I have fraternal twin boys too! Mine are 2.5. They actually look different. Your's to me look identical! They are too cute. And then i have a 4 yr old daughter. We homeschool too! 💙💚💛
I'm in bed laying with my 2 year old son who is refusing to go to bed and when you asked what sound a 'e' makes he repeated the sound with you. He has Down Syndrome and a speech delay. That just warmed my mommy heart.
I began training my boy to learn to read at 14 months. Despite the fact that I am uncertain concerning teaching my son how to read at 14 months, I made a decision to do it right and also made use of this reading tip. He is able now read through a whole book without my assistance at two years and four months. . Get this guide over here 4ChildrenLearningReading.blogspot.com
I was homeschooled throughout preschool all the way to high school. And I would say my parents had the pretty much same philosophy and priority about homeschooling like you and Weston, which I completely agree and have been blessed and benefited by it. Love this video and I am strongly resonated! I am 23 yet single. But I have always been dreaming about having a Christ-centered family and doing homeschool with my children! ❤️
I homeschooled my daughter in preschool (since at the time preschool was a paid thing where I live) and honestly, I think it gave her a great head start in life. When she started kindergarten she was reading Little House books, and Junie B Jones. She was doing adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing. She was just so advanced that it got to the point where it was hard to keep up with her. I was blessed with a wonderful public school system that caters to advanced kids, so she got all the extra advanced help she needed. For books, I got a lot at the dollar store. Honestly its a great place for books, stickers and coloring books. Craft time can be an extra time to learn too by asking simple questions like "what color are you using" and "what letter do you suppose that color starts with" and things like that. Little ones LOVE to learn, so even every day activities like shopping can be a little extra learning time. I love this video tho! Homeschooling is a great thing if you can do it, but public schools are great as well. Hailey is just taking off lately! Hearing her talk more is just amazing! Love that ponytail. lol too cute. Great video!
Ordering some homeschooling mats now. I did my homeschooling routine in my channel but i need more of these things. I love the inspiration. Ive been watchin your videos since you had your first children. Love it wonderful beautiful children!
I would LOVE to homeschool my daughter but I don’t feel like I have a personality type suited for it. Huge props to mamas who have the patience and willingness to do this!!! ♥️
Your artistry continues to blow me away. Everything’s always so put together and professional. I always enjoy watching your videos, my one year old babbles along right with hailey. Your blessings continue to blesses me.
Awesome Natalie! Loved how you mentioned how learning doesn’t just happen during “school time”. Everyday is full of learning opportunities/teachable moments. 💕😊
Thanks for sharing! We start our mornings quietly as well. Makes all the deference. I have had both a homeschool room and a "whole house" homeschool. When we had a homeschool room...I wasnt able to get much done around the house. The whole house homeschool works best for me. Thank you for sharing your day.
I pulled my kiddos out of public school a few years ago and never looked back. I have 5 kiddos and homeschool the older 3. Some days are hard but in the end it’s worth it. We use the curriculum ACE.
I totally think it's a twin thing! My twin boys do the same thing, even just hanging out they may start on different couches or something and they always end up right next to each other 😍
This was great, Natalie! Loved the glimpse into your homeschool, especially seeing what curriculum and books you use. 😊 You’re absolutely right, there are numerous teaching opportunities every day. ❤️
I home schooled my youngest son and he learnt more then his 3 siblings that attended school,he's now a team leader in his job and he's only 21 so home schooling is far more better, even walking/driving them around they can learn different aspects of life xx
Enjoyed this, as I'm homeschooling my little ones, too! :) We JUST finished Little House in the Big Woods and started Farmer Boy. I'm LOVING getting to experience these books again with my children, especially because my perspective of the stories is totally different now that I'm an adult. :)
Hey Natalie!! Do you think you could do a bible study video? Just how you look through and feel gods presence (maybe even how you live out his Soul every day!)
Please make more videos like this I would like to learn more ways to teach my child things, I just had a little girl but I want to give her a head start in learning before I send her off to school
Always watching you, and blessed by your honest information and authentic self. I have 20mo old girls, so having you & Weston’s wisdom to glean is super helpful. Thank you for the work you put in to making these videos and being so consistent, I love watching and learning from you all. And knowing you are brothers & sisters in Christ is the absolute best ♥️
Hi Nathalie. Thank you for this video. I am showing it to my 4 year old daughter as we have been doing homeschooling as well and it is so encouraging to see other mom's keeping it real and showing our kids the joy of learning from home and instilling principles and values into our little Blessing's lives that will last them their lives. Be blessed.
Thank you so much for this video! My husband and I have been contemplating Homeschooling our 3.5 year old and our 2 year old boys, but have had our doubts. This video has really helped us see that it's definitely possible and flexible. Thanks Natalie!
I plan to homeschool I have a 2&3 year old. We do verse memorization .. I have been just looking up easy short verses on Pinterest but I just ordered the abc memory card can’t wait for them to arrive ! My husband was homeschooled until 9th grade and so were his siblings his sister actually was homeschooled until college. My mother in law and father in law were both teachers for different age groups so it’s very encouraging for me because I know if I ever have a problem conveying a certain lesson I have them to help me ! I think homeschool really shaped my husbands family they are so close and since homeschool is flexible it shaped their work ethics. They were able to show in 4h and really get out and work with their animals, and they helped work on equipment with their grandfather. 2 of the three kids became farmer carrying on a long family tradition and I feel like homeschooling our children will allow them to also learn trades from a young age.
Natalie pleae make more homeschool videos! especially no that the kids are older. I have a 16-month-old baby myself so I'm always looking for ways to teach him and entertain him. thank you!
New sub ... momma of 3 too. Love what you said about learning never stops that there are so many opportunities after HS time. So true ... thanks for sharing! You’re kiddos are precious!
I'm only 20 and don't have any kids yet, but I still watched this video because I'm just really curious about this whole homeschooling thing and how different people do it. So far, I've always been very skeptical, but your video really shows how natural learning actually is and how you can include it in daily life in so many different ways. It made me think whether I would try it with my future children, but unfortunately, homeschooling is illegal in my country, so I guess I don't really have a choice (unless I move country, of course). However, thank you so much for this video, Natalie, it was really interesting and inspiring :)
I love your videos❤️ I was a pre-k assistant teacher for a year and you are doing AMAZING teaching your boys!! You are so patient and kind and such a wonderful mom💕
I really enjoyed this! I was homeschooled & would love to homeschool my kids. I have a 15m old & am pregnant with my second so I won’t be starting anytime soon. However thinking about it sometimes does make me nervous. Seeing your routine is inspiring & makes me feel like it is something I could start with them at least for the early years & play it by ear each year as you have said you are doing. Thanks so much!
I loved seeing this and how you homeschool your littles! I'm a homeschool mama too (currently only homeschooling my oldest who is 4, but will be starting my youngest on homeschool when she turns 2 next year). We are trying for baby number 3, so it's so helpful to see how you juggle homeschooling 3-it gives me hope that I can do it too...and with any luck, as gracefully and patiently as you
Hi Natalie, this video was so good. I'd love to learn more about your homeschooling and also what do you do with your kids on days you don't do homeschooling activities?
I remembered this video you posted awhile ago and went back and purchased the bible and leapfrog pad for my 2 year old daughter. I'll definitely be getting the memory verses when she gets older. Thank you for making this video!
I just came across your channel as I was searching for someone who homeschooled their children and I was very inspired by this video and not to mention you’re a Christian on top of that! And you have twins! Two amazing things we have in common! ( I have Fraternal twin girls)! I want to homeschool my children so badly (I have 8 btw only 5 are school age) but thinking about just starting with my 5 yr old because of a few issues she’s currently facing being in a public school and she’s being affected emotionally and it hurts me everyday I have to send her there... Do you have any tips on how to begin? I love the way you instill the Bible in your children and make Learning about the Lord first thing before starting anything else. You’re an amazing mother and keep doing what you’re doing! God bless you! 💕💕 definitely subbed! ✨
Start with kids bible=subscribed! Love ya sister thank you for making content to help other like minded mommas. I have a 3yo and a 7mo old and we are starting relaxed preschool at home. I am nervous and hesitant bit this video was exactly what I needed.
You are such an inspiration, I have a 13 month old baby girl and I love just teaching her little things here and there even though most likely she doesn't pay much attention yet. But I plan to do similar things that you do with your kids. Thank you for sharing😊
My twins are only 14 months but my husband and I have already decided to homeschool our girls. I have a background in child development and i stay at home so it makes sense for us to teach a home. I loved this video and I’d love to see more of your routine and get more ideas for the future.
I homeschool my 3 children and it is the best decision I have ever made for them. They love it and learn so much just by getting one on one attention and the fun crafts etc. We use Sonlight program and it is fantastic for second grade at least ☺️
Love this video! I'm a fairly new subscriber, living a very different life but love your outlook on everything. I'm about to start studying for my pHD and love seeing encouragement about learning and curiosity from a young age ❤️
My mom homeschooled me and my 3 siblings, and I now have a 4 year old who I homeschool. I've never met or heard of anyone who is in the same shoes, so that's really cool! My mom didn't allow us to do anything outside her teaching which I think was her only real downfall, and I definitely plan to homeschool, but with help when I need it. I know my math skills are nowhere near what they need to be to teach high school level 😂😂
Beautiful as always! Makes me sad once again because there is no such thing as home schooling in Germany 😭😭😭 Love how Hailey is goofing around infront if the camera ❤️
Like I said at the end of the video, whatever situation you find yourself in, you can always foster an environment of learning in your home and be an influence in your child's life! 😌 But I do wish homeschooling was available in more places around the world. It's truly a blessing and I'm grateful for the privilege.
Natalie, in the last two of your videos you unbelievably look similar to your sister Kristina, to the extent I catch myself thinking it is Kristina. How strange.. :)
Keith Schuebel hi if you don’t mind answering... how did it affect him socially? I want to homeschool my daughter but everyone I talk to gives me grief over it telling me she will be socially awkward and that she absolutely needs to experience the school environment. Any advice will be appreciated!
Thank you so much for this! I will be homeschooling my lo and my thoughts are a lot like yours with how I will do it. Love the bible study first, I am getting great ideas now. 👍😊 now if only i could figure out how you are so blessed with an 18 mo old that wants to nap! did you do CIO with her and the boys? I waited too long and my 16 mo old can’t soothe himself to sleep or go to sleep without my assistance of nursing or rocking: I wish I knew what you did with your babes. They are so good!!!
lpnffchick Yes I have! We only have one session of electronics per day and we do not rely on it to teach our children. It's just an extra thing in addition to what we work with them on!
Hello! It was very nice to watch your video. Through listening to the words that you talk about the homeschooling, I would like to ask how you think about the communication among your children and other kids if you homeschool them at home and they even don’t go to the kindergarten? I live in Germany and My husband and i sent our son to the kindergarten at his 5 years and half. After he went to the kindergarten, the kindergarten teacher has asked me for not only once why my child didn’t go to kindergarten when he was three years old😓. And she doesn’t understand how my husband and i didn’t let our child to join in the kindergarten group and try to communicate with other kids earlier. I don’t think they could get me when I heard her ask so... and I also don’t think theres something wrong with our child on communication with this society. You shall know what I mean...anyways, I wish to hear how you as a homeschooling mother think about so called communication among the kids especially the kids before they go to school... thanks for reading my words:). I’m gonna continue watching your other videos.
Alejandra Montoya that’s a huge misconception about homeschooling. You can give your child plenty of opportunities to interact with other kids. Like Natalie said, you are in charge of your child’s education. Part of learning is how to interact with other people/kids. You can find different programs and activities in your city that allows your son to interact with kids. Find a mommy group and do play dates. There are a lot of options to check the child interaction box.
Depending on where you live this could vary, but growing up we had a weekly co-op we went to where we made plenty of friends. I also took piano lessons and played basketball on a team specifically for homeschoolers. Not to mention I had friends at church too. I didn't miss out on any socialization growing up.
In the 10-15 years that I've spent being a homeschool tutor/teacher I've found that preschoolers are the MOST challenging to home school. It's NOT "very easy" ☺️
This video was so helpful!!! Thank you so much. I’m wanting to start a blog on my channel that I haven’t been doing in forever lol 🤦♀️ So I wanna start getting back to it and saw your video. I have a 3 year old and want to start homeschooling this year and start YouTubing it. Thank you so much for this video. I love your channel. I just subscribed :) I would love one back!!
Hi. I’m a new subscriber. I am also a Homeschooling SAHM. I have 4 children 13, 11, 7, 1. Your channel popped up in my feed and I was drawn to you. I’m so glad I found you. Great content. We also have a family channel 6breakingloose. And I have a personal channel Kim Jamieson. I would love for you to come on over and consider joining our family. I can’t wait to watch more of your videos. Thanks for sharing. Much love 💜
