I'm a fan. I won't unsub or anything, and I'm anti-PUFA. In fact, when I went off PUFA, my migraines ended. I was so carb-addicted that I couldn't go off carbs - even though I'd seen a close family member lose weight and heal on keto. But with migraines gone, I realized I had to - still took me months to do it - to go keto. I'm now carnivore. My t2 diabetes is in remission. I'm no longer obese and in size 34 jeans - 2 yrs ago it was 44" waist jeans. I can sprint - fast - and I'm not young. I feel great, sleep well, and have no more brain fog. In fact, I'd argue I have more energy than I did at 20. So, when I went off PUFA, my migraines ended...but nothing else changed. I was still eating carbs, and if anything I gained a few more pounds. I can't recall when my blood tests were done, but I'm pretty sure I was still high-blood-sugar - i.e. diabetic. I still felt awful for the most part, except no migraines. That was great. But being off pufa and still eating carbs - I was still dying. So I finally went keto, and then my overall inflammation - I had a puffy face from it - subsided and went away. Joint pain and other inflammation-caused aches subsided and are largely gone. Heels so dry they cracked deeply and bled - risked infection - the skin there was hard and weird and sharp - and abraded holes in my bedsheets - that cleared up quickly. As I said, my diabetes quickly went into remission. Slept better. Much better. I was happier. I couldn't remember being this happy. All sorts of other things - gums almost don't bleed when I floss, which is interesting. Many other health issues got better - NOT on pufa removal alone. The good stuff kicked in only when I went keto, and it was strict keto. And of course I was still off the pufa. It was both, but the big impact came in with I cut the carbs. The bread and so on, and the only plant food I ate was some veg, berries, avocado, evoo, black pepper, coffee and herbs. You really shouldn't do videos like this, for so many different reasons. I'm not a Pacific Islander. They can live on sweet potatoes: I won't and can't. First, they aren't metabolically sick like I was. Also, I may not have the genes they have. Also, you're neglecting the Randle Cycle and potentially hurting people with bad suggestions, inferences and advice in this video. It's not that carbs are somehow magical because south seas islanders live on sweet potatoes. To keep from getting metabolic syndrome, you either go LCHF or HCLF - NOT high fat high carb. Not even medium fat medium carb. That's death. Visit Prof Bart Kay's "fine fine" YT channel to learn why. You can't isolate and be this reductionist - and I'd argue you actually are being reductionist in a misleading way in this video. Sorry. I still like you, but pull this video down - it's crap. Sorry, but this is absolutely the case. And I want to help you by ... well, sometimes we must be cruel, if only to be kind, as the old saying goes. Also, did you mention anywhere that this isn't medical advice? You probably should, though I'm not a doctor - and I'm not a lawyer - and nothing I say should be taken as medical or legal advice. Double-check anything I say with an appropriate, licensed lawyer or doctor, if it touches on medicine or law. Your effort here falls very short. There's no control on the data you present. Now sure, up above I'm all gaga over my n=1, but that's what I experienced and experience. It's my body and my health - so yes, I care about it - and people should doubt me and check up on this appropriately. But a good deal of what you're reporting on is also anecdotal - some of it looks cherry picked - and on so, so many points allows for many other explanations. This is not anything close to controlled science, that you're presenting. And you kind of infer that maybe it is - and that's .. please don't do that. Look, I do like you. It hurts to write this. Please consider what I've said. Dr. Knobbe makes similar mistkaes. I like him a lot, but I cringe when he insists "it isn't the sugar" ... and he's dead wrong. He shows graphs showing sugar and carb consumption declines with increasing health problems - and argues it's the pufa not sugar. But his graphs are not complete - his sugar info is just sucrose and does not include high fructose corn syrup and other crap like that. He doesn't seem to grasp his error. Also his pufa intake graphs vary and do not perfectly correlate with the increases in health probs. You don't quite make that error, thank goodness, but you two are both making similar mistakes. It is the carbs and sugar - AND the pufa. Eliminate it ALL. As much as you can - or at least I have and I'm happy - and healthy. Sigh. I hope you take this well, if you even read it. I'm not your enemy. I intend this to help. But I have to be firm - also, why risk alienating keto people and carnivores??? We're your allies. What you're saying in this video is not deeply or well explained by you - and very much risks ticking us off - and I bet people have unsubbed. You're a good guy and an ally ... but again, why do this? Look at what you risk losing versus the nothing you gain (because your reasoning is faulty, here - your main conclusion is wrong). Good luck

Thank you for this logical explanation. I agree there is no reason to keep eating industrial seed oils. I lost all my excess fat on a pure carnivore diet (meat with saturated fat). But it's quite possible that eliminating seed oils is what made this work.

Carnivore worked great for me for 10 months. Lost weight and felt super. Then things reversed. I started to feel like I had a constant sugar let down. So I became all the more strict. Went from 95% animal food to 100% and my symptoms got worse. I am now rethinking my diet and am including some fruit iow, some carbs a la Dr. Saladino suggestion. I hope will work. My doctor told me that in the long run, carnivore will cause diabetes. I guess the body does need more carbs than the carnivore community believes, and so it has to be made from protein and fat. This causes stress and thus the body is constantly flooded with cortisol which will damage the liver....

@@Gesundheit888Yep. All keto Carnivore people will eventually end up in this situation. Also you didn't mention this but peoples hormones also tank on low carb. Testosterone etc. Things you don't want low.

I'd be a willing participant in any study. In March 2022 I was diagnosed with morbid obesity, Type 2 Diabetes, dyslipidemia and hypertension. I did some research, threw away the prescriptions and embarked upon a low carb, high fat lifestyle. I also threw out all the seed oils and switched to frying in lard, beef Dripping or coconut oil. My nutrition is very high in omega 3 fats via lots of smoked mackerel. Fast food takeaways, prepared with seed oils, are completely banned. 16 months in and my weight has dropped from 133kg to 93kg. @Gesundheit888
@Gesundheit888 6 месяцев назад
@@davidiglesias9549That seems to be true. I am just finding that out. I've reintroduced carbs in the form of fresh and dried fruit into my diet. I was very strict carnivore but these last two months I noticed that I am not feeling well. I seem to have sugar let downs event though I ate no carbs. Strict carnivore in the long run will make you diabetic. Odd!! But it's true, because the body is constantly under stress by having to make sugar from fat and protein, and that stress produces an overdose of cortisol.

Very interesting and probably explains why I lose so much weight when I travel abroad. I do know about the health risks of seed oil consumption but was not aware that omega-6 can increase endocannabinoids. Doesn't bovine A1 beta-casein, but not the alternative A2 beta-casein, also release beta-casomorphin-7, which activates μ-opioid receptors expressed throughout the gastrointestinal tract and body?

CICO is non-sense. It's completely ignoring lots of metabolic system functions that are clearly there. There is only a very lose correlation between the number of "calories" you put in your mouth and the fat/weight you gain. But if you agree that appetite is a problem, maybe you should have listened to this presentation and noticed that linoleic acid increases appetite.

If we're going to do better, then relying on the same freaking fear inducing propaganda needs to stop! It actually pains me to see how this brand is just using the same strategy as the big corporations that fucked us all up to begin with: numbers, promises of good health with new breaking key points that avoid facing the core issue here: accountability. The environmental factor should be the main selling point here and the fact that it isn't shows me that the huge price tag presented to consumers now won't change. Because if environmental issues were the main focus, then it would be a priority to make this product accessible in order to tackle other vegetable oils market on a big scale. Instead, this campaign clearly targets people with enough money to pick "luxury" healthier products, with the benefit of good consciousness whereas people with tight budget won't have access to that alternative. So yeah, amazing science, but same old spirit behind it.

You do not need to break the bank to eat healthy. I was about 165lbs most of my life after college. Not a whole lot of muscle tone. For the last two years I basically eat the same thing every work day. 3 eggs and 2-3 strips of bacon for lunch. For dinner I have a turkey, cheese, spinach, and mustard sandwich, a piece of fruit the size of an apple or smaller, a small side of carrots, and a side of something salty like a bit of peanuts or popcorn. Add all this up and you will see that it’s accessible to pretty much every budget. I got from 165 to 150 in no time and then went to about 145 where I hovered for a while. Now I’m at 136 and I can see my abs for the first time in my life. I eat literally whatever I want on weekends. Junk food, pizza, wings, ice cream. It doesn’t matter as long as you can be disciplined during the week.
