I’m Lima Orn, a Christian in Cambodia 🇰🇭. I appreciate your help so much. I really want your transcript of this video to help me more understanding so that I can help the others understand the Bible’s history better. Blessings 🙏
What is so telling, is the effort to preserve and convey the truth vs the effort to deny and shut it down. If the Bible did not contain God's word, there would be no fight against it.
@@brokenrecord3095 I think what they mean is such a coordinated attack against it from the Powers that be for such a long period of time. Racism is accepted as normal in the East. Practically required to be Asian. So, there isn't a global 3,ooo yr coordinated attack against racism. Its a an issue of degree & consistency.
Right, because people would NEVER fight against corruption, deception, and fraud. According to your mindset, no one would ever fight against anything bad, they would only fight against the good. What kind of sick mind do you live in?
No matter how challenging the path may seem, have faith that God is guiding your steps. With Him leading the way, you can overcome any obstacle that lies ahead. Amen.
This is such a great job thank you . We could see God throughout history using people on different ages continents languages and eras to bring his message to humanity.Having the Bible in our hands today and be able to read it is such a miracle by itself.
Truly to be thankful ,I was waiting to know of how we got the BIBLE N THE JOURNEY THE WORD OF GOD HAD TO GO THROUGH TO REACH US. JUST CAN'T THANK GOD ENOUGH 🙏
I think of the scriptures like a masterpiece painting. If you look up really close to the painting, you just see splotches and blobs of paint, but if you stand back you see the beautiful masterpiece. If you look really close at the words of the bible, you might 'splotches and blobs' of words, mistakes or miss-translations, but when you stand back and look at the scriptures as a whole, you just see a beautiful image of Jesus.
This is the most comprehensive video I've ever watched about the history of the Bible. Ìt is truly a blessing and has helped me to appreciate my Bible a whole lot more. The bit at the end about the symbols etc was a real eye opener. Thank you very much for all your effort in putting together this invaluable information. God bless you richly.
I learned more about how the Bible came about with this video than I have ever known in my entire life. This is one of those that will have to be watched many times. So much information in these words.
This was fabulous. It makes me cry to think of how blessed we are, among all the people of history, to have the scriptures at our fingertips. My 10th great grandfather, John Robinson (1575-1625) was a theologian (and father of the Pilgrims) who studied the scriptures extensively. He believed the Lord had more to say to mankind, and that it would be given in America. Your lesson has made me appreciate the text he studied.
I lived in northern Italy and Sicily in 1981. I think it was in Sicily that I was told by Catholic women that the church didn’t allow them to read the Bible themselves. They also had to buy things from the church in celebration of different holidays or they’d lose their salvation. It took years for young couples to save up to be married in the Catholic Church b/c even a simple ceremony was so expensive & the people in this area were poor. I’m not trying to criticize the Catholic Church; I imagine it’s changed by now (and I doubt it was like that in other countries and areas back then). But the mention, in this video, of how common ppl weren’t allowed to read the Bible brought these memories back.
Interesting comment. Those women, however, we're commenting on local marriage customs, not requirements of the Catholic Church, which, truth be told, eschews so much of the pomp and circumstance of modern weddings. Normative marriage in the Catholic Church requires a priest and the couple. Period. The only cost would be a "stipend" to the priest--to the laborer go the wages (1 Tim 5:18). In a serious pinch, the man and woman can marry each other (as in "Braveheart"), since they are the ministers as well as the matter of the Sacrament. The priest is actually the Church's witness.)
The few handwritten Bibles in those years would cost the people their lifetime earnings, and many people of those ages do not know how to read and write. Opening the Bible to laymen brought us 8000 plus Christian denominations who don’t agree on few words or passages. Giving every John and Doe the Bible was like opening the door to the Tower of Babel, we are talking of the same book but we don’t understand each other. Everyone who had read the fruit of the tree (the Book) thought he has learned how God works and think. Men of Pride. We don’t know how much more were unpublished in the old copies of Didache (the writings that preceded the Bible that we know today); they are in the libraries of many monasteries under Catholic Parishes and out of reach to just any Peter and John. This fact escaped those who claims ‘sola scriptura’ as the sole basis of their Christian faith.
@@yanayoriginals8498 thank you for the information. I recently learned that there are actually 45,000 Christian denominations worldwide, and rapidly growing as groups break off from the churches they’re attending b/c they don’t agree w how that pastor is interpreting the Bible - so they start their own church. That number doesn’t include all the “house churches” that are springing up everywhere. I’m grateful to have been led to the missionaries over 40 yrs ago and how that has blessed my life. I love that I can attend church anywhere in the world and the doctrines taught are the same wherever I go.
The Catholic church is the whore of Babylon fulfilling Daniel 7:25. The Protestant churches are her daughters. There is only one true Church and its members are described in rev 14:12.
Thank you for this. I've learnt so much and have greater appreciation for the bible and how it reached even my country in Africa kenya 🇰🇪 🙏. I am so humbled by the history of the bible. It was not an accident. Its not a white man's book...it's a true historical account of God's words.
Wishing you many blessings and fruitful live. Our Father created all souls. We come here in flesh bodies. He created ALL races and declared "And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day."
What a wonderful gift! I cannot imagine the time and research that went into this presentation. I'm going to have to watch it again and again! I love the KJV of the Bible, and this will help me appreciate it even more. Thank you.

Wonderful job of concisely presenting a very long and sometimes complicated history. What a great gift to all mankind the Bible is! Truly we have it-- bathed in blood and tears!
Awesome! Glad you enjoyed it! And hey, if you'd like a little "linguistic nerd" dessert, check out this article that was just published by Jon's father in-law (Calvin Tolman) [you might recognize the narrator]: journal.interpreterfoundation.org/liahona-prepared-of-the-lord-a-compass/#more-54952
I really enjoyed this documentary. It was so interesting to learn about the different translations and their origins. An excellent production. Thanks so much for sharing this. Well done!
I am so excited to come across this Lil gem...Feeling blessed 🙂 Where have i been .... Everywhere yet nowhere at the same...I've woken from some sleep state of being...
This is God proving to us that no one can fight against God and win ,God is indeed in control of everything on the earth thanks . The Bible is the book of Life indeed thanks
I am so amazed at the in-depth work that has gone into this wonderful experience of learning of how the Bible came about and how the Lord’s hand in it coming to the common people and not just in church and clergy setting. I can tell that a lot of prayer and fasting helps brought this to us. Thank you for time talent and knowledge. I will be listening many more times to deepen my knowledge understanding and love of the Bible. This is so awesome with our study of the Bible this year.
John14:6 Jesus said unto him I'm the way the truth and the life only way to the father is thru me. The Gospel death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ paid for are sins that we may be righteous enough to be in the presence of God thru faith alone not of works. John3;16 Eph.2;8,9 Harpoza soon
This is marvelous docummentary on the Bible the word of the living God. Thank you dear brothers for making this available to the children of God. May God bless you abundantly.
Thank you so much, this was so inspiring and educational. I am actually edified by the fact that God hasn’t seemed too concerned about us having the exact words correctly transmitted down the generations. I feel like it demonstrates that God trusts us to figure things out and besides, his voice is always available for those who seek it. The specific words in the Bible are not as important as the continuing guidance and education through his spirit.
GLORY be to The ALMIGHTY DADDYGOD-JESUS for The Hebrews and for HIS WORD for us. The HOLY BIBLE is My MOST Ultimate Love in Parity With My Darling JESUS!!! The HOLY BIBLE is JESUS CHRIST!!!
I am Zimbabwean and my language is SHONA.. I always wondered why the book ok James in SHONA was Jakobho (Jacob)😅...l now understand thank you for this study..... I pray that i would be able to sudy more on this and teach others ❤.. May the Lord Bless you all😊
This history of the bible has incredibly been tried, and tested with fire and proven true - particularly as it relates to the many translations and the many lives that were sacrificed to help bring the word of salvation, to peoples of the world. It would seem then, that in light of the pressing of the word of God , and the intense oppositions and sacrifices of human lives that gave birth to what we have today ; the revelation of the word of God by the Holy Spirit is not only imperative but is extremely important . For indeed, if there seems to be any lack, error or deliberate misgivings regarding bible , the Spirit of Jesus Christ is more than able reveal the Truth of God to those who seek Him. I find this portion of history of the bible most interesting, informative and stirring . Thank you.

Enjoying and learning much! Thank you! Makes me appreciate the copies of the Bible I am privileged to own. God's hand through godly people to preserve the Word and get these translations to the nations and to our time. Is another of God's wonders.
I guess. With translation errors and certain people putting in and taking out what they see fit based on their own agendas and biases, we need to Take that in account as believers. We are not a cult, so we shouldn't act like a cult when it comes to the scriptures. We should worship God, and not the book.
I have been studying this area a long time. You really did an EXCELLENT job!! Thank you!! Great resources!! Great format!! By the way years ago I did buy the Thomas Matthew Bible from the site you referenced. They did a great job on this Bible. I felt blessed to have one. I believe that seeing all these Bibles come forth answers the question, "....as long as it is translated correctly." Years ago I used to wonder how that statement could be made. So I studied it. Thank you Brother!
Wow - that sounds amazing. I am growing a pretty good collection so far but I'm looking forward to more in the future. I'm glad you liked the presentation. The more we studied the more exciting things there were to find. It's a rich subject. The more you learn, the easier it is to see the Lord's hand in this work.
Those great men of God did a great job of translation of the Bible into our languages. Had they not translated it we would have not having the Bible in our hands. Wonderful and excellent work.
Great stuff! I just recently realized that twice in the Israelite history the entire OT was completely lost! Remember when Josiah was king, starting at the age of 6 or so. He was a good king. He paid to have the Jewish temple renovated and a copy of the Law was found. Maybe just the book of Deuteronomy, I'm still researching. The other time (and there may be more) was when Ezra returned to help rebuild the temple after the Babylonian captivity. I just assumed someone grabbed the scrolls and took them to Babylon. Wrong. So Ezra prayed and fasted, asking God to reveal the first 5 books to him (or maybe just the book of Moses) and he took 70, or maybe 72 scribes with him and they wrote as he was given the words by God directly (he channeled) in Hebrew. Then he read it to all the people as they stood all day to hear it. They then kept the passover for the first time in 70 years. Now all this history is difficult to find as is has been rewritten to suit their own agenda (the jews). My point is that some funny stuff was done to the OT well into the NT times in order to justify the jewish insistence that Jesus was not the Messiah. Ezra and Nehemiah may have actually been the last of the writing of the prophets, yet they are positioned at the start of the prophet's section. Why? We know from the Rabbi's that the calender was deliberately altered by 160 years. That information can be found in the non-canonical book called the Seder Olam. I didn't hear you mention any of this. My point is that the history of the Israelites and their holy books is more interesting and has more intriguing twists and turns than any mystery novel ever written! The more stuff I find, the more I realize how important these writing must be, otherwise there wouldn't have been so much effort made to throw truth seekers off the path. Another example of deliberate detours away from the truth is how the actual location of Mt. Sinai has been hidden. This just makes me desire the truth of the Word even more!
I will replay this over and over. I am very impressed with the research that you have translated into a wonderful presentation for all of us. Technology has allowed us to enjoy your talents and blessed skills. I am thankful for your work.
This! So awesome. I was about to sign up for an online class on how the bible came to be but I feel this information is sufficient to understand the bigger picture of God's word for now. I love the comparison at the end of the scriptures to sheet music. That resonated with me. Thanks so much for the thoughtful insights. What a treasure! I'll be revisiting this lecture!
I love the KJV. The current day translators have been convinced that the dubious manuscripts, both "found" in the possession of Catholic libraries are more accurate than that which has survived them. The Codex Vaticanus ("found" in the Vatican Library) and the Codex Sinaiticus ("found" in a Catholic monastery) are held up as "more ancient" and therefore, better than the manuscripts used to create the King James Bible. Nobody can prove that either of these are "more ancient" than the Textus Receptus (KJV source text) but they assume that they are. No one can prove that these errant texts (and they are indeed errant) are more accurate than the Textus Receptus. If anything, these "found codices" are of Gnostic origin because they tend to minimize and erase the divinity of Christ. So, even if they are older (which they are not) they have an agenda inconsistent with the doctrine of Christ. Whosoever transgresseth and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ hath not God.
Thank you :) this is an awesome and quite a detailed and extensive teaching resource (including the links and bibliography & notes as well is so helpful!!) for a layperson to utilize in order to learn and understand the history of just how GODs (יהוה )hand (All praise to The Most HIGH YHWH!!) placed HIS WORD (this is HIS story after all ❤) in a format so that HIS children (HIS lost sheep) would be able to have the instructions we need so that we are properly equipped to travel life’s path. HE has chronologically throughout history made sure that we had the instructions since Adam and Eve left the garden hasn’t HE? Such a kind, clever, merciful and loving CREATOR that we serve. May YAH bless and keep you for helping to share this invaluable knowledge with others ❤
Rarely do I EVER view and listen to any video like this one. But believe it, I was glued to me chair. For it is the best narrative and music I have EVER heard. WOW! I'm going to view it again. WOW! I said all that to say this: While your historical video was great and I assume mostly true, I believe you left out one of the most things; you could've ever said. And that is this: Any wise bible scholar will tell you; that any translation from one language to another; IS going to have mistakes. Worse: it causes Miss- understandings. There is NO way to stop it. So, when one translate's Hebrew to Aramaic to Greek and to early English; there is NO way in the world all readers are not going to believe things that are lies. Oh indeed. The proof... And I believe that is why the WEB says; that there are 45,000 "denominations"; that all say, "We are right and the others are wrong. And WE got ours from the bible!". Yeah right! So sad! Thus: even though you did an incredible video; you left out the imporant truth's mentioned above. Believe it or not. End of Story and I rest me case... In any case kind Brethren Pray OFTEN and Praise Jesus OFTEN; for He is the ONLY true "God Almighty"; there will ever have been. And may Jesus bless you and yours always. AMEN!
There are few points or keys in the Bible I'll like to point out. (1) Revelations: 14:6 Angel flying in heaven with the Everlasting gospel, (2) Deut 30:1-5 The gathering of the Israelites after the Scattering. (3)1 Peter 3:19-20 The preaching of the Gospel to those who are dead since Christ died for the living and the dead also. (4)1 Thess 15:29, For the spirit that are accepted the gospel in the Spirit Prison will have a chance like if they were still alive. (5) The spirit who'd repenting in the Spirit Prison would have a chance to be baptized represented by their relatives or someone who is alive. (6) Malachi 4:5-6, Prophet Elijah will come again to seal the children to parents and parents to their children. With almost 50,000 religions coming out of the same Bible, there's ONE and ONLY ONE religion among these religions who's preached and practiced all these ordinances according to the Bible.
Great video. Why no mention of the Ethiopian BIBLE. it's the most complete by (book count 88) and the oldest on the planet by nearly 1000 years (800 years).
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. - 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (ESV)
The only "scripture" that St. Paul was aware of was the writings that we now call the Old Testament, and yes, it still is "profitable". Profitable means useful.
God is a great God. He is able to protect his word. Haven’t you noticed that two faithful Cristians can read the same verse and yet get a different but truthful lesson from the same verse. I’m sure I’ve heard at least 10 different sermons of the prodigal son. Each lesson was beneficial, and offered a lesson that did not offend the scripture used for the sermon. God protects his Word. He will use it to teach each believer what he needs to know for his life as it was at that time.
Thank you so much for your in depth information!! It amazes me how much Heavenly Father has done to share His word with us and how many people have sacrificed so much for the sharing of truth. It’s so sad how many of us either totally dismiss this or just ignore the truth. This is a great reminder as we start our study of the Old Testament!
Would you consider posting the actual transcript of the slides? I would like to read along as I watch. this is so great ! I appreciate the time and effort you put into this.
I am planning on it. I'd like people to be able to see the references used for each area. I still need to clean it up a bit but I hope to have it posted soon.
All scripture is for reproach, for revision, for examination and discussion, for the word is not of man, but of Our Lord God Yahweh, in whom we all live and move, and have our being.
Very interesting. God chose each individual in His own way to make His Word Available unto all His creation. God bless each Writer and interpreter even all the kings who were in charge. Glory ahead.
Your marvelous endeavor is such a valuable gift. That you stick together, work together, and product per your individual talents is precious. I've listened several times. Thank you !
This completely smirks issue ,how was the new testament compiled who compiled it who wrote it and the fact the new testament was compiled and added to for over three hundred years the booked of the new testament selected out of many writings about Jesus. who decided which writings were included the car section on the nativity wasn't added until after 325 ad why? because we Jesus was not officially declared son of god until 325ad at the first ecumenical council at nicea there had been a rift in the early church between those who believed Jesus ti to be the divine son of god the trinity and those the believed Jesus to be a creation of god not god himself well the divine son followers won't the created son lfollowers. lost their monasteries burned along to with many writings about Jesus and monks murdered they were know as arians theirs was not a minority opinion about half of the early Christmas were arians the vote was fixed this is what I in expected how the bible came to be they all know the history but never speak on the dark History of the early church
What a joy. What a delight! You used well crafted words and visuals of beauty to present the History of God’s Word. Your skills in communicating the over 2 millennia plus years of the history of the Word is above par.
