his adventure only to have her say “yeah you already told me that one before you left”

The fact that usopp lies is a lie, which is why he’s the most truthful liar

I think an underrated one is at the end of Skypia Usopp was selling rubber bands to the locals saying they were made of some magical material (passing it off as something it wasn’t), and then Luffy ended up not being a rubber man but a magical god-man

The scariest line I've ever seen, and I absolutely do not want to see it come true in this manner, is when Usopp said "Even if I were to die alone on a deserted island, I want to look proudly at myself and shout that I'm a brave warrior of the sea". I want him to become a brave warrior of the sea, but I do not want him to die alone.

My favorite Usopp theory by far is that by the end of the series he will have the strongest observation haki in the entire verse. The kicker is that Usopp has such insanely and unbelievably strong innate observation haki that without even realizing it he’s subconsciously using future sight not seconds, not minutes, not days, but literally YEARS into the future and he is repeating stories that his future sight is looking into without even knowing it.

Usopp just has the best future sight in the series, as a child he wasn't telling lies, he was seeing his future

His father has futuresight haki. The sniper Van Auger from Blackbeard's crew can now teleport. The only way Usopp could beat a teleporting sniper is if he knew where he was going to teleport to, with future sight. What if it turns out Usopp had the strongest observation haki in the series all along and when he lied he was just seeing different things around the world, or different things in the future?

Usopp isn't lying. His Observation Haki is so immense, he is just stating what his mind can already perceive.

I still think the reverse also applies: Usopp's one absolute truth, the thing he doesn't ever lie about, is that he's proud of his father. That'll be turned into a lie when they reunite in Elbaf and he is (briefly) ashamed of Yasopp for ditching the family and such.

Usopp always had observation haki and it’s so powerful he can see years in the future

usop is my second favorite character, the sole idea of a normal man wich represent all of us in a crew of geniuses and monsters, and still managing to hold his own is remarkable by itself. i will celebrate the day usop confirms to have become a great pirate of the sea it'll be a win for all of us, really!

I've been saying this for a while now, but Usopp has the most advanced observation haki. He's had future sight this whole time but doesn't understand what it is. It's why his lies aren't really lies. But since he never had a handle on it, he only got enough of a glimpse to know the broad strokes.

I really like Usopp's character. Its really a creative character that you wouldn't expect in an anime like this. This is why I love one piece

Here’s a theory. What if Usopp’s lies come true as a side effect of being in proximity to Luffy. Luffy and Chopper always believe Usopp’s lies! And what Luffy believes, as a side effect of his devil fruit, slowly but surely becomes reality, since his powers bend reality to match Luffy’s beliefs. Like how just eating meat restores your energy and drinking milk instantly heals your bones.

Is it possible that due to his lineage factor (He's Yasopp's kid, and likely a descendant of Noland) that he's not actually getting "lucky," with lying? That some ridiculous Observation Haki is allowing him to briefly "imagine," events that he thinks are lies but in reality he's seeing the future/talking about it? People that have seen Film RED will know why Yasopp being his father is important.

What if Usopp's lie manifestation is a by-product of his closeness to Luffy, friends of Luffy may have their own form of access to Nika's imagination manifestation, the whole point of the crew is to help each other achieve their dreams so it would align with Luffy's will to make his crew's dreams come true.

I 100% believe Usopp will be revealed to have some blood relation to Noland. There are so many direct comparisons: - Both are known for being liars yet both actually tell the truth - Both have visited Green Bit, with them both having a statue erected in their honour by the Tontattas - The Tontattas know him as Usoland the descendant of Noland (we know that Usopp's 'lies' always turn out to be true) - Both have funny noses - Noland was a botanist, and Usopp spent the two year time skip studying plants Many of the Straw Hats have inherited the will of some of the world's most legendary figures, and Usopp has 100% inherited the will of Noland, but I still think it goes a step further and Usopp is actually a descendant of Noland.

I don't think Usopp's lie about being the captain came true. A captain needs a crew that supports him, so i think that lie will come true at the end of the story. Nami can't make her map of the whole world in one go so i suspect that Usopp will be the captain that accompanies Nami on her journey. No longer pirates but explorers like Noland before him.

Usopp is always that guy who wants to know the ending before watching a movie.

i wish Usopp got more airtime in the new world. Sanji has gotten the most attention thus far - his background story in the east and then the whole cake island arc too. I demand more character development for Usopp!

Don't forget, Ussop hasn't just claimed to be a captain. He claimed to be the Straw Hat's captain. I wonder if this is setting up a Luffy dies at the end or retires at the end plotbeat where he appoints the brave warrior of the sea to be captain in his stead now that Luffy has accomplished his dream, to enable Usopp to accomplish his dream too

I really hope that the reveal that Usopp is a descendant of Noland actually happens in the story. Be a great moment to develop his character more if he finds out.

There's been speculation that when the Straw Hats get to Elbaf, Usopp will end up in a "battle of wits" with the kingdom's ruler, Loki. If true, I for one cannot wait to see what shenanigans arise from Usopp's truthful lies.

ah ... and at chapter 119 during little garden arc he said "even if someday i lose everything and face death at a deserted island ,i will die proud of the way i lived and i will say "IAM Ussop A brave warrior of the sea !!!!"." after reading that i always imagine Ussop during the finale battle stay behind at a deserted island to snipe and assist from a far and he would die there

i said this on a different video about usopp a while back so i'm just going to paste it here. what i love about usopp is techincally his dream has come true already. being brave does not mean being without fear. it means that despite that fear you face the situation ahead of you. his story isn't over but usopp is already a brave warrior of the sea. within the definition of brave it says to show courage. 'brave: adjective, ready to face and endure danger or pain; showing courage." Courage is "the ability to do something that frightens one." Usopp is a brave warrior of the sea.

It just came to me, after the final lie that Liam described( and I don't know if this has been said before ), but if devil fruits are made / created ( thr 1st time ) because of people's dreams / desires / aspirations, then what if by the end, as a flash forward or as a narrator box, we get a panel saying / showing the creation of a new Devil Fruit , the Mythical Zoan Type Hito Hito no MI: Model Usopp / God Usopp a d it's unique Mythical Zoan ability is making lies you say ( with a time delay depending depending on the lie, and only those that are not malicious in intent) Just a thought

Funny thing about Usopp is that he is the bravest strawhat cause even if he was shaking in fear and every part of his body tells to stop he eventually moves forward to face any danger that he fears. That is why he is bravest cause he is coward who is ready to fight or distract a god(Enel cause Usopp believed that he was a god at that time).

For the Usopp being Noland’s descendant bit: either a familial connection or inherited will thing is super likely, I agree!! And I think we’re gonna see our next Noland reference if and when we get to Elbaf because much like Aesop’s and Pinocchio’s influence on Usopp’s character, I firmly believe Oda used Gulliver’s travels as a basis for Noland the Liar. Tontatta = Lilliputians, Skypiea = Laputa, maybe even Celestial Bunglenuts = houyhnhnms but no doubt in my mind, the giants of Elbaf = Brobdingnagians and much like the Noland references in Skypiea and Dressrosa, I think we’ll find another accounting of our 400 year old would-be joy boy foil/parallel there. I kind of liked the scan translation about the "you'll die if you go to that island" disease. I took it as Crocus saying "I'll tell you what disease you have you have the, YOU'LL DIE IF YOU GO TO THAT ISLAND disease". It wasn't the actual name of the disease crocus was just trying to tell buggy that he was so sick that the journey to laughtale would probably kill him. The scans tend to be more enjoyable in the moment and the official translations are there for clarification. As a non-Japanese reader I have just resigned myself that Getting both the hype in the moment and having better translation for later analysis is helpful to get the full scope of the chapter though not necessary to enjoy the series

The shadows of Jaya could also have been made true when the straw hats fought gecko moria, because defeating the zombies is like defeating shadows. and usopp was actually the best at it because he could shoot salt into the mouths of the zombies.

what gets me about this is that by the end of the story, no matter what, two of the most dangerous men in all of recorded history will be bumbling idiots who can't help but succeed but in nearly directly opposite methods usopp through following luffy and then buggy through being dragged by seemingly everyone he has come into contact with at this point

I am always super interested to see what details and info Luffy takes note of. For me, it causes the reader to pay such close attention to Luffy and to hang on his every word in certain contexts. And then contrast it w the numerous times he says something dumb or silly, like asking if mermaids poop 😅 And that's a huge part of the appeal of OP imo. The blending of important, dramatic situations and details w silly, absurd interjections and stuff. Oda is masterful in how he handles these things and constructs his story. Love it 💯

Usopp is hilarious and you will quote everything he says.

Beating the 10 shadows could also mean he will beat 10 giants. Or we will be introduced to 10 silhouettes all of which after getting revealed, Usopp will be the one to defeat. I could accept both of those as lies becoming truths.

Usopp's observation Haki is so advanced that he uses it uncounciously to tell his lies/stories about the future that has not happened yet :)

Been watching One Piece all over again lately. And I just finished Thriller Bark. This inspired me to a theory of something that could happen near the very end involving Brook. Many think Law will perform the eternal youth surgery on Luffy using his devil fruit to save the future King of the Pirates. But what if Brook awakens his Revive Revive fruit powers to bring Luffy’s soul back to his body and revive him after suffering a fatal attack from Blackbeard or Imu.

Its not that he has a 4th unknown type of haki but the fact that he has observation haki where it is so strong that he is basically predicting the future events. Like how it would normally work for luffy in a battle, it is Usopp can see very far in the future but he doesn't know because it probably comes to him while he is sleeping in a dream.

I had a theory that the yeti brothers are in fact relevant being descendants of JoyBoy who was also yes, a yeti man. Mainly for the idea from them both wearing large hats that look kinda like straw hats and of course the icy straw hat found on mariejois

You forgot to mention his "lie" about playing with seastone when he arrived on skypiea. Depending on the translation he says he's really good with it. So I've just been waiting for a moment for him on Wano since we've been told it comes from here, but nothing. I'm still hopeful that he will make his own seastone bullets to counter devil fruits users eventually, so that he has the best observation haki and has the benefits of armor haki on his bullets \o/

I always thought about Buggy getting sick near Laugh Tale was something related to DFruits, since he was the only confirmed DF user, making it so Shanks would stay with him and non of them would know what's the secret But that'd go against Luffy getting there, unless Oda thought something around it

Crazy youre doing a video on this, just the other day i saw someone talking about this exact topic. I wish i could say i came up with this myself, but this someone was speculating that Ussopps lies arent lies, and its just his observation haki. His observation haki is so good, he can see years into the future and doesnt even realize it. Ill be it its far fetched, but it makes the most sens imo.

Maybe usopp's observation haki is so advanced that he can unintentionally see the future. He probably doesn't even realize this lol

Hey I have a theory that Ussop already ate a devil fruit, some Forest related fruit. At chapter 1061, StrawHats were attacked by Lilith's shark and were tossed to the ocean. There was a panel there where Ussop cannot swim. I also wonder why Ussop was sent to Boin Archipelago, and how does his seed weapons work, I just thought about some kind off devil fruit power. Faunus is a Greek God of the Forest known to foresee the future. It suits him well. He was also inspired by Pinocchio who was a wood puppet. And Ussop also told a lie wherein he suddenly had a disease preventing him from going to an island, this is foreshadowing to Laugh Tale.

a thought that came to me at 5:40 was the idea that kings tremble which i personally think could be at the celestial dragon place and his 8000 men could possibly be seen as the slaves following ussop to freedom idk though it came to me really quickly and sometimes it helps

The 10 shadows of Jaya could be the ten titanics captains. Jaya was when we were introduced to Blackbeard. Just for fun: I’m picturing it’s the end of the war. All battles have been fought. Luffy defeated Blackbeard but as a last ditch effort, BB calls upon his entire crew even though they’ve all been defeated. Luffy standing in front of blackbeards crew like whitebeard and the ten titans about to shoot him but Usopp unlocks conquerors haki and knocks them all out.

I think the one about 8.000 followers fit better with the Grand Fleet (which are under all of the Straw Hats, not just Luffy. And exists primarily due to Usopp) instead of the citizens of Dressrosa. And Usopp is in fact slowly becoming Noland, with his pop green garden on the Sunny he is also a botanist just like Noland.

So what if ussop is just seeing his farther adventures, a battle with shanks and the others via his dad's eyes through future sight?

Usopp never lied, he just have the Worlds most powerful Observation Haki, that can literally see years into the future. I always believed Luffy, Zoro, Sanji and Usopp would end up having Conquerors Haki, Luffy and Zoro has it now, so now it's just Sanji and Usopp missing, and I think they will awaken it in the fight with the Red Haired Pirates. Yes Straw Hats and Red Haired are friends even family, but also rivals, and the crews' ambitions stands above their friend/kinship, and they all know this. I guarantee it's gonna be the epic pinnacle of One Piece. All hail God Usopp.

Just had an idea that would round his character out. What if not for all his lies and bluster when it comes down to the crucial moment in the final battle when all the chips are down he is able to rally all of the allies vs the world government through some grandiose speech about being a captain who is the king of snipers with a ton of followers maybe even a display of "conquerors haki". finished off with him declaring there is only one King of the pirates Luffy! bringing his character full circle where he practically faked it until he really made it!! I'm a little worried that Usopp's "Great Warrior of the Sea" will come true via his death. I can't even exactly say why, just that I feel like if anyone is actually going to die at the end it won't be Luffy or Zoro, it'll be Usopp.
