As a construction worker living in the midwest, a good winter hoodie is a must. I'd recommend you offer bigger sizes (5XL) as layers are often worn underneath when working outdoor for long periods of time. I'd also suggest that you'd probably get a few more sales if you offered a full zip up hoodie. Sometimes you have to take off or add layers quickly depending on the weather. And when making those quick runs to the porta potty, having easier access would be a big plus.
That is a good idea, I probably own 25bor more Carhartt hoodies zip and pullover styles. I wear both but sometimes prefer zip up to shed a layer quickly. I want to try this hoodie!!
I am a textile eng, and have been working in knit plants since 83'. Studied it in college, worked for some very good R&D guys. I am currently a GM of an American owned textile plant located in Honduras. Making fleece, jersey, ribs etc fabrics for many brands. Inexpensive, mass high volume stuff mostly. I did make some higher end also, and started in the US before NAFTA & CAFTA. The Heavy, is well thought out and crafted with quality & use in the forefront. Made on the same equipment we use, same yarn sources, dyes, chems, etc. The difference is ownwrship,s mentality. Quality people and their mind set. Love to see what you guys are doing. Really proud of you. Keep going.
Origin is one of the few companies in the world that legit cares about their customers. Imagine buying a pair of American Eagle jeans that was slapped together in China, meanwhile skilled American hands put together everything in Origin. It's so worth the price, and the quality speaks for itself.
@@andrewsonSsdd you’re that guy. their point is even iPhone should be making their products here. That goes for all American products. Literally saying they wouldn’t mind paying extra to have that. Hope you find peace one day so you don’t have to comb the internet to find the smallest things to lash out at just to feed your misery…Love & gratitude my friend, I believe in you
3D! That's how you have to think about it. You're turning flat pieces of cloth into something that is shaped. It's beautiful! I'm studying tailoring right now and seeing the work you guys do is really motivating. So much thought, care, and effort is going into this, and it should. Awesome work!
Heard about your Heavy hoodie from Bear Independent who was highly recommending the one he has been wearing. Glad to hear the details of the construction of it. Thank you. Blessings!
So far all the products I've purchased have been impressive. I love the jeans! I'll be getting a couple of these hoodies for sure. Best part is there close to home and I love shopping local.... Lol
Not true. A solid band can stretch, but it cannot perform an accordion articulation. The accordion-style fabric they sew in stretches at each segment, likely to keep the fabric more durable over time. Over-stating? Sure. Double-speak? Nah.
Maine-Ty and Pete, you fellas are looking good in those hoodies! Don't tell Jocko that these are stylish, otherwise he might not approve.. Great videos, your giving Echo a run for his money in the content quality. Keep it up. I need one of these for when I'm cruising!
@@KeweenawPatriot I got one of their hoodies on sale for 30 bucks 8 years ago. Fabric is still thick(repelling all but heavy downpours), warm and durable. Best 30 bucks I've spent.
You and Jocko had me lazer focused in that last podcast. You can hear the passion, the history, the desire to make a great product. And now seeing this. Dang, I believe the Hoodie bar has been raised, a lot. Personally I have about 3 hoodies that I love, yet never use, for the reasons you mention. Get these up here to Canada ASAP, tis the season. :D
Thinking of giving your heavy duty hoodie a try. Do you have any heavy weight hoodies with exterior pockets for water bottles and or other large pocket for other items?
I need one in both colors!! I looked into it I seen the price but if it’s everything you guys say it is it’s completely worth it. I’m definitely gonna buy one in the near future
Guys when is this coming back in stock? I need 5 for me and my guys at work and im ready! added to the Wishlist and appreciate how much detail you've put into it
FYI filson makes a merino 400gr full zip hoodie, they also make an anorak pullover in 24oz mackinaw wool. And a full zip 24oz mackinaw hoodie with tin cloth over the hood and shoulders. I own all three, they are effing awesome. Very spendy but worth it.
@@Heywoodthepeckerwood oh snap! I’ll definitely check those out. Thanks for that. I ordered 2 of these origins hoodies and they’re easily my favourite so far.
First off like the other guy said “I just watched a 7 min video on a hoodie” lol But it was worth it, you did a great job explaining it as well as selling it. One thing next time give us the models and your height, weight, and what size clothes you guys have on. So it’s easier for us to buy online and you guys have fewer returns. Great video and I’m sure the hoodie is fantastic. I’ll look into buying after I send this comment off. ✊🏽🇺🇸💙
I was looking into the bear skin tactical 2.0, but I’ve seen this on RU-vid and now it has my attention. Do any stores nearby sell this anywhere so I could try it on before I buy it?
I love all your guy's products. I just a got a question, when are you going to make jeans in a size 28 for us skinnier guys? its hard to find jeans that are our waist size.
Was contemplating the Baerskin hoodie (made in China) but happened across this video. Watched it front to finish. Going to originmaine to order mine now. Great marketing, guys. No fluff. Just pride and facts. Can't wait to try it on.
How long can I wear it here in the Pacific Northwest raining before my head get wet? An hour is good, 2 would be great, but it needs to dry out without hitting the dryer to be good in my book.
lols its a $125 sweatshirt. Just get some real rain gear. I live on the coast and I would not spend this kind of money for sweatshirt. The whole JJ crowd chiming in is a huge turn off for me as well. These dudes over hype themselves way to much. Throw me this shit for max of $75 and I will think about it. Columbia, Northface, Patagonia, can all be bought for less then $50. I have like 5 that are in amazing shape and made with half ass panels.
@@sammallory I have a North Face and Patagonia, both larges and they are super tight and not much stretch for 70$, the only one I like is Arc'teryx but for 120$ because it stretched and the hood actually fits over my big ass head lol. This one might be worth getting 🤔
I work in a meat cutting room and clean all the machines and am looking for something that will keep me warm and dry because I have spraying water and chemicals everywhere. are the wrists pretty tight? I always have issues with the wrist bands stretching to much I like them somewhat tight
So, the cuffs don’t have thumb loops? Cutting firewood is dusty, I would want a fabric that doesn’t grab every saw dust particle that i spray at it. I have a hoodie that has a silky liner in the hood and its awesome.
Is there any plans on venturing into the hunting clothing space? Your attention to detail and usability would be perfect for backpack hunting and avid outdoorsmen.
His presentation is so impeccable.. He can sell a GUN, TANK, BOMB, DAGGER, HOME APPLIANCES , BIKE ...like literally anything 😂👍👍😎 with those hand movements and his heavy voice
Do you guys sell stuff at a storefront in Farmington? I’m gonna be driving through the town this week and I’m planning on buying a few items if possible! Please let me know
Just bought 3 zip ups and 2 regular hoodies for myself and the guys thay work for me. Getting them embroidered and printed soon. Gotta take care of the boys.
Its really beautiful I can tell is very good quality when you all get it back in I differently I will buy one Navy my favorite color I love wearing men hoddies am a big bone woman
Now I respect what it is you are doing and all. I want the hoodie for sure. I am curious as to the price point as I would spend the 128 for the delta jeans but I cannot justify the 124 for the item I most desire. 80 bucks I am all in. For two hundred I will buy both the jeans and the hoodie but I simply cannot afford both for 252 bucks. Times are just too hard for that kind of support for your company. I am splurging at two hundred bucks because I have saved money on hand and would love to be a customer just because of my love for what you are doing. I simply tap out at 124 dollars for a hoodie unless it is waterproof and camo and silent for hunting.
I'm really digging it. But one thing about a hoodie that sells it to me is whether the hood itself looks cool or not. I cant seem to find any camera angles that show me me that. It's all focused on the snap assembly in the front and not the head with the hood over it.
I'll get one. Expensive? Sure but not overly expensive. And I'm proud to purchase something American designed, and manufactured. When you work hard, and buy something of quality, you tend to take much better care of it, even if it's a "work duty" item, putting in the rough hours right there with ya. I had 1 hoodie, last me 20 years. I loved it, and miss it. But, I think I just found a new one. :)
