Fermenting chicken feed allows the chickens to digest the feed easier and also saves you money by using less feed. I show you an easy and simple way to do this your self. Try it and see if your chickens approve.

I love your kindness to animals. Thanks for walking us thru the fermenting process. I'm going to try it.

Thanks for the demonstration. Here, we don't drain the water. We use it. Infact the chickens drink it directly.

Learning a lot! I’m betting beautiful mom Minnie (sorry I know the topic is about chicken/food) is warm and comfy with three little puppies enjoying a nice milk lunch! The never ending milk tab! Nothing much is more precious than that! 💕x

Look at those three little dumplings. So healthy - thriving! Bet the chickens appreciate the grain tweak. "Activated" grains are very beneficial, increased nutrition and digestion absorption. Honestly not having a go, just wondering why Moose is tied up? I'm sure there is a good reason.

They are doing great and growing quick. He's tied up because we don't have a fence yet. He does get to run free regularly, tho.

@@sohappytogaylor Thank you for your gracious reply 🙏 Sorry, I didn't notice you didn't have a fence, they sure are costly and a big job. Moose having his run would be a nice video to see. Just an idea, I'm sure you have enough to do. Thank you for sharing your home and lifestyle. ❤

A strainer would be a lot quicker an more efficient. Also, FYI. Fermenting feed in the winter months is no good. It hurts the chickens more then doing them any good. I make my own mix 50%whole corn 25% all flock pellets 10% 5-grain scratch 5% sunflower seeds that’s my ratio. For the cold months. They need more crude fat

What makes fermented feed bad for the chickens in the winter?
