How you started and got married etc is so similar to mine in so many ways! I too am a Jamaican Christian. We both sang on Praise and worship team, he is also several years younger than me. I remember when I finally found out how old he was I said ,oh my goodness! I’m robbing the cradle!!’ And when God confirmed he was the one I said to myself ‘ well, if it does bother God, I’m not gonna let it bother me. I remember being called a cougar by one of my coworkers. Didn’t even know what that meant but figured it out and all I did was screamed with laughter and said yes I am. We’ve been married 23 years now and our anniversary is Dec 27th. For me, I had promised the Lord that I’d marry whomever He told me to. All I asked was that He just confirmed it. My story is long and my married life story is longer. All I can say is God’s way and choice was the best. I pray y’all have at least another 100 years of marriage and then into eternity in Jesus Name Amen
My husband and I married after 7months of meeting he's the best man I've ever met. He's 3 years younger than i am when we made the decision church people treated me the worst they prayed for God to remove me however He can even if it meant death. I had so many close to death experience before our wedding but the Lord used them to pay for our entire wedding and now my husband and I are doing our own ministry we are in the prophetic, healing, teaching and deliverance ministry. So God had the last say!

Except adultery is involved in a union, I see no reason why the church people would be praying against you. Just because he is 3years older?. No, husband or wife snatching and adultery is frowned upon..but not age gap . A real church will not do that. Rather they will be happy for both of you

I canalso relate to the manner in which Tina speaks , b/c it's something I do having being a resident of the USA. You jump between two accents - Jamaican Patois/what's referrwd to as proper Jamaican. Ladies, when a younger man seed you, love you , wants you married to you, baptized together with you, same day and time with you. Let me know what else is missing. We lacked nothing. He leaves work at 4:pm, he is home at 4:30. He doesn't like to eat early when he gets home he cooks. I will bake a puddling for him, he loves that. No one makes a bed better than him let me tell you. And oh we have two children a girl and a boy right on time. God is good.

People stereotype, when it comes to an older woman with an older man. They would be surprised to know that there's nothing a young girl has than an older woman. Nothing at all. A wise man wants an older woman, and it is not always for money, or a roof over his head. It's all based on trust, responsibility, respect and not a younger girl who is going to say, I am going out with my friends tonight and come back home late in the morning 🌄 smelling like all sorts of things. Poor older man can't do anything because she is young and the fussing and the fighting begins, to keep her he better lay down the cash or else she is gone. With an older woman, the younger man doesn't have to worry about any of that. He is home too if he sees the woman he's got. No worries there they both are, Christians, they trust each other peace and comfort and contentment is in the home, food, the spiritual blessings are flowing through the house. Wow, ladies and gentlemen, there is nothing better than that. Who said an older man should have a young girl in his life? Ah!

I know Soo many people with 8yrs - 15yrs age gap, including my 3 close church friends, 1) 10 yrs difference 2) 12yrs difference 3) 15yrs difference The no.3 are my very close friends the Lady & my very close friend is a pastor & guy I knew him + his family thru a workmate in my friends wedding committee b4 HE met my Lady Pastor Friend. ALL THESE ARE NOW MORE THAN 10yrs in marriage and Amazingly happy & successful marriage MUCH MORE THAN people with smaller age gaps... Infact the latter seem miserable in comparison to the Former....
