Comet cleans the fabric and rubber soles. It’s what my grandma used to use on all my tennis shoes. You just make a paste and scrub it with a stiff brush
I used to work at a truck washing company and I’d take my old beat down shoes to the shop and pressure wash em it was the best life hack I’ve ever come across 😅
@@Phenomenal3021 Yes the bleach would only be good if the shoes are white but not if they are colored shoes. Magic Erase sponge works on vinyl shoes but always good to do a spot test if colored shoes anyway. Have a great day and Merry Christmas!
I use colgate toothpaste with a used toothbrush and scrub the whole shoe of my white canvas or converse shoes including the bottoms and leave it for 10-15mins in the sun and then wash with just plain water and it gets its original white shade...clean and new again....hope it helps..😊
Salon Care 40 volume. It’s a developer for hair. But slap some on, put plastic wrap over it, then put it in the sun for the day. Wipe it off after your done.
Been doing this for years! I like going to a Self-service car wash because the water is heated Just be careful around your ankles, blood doesn’t come out of white very easy 😆
do yk if itll work for colored ones too? i had red and yellow and a bunch other ones i need to clean cuz of mud and juice, theyre all solid colors, no prints so jw
For midsoles use Salon 40, a developer you can get at any hair supply store. Brush it on the rubber midsoles and wrap in plastic wrap, then put into sun or other UV light source for a while then rinse off and repeat process until desired results.
The best thing to clean the bottom of the converse is toothpaste with an old toothbrush. It works great 👍.. if you guys try it let me know how it worked out for you.
The diy carwashes? Like those little places where there’s no one actually working and you drive up and do it all yourself, it’s like $2 to start the washer I think, and you could do a quick rinse on your car too

I second toothpaste. I use white whitening toothpaste not the colored gel kind or blue not sure if it makes a difference but this is what works for me on the white soles on my Nikes
A bit late to say this, but Fiebing’s saddle soap is what I use on my shoes, makes them look brand new. The soap comes in tins, and a tin will last you as long as two years, if you don’t frequently use it. I would say once every Two, or Three weeks will suffice for cleaning.
I use mr clean pad on the plastic soles or rubber soles. I also like to make a paste with baking soda and water and dip a toothbrush into vinegar and scrub with the paste.
Magic eraser for the bottom and the front rubber type material. Works amazing. Might even be able to use that for spot cleaning the other part you got real clean.
I use pumice hand soap for the midsole. It's just abrasive enough to clean the dirt and grime off without damaging the midsole. Wipe with a wet rag after scrubbing and then wipe dry.
So a tip to cleaning the bottom part it grab a brush like I cleaning one or an old toothbrush use soap or dish power wash to scrub it I do this with mine all the time! And it makes them look new
The best way to get those bottoms white is comet or Ajax. You wet the area- take a toothbrush and put comet or Ajax on the tooth brush. The longer you brush- the whiter it gets. Wipe clean with wet cloth-
Oxyclean with cool water and a toothbrush for the bottoms. I soak the whole shoe in a bucket of oxyclean water and then I put them in the wash. I use a net bag just to make sure they don’t get yanked around in the washing machine.
A plate of water and baking soda on the rubber worked well for me on my vans. The picture should be thick enough that it doesn’t slide off. Leave out to completely dry for 24 hours and then carefully scrape it off. It’s good for stains on floors or countertops. Etc etc.
Buy some household kitchen and bathroom cleanser solution for counters and tile, etc.. It will clean the bottom of rhe converse shoes if you spray some solution, let it soak in a couple minutes, and then use a plastic brush to help remove the dirt and stains. Then spray off the dirt with some water from a spray bottle. Dry off with an old beat up tshirt or some soft cotton material.
Solution to clean the bottom White rubber is mixture of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide, maybe a dash of water but mix to thick paste apply and let dry. Will remove the yellow fast.
