Our offices have 2 layers of insulation applied to the walls and the ceiling. One layer is spray foam insulation and one layer is R-12 pink batt insulation, which ensures a temperature-controlled environment. So build one. Containers are easy to work with (study MUCH more than RU-vid videos). Containers are useful niche shells for industrial and military uses and make great shops but for living space unless you're already a skilled DIYer a trailer or RV is usually the better bet.

Are these durable during harsh winters? What's the expected lifetime?

@zollendar Yes, container offices are extremely durable and hold up well in any climate. They will not bend or shift under the weight of heavy snow. Because shipping containers are made from steel, they are much stronger and more durable compared to mobile wood-frame offices.

The little 20 foot standard height style are often handy but if you have room to place it a 40-foot High Cube offers considerably more room for not much more money. Before buying do walk inside some bare containers and bring a measuring tape to know rather than guess what will work for you.
