My papaw was one of the last people in the eastern Kentucky/western Virgina regions who could work and read an analog gas well. It was crucial to be careful to get it right in the winter, because if you introduced water condensation into a pipe, you could cause half a mountain of people to lose their heat. He was often embarrassed by only finishing high school, and I would repeatedly point out the amount of math and geology he had to know to get his job right. None of us could ever.

У меня на родине Урале зимой 5-10 дней были морозы за -55°. И робили при нихоть и актированные эти дни были. Но чтобы получить прогрессивку надо план перевыполнить. А дома у нас были брусовые 16×16 брус, печи топили тоже дважды в день,но только берёзовыми дровами и закрывали их с жаром.

@@user-Colhchim у нас топить берёзой роскошно слишком, ибо ее нет. Топится практически любым кустарником и любым деревом. Дядька на Урале тоже говорит - вот дрова заготовил, берёза. И только ее. У нас же похрену, будет ёлка значить ей топишь, тополь - им топишь. Яблоней и грушей конечно жалко топить, благородные деревья.

В Забайкалье во время службы в армии жили в палатках по 45 суток. Температура падала до минус 60. Никто не умер. Обмороженные были, да, в основном из Средней Азии. Лицо, уши - это запросто.

Я всё детство около печи спала на старом бабушкином сундуке. Она с этим сундуком как переселенка приехала в Приморье в 1929 году! А сейчас этот сундук стоит у меня в кладовой. Печь тоже есть, но напрямую, в одну трубу с камином и подвпльным котлом.

Так себе конечно. Понимаю твоих предков, почему ломанулись в Калифорнию и вообще по всему миру. Если дома не тепло, то это не дом. А везде где можно жить, можно жить хорошо.

Не пробовал,но почему легче переносится? Живу в Ставрополе. Когда зимой бывает минус 24-27 градусов да ещё целую неделю,начинает организм уставать от мороза и с дома выходить никуда не хочется. Может от влажности воздуха зависит,так как сибиряки говорят,что у нас очень плохой мороз.

They're in Russia not California, so possibly never. Coal and wood provide fast, reliable heat. Even if homes switched to electric heat, the power plant would likely use coal or maybe natural gas to generate it. Distributed heating systems, even one as seemingly outdated as theirs, is already very efficient. Upgrading it to use natural gas would be a good middle ground with coal as backup.

Get out of here with your “decarbonization” nonsense. How do you think the electricity is generated dummy? You people are unreal. It’s -65 degrees outside and you’re worried about people burning wood to stay warm? You probably live on the coast of California where it’s 72 degrees F year round. Smh. And carbondioxid from wood is "recycable" if you or nature plant new trees to bind the same amount. Coal though, not. On the other hand very few people live in these areas (compared to the whole globe) so they could problably get some "dispensation".

Сейчас живу на Урале. Здесь зимой малая влажность и почти нет ветров. Температуры от -10°С до -20°С.Но в обычной зимней куртке на синтепоне тепло. Люди на улице работают, отдыхают и не мерзнут.
